Guys, while flashing cwmod recovery to my X , by some reason it got stock on fastboot.
Now I have no way to turn the phone off or reboot it.
Any help is appreciated...
My only way is to have it's battery drained?

Plug it on usb, download the fastboot exe and put it in the platform tools folder in android sdk. Open a cmd there and type:
fastboot reboot
There is the power off option in the fastboot menu

Fastboot power off
I have a htc amaze 4G and i selected power off in the fast boot and my phone does power anymore, it does not even show a red notification when i connect my usb to pc
Hi,
I had a problem with my HTC One X after rooting and installing a custom rom.
Problem:
Attempt to reboot device into recovery mode (Clockwork)
Phone Turns off and begins restart
HTC logo and then vibration and the logo again and the device started normally without booting into recovery!
After hours of playing around and re-flashing recoveries and trying different recoveries the actual solution was very simple!
SOLUTION:
ENTER FASTBOOT MODE (hold vol down and power button and wait for white screen with colored text, then select fastboot with the vol keys and the power button)
ON PC:
run cmd
"cd c:/XXXXX" XXXXX is the location of your fastboot ADB folder
"fastboot erase cache"
.........
........
THEN once back in hboot i could access the CWM Recovery no problems and install my new ROM!!
if this helps anybody at all, please let me know
hazzahex
The whole world knows this and been using it for months already.. welcome to the club mate

i have done it several times but i am sure this one matches my phone but....
i tried to erase cache it says command not allowed
I don't know huawei phones ! Don't know if it matches or not. Its clear that its def not a HTC one x ! Did anyone ever confirmed this working on a Huawei phone anyway ?
And a command not allowed indicates something is not unlocked, that error report on a genuine hox is because the bootloader is locked.

Thanx mate! You are my hero! After formating and wiping everything possible in clockworkmod I got into that problem. And as I wiped everything I never got the idea that still something have to be wiped.:good:
I just flashed a arhd rom a kernel and InfinitySound mod and then my phone was stuck in the htc quietly brilliant screen...
The main thing is i can't even enter the bootloader with "vol+power down" help please...
Keep pressing the power button for more then 5 second and you will see the 3 buttons blinking. After that phone will restart and then press volume down to enter in hboot.
Then look on xda a tool with witch you will flash a stock kernel.
Perhaps this is the solution for you

i tried it, but no luck... it still boots into the htc quietly brilliant screen.
Hold the power button to force a reboot. As soon as your HOX powers off press and hold vol down, keep holding until you enter hboot. It might take a few attempts
First boot can take awial I don't think your stuck its just loading
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
It's stuck not loading because I have waited 10 hours already. Also, I keep trying to get it into boot loader , but to no avail... tried 30 times already...
Without getting into the bootloader, there's nothing I can do...

Does your phone keeps rebooting?
If so, it sounds like you haven't flashed the correct boot.IMG
You need to flash the correct boot.IMG that is for the kernel you flashed.
-----
As for boot loader, why don't you just use the adb command?
adb reboot bootloader
As for the button combination not working, you need to hold both power & volume down at the 'exact same time', and don't release them until your boot loader screen shows - even if it does an extra reboot, keep them held!

I am having the same problem, and i forgot to backup my previous rom. I rooted, and unlocked my phone, then i tried to install the rom, it installed. however now it just stays in the spinning loading sign for CM10. Is there anyway of putting another rom on the >fake, ie internal> sd card, which cant get removed from the acctual phone? so then i can install that rom? i have tried reinstalling the rom but that didnt work
Click to collapse
If you have cwm 5.8.4.0 you can mount the sd card as usb drive.
Don't forget to flash the boot.img that goes with the ROM.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
You are probably forgetting to flash boot.img using fastboot from your pc, from your description. After flashing boot.img, issue a
Fastboot erase cache
Or you will most likely get bootloops.

You really need to get your phone boot to fastboot-mode and flash the correct recovery that way now, you can find on this forum how to boot to fastboot, if I am right it is Volume Down + Power On. You will see the Huawei logo (it will look like your phone is stuck).
You can check with fastboot devices if it really is in fastboot-mode.

When your phone gets stuck on huawei logo it means you are in bootloader mode which means adb commands dont work anymore thats why the computer isnt recognizing it, so you need to install fastboot drivers and use fastboot commands to flash anything.

Once I had the same problem with P6 and someone told me to plug in charger and it will charge but very slow. And then i put b132 firmware on sd card, hold 3 button combination and phone did the rest

Hello prakash... Press power plus volume up for 10 seconds. It will automatically restart. As soon as you see it's restarting press volume down.. it will go into bootloader..
Flash proper recovery now from fastboot.. enjoy
Or directly go to boot loader if your phone is off.
Volume down + power.

If not how did you get into that problem ?
Did you try force shutting down by pressing power down ?
Did you try "Press power plus volume up for 10 seconds" option ?

even i am stuck in this mode, after the 3rd step from WinDriod Toolkit flashed supersu, returned to install Lineage OS from TWRP mode, was sucessful in that too however forgot to install GAPPS after that and proceeded further, phone asked that super su not installed and if i want to install one now, proceeded from there and the screen now shows a 'sad Teal colour smile',
Also the volume + power up worked and device restarted however vol + power down doesnt seem to work and device returns to the same state 'sad Teal colour smile'.
