wont work
no EFS means brick, cannot be restored by yourself. head to service center and tell them that it happened when upgrading with kies

[Q] [HELP] No imei, no baseband after flashed stock rom!

- This is the second time i lost my imei on N7105T (Vodafone Australia)
- The first time i flashed N7100 kernel for N7105T without backup efs. So, the phone showed no imei and no baseband. I decided to flash back the Vodafone AU stock rom version 4.1.1 . Finally, imei and baseband were back. So, i was so lucky. I backup efs to make sure it will not happen again.
The second time i flashed Singapore stock rom version 4.1.2 . Then, i got same trouble again means no imei and no baseband, i tried to restore efs. but nothing happen. It flashed Vodafone stock rom but it still show nothing.
Could anyone help me? I am on stressful. Sorry for my English.

If you don't have any backup you have no chance without going to the after-sales service.

Sorry but you have no solution I believe... We always say that EFS folder backup si the most important to do just after rooting.
Without warranty / backup I don't know any solution on Note II.

What did you use to flash? I ask because the same thing happened to me when I tried to use Mobile Odin, and I will sure never use it again Luckily all I needed to get back to normal state was to flash stock ROM with Odin from the PC....

Hey bro
I had the same problem.
Invest in octopusbox.

You should check their website.
It can unbrick if it is a software problem.
The box comes with a micro uart cable.
The box has a tutorial when you use it.

I still can't believe how many people don't know this:
Backing up your EFS Folder on a N7105 will do nothing
It is a different chip in the LTE (7105) and the standard "Backup your EFS" _does not_ work.
There's a couple of other apps out there that will do it for you. We're lucky though, it's possible to re-create the EFS for the 7105, not so easy for the N7100.
But really - do people not know this at all??
Here is the tool to be using - it supports the Qualcomm chips which our lovely N7105's have. LTE support, DC-HDPA etc. Poor N7100 users...
Did you check your phone memory for a backup?? Many developers add the efs backup script to their installer.

it's no method solve this problem ..? :crying::crying:
i solve i9305, write imei method , but 7105 is write protect ,read only ..
Happened to me when I flashed ROM via mobile Odin. I just flashed stock ROM again and got my IMEI/baseband back... worth a try.
nothing can be done at this point you will have to pay for the support.
Always remember to make a backup of EFS before flashing files.

Please help! Rogers i317m Unknown IMEI and Baseband and can't access internal storage

I really need some help! I totally screw my note 2 up. I flashed the rooted stock rom onto my note 2 using odin and I made the mistake of checking Nand erase all and now I have unknown IMEI and Base band and can't seem to access internal storage at all.
I made a backup with twrp first I thought but when I restore it there is no change. I've been searching and reading for 3 days now and I can't fix it! I am at a total loss on what to do.
Any help would be totally appreciated

If you can see the EFS file via PC on your SD card. ..There is hope to push those files to the device using terminal command line. ..
If a scan of the files does not reveal the EFS files. ..
Well. ..it's a loss. .
Here's to hoping the files are really there somewhere. ...g
Edit: The link may help. ..and as referenced in the link. ..
We want nv_data.bin...
It contains the EFS AND IMEI information. ..g

Thanks for helping!
There is an efs.ext4.win and efs.ext4.win.md5 in my backup on my SD that twrp created but I don't know what to do with them. I did the restore through TWRP already to no success.
And I am trying the NV reader/writer but I can't get it to talk to my phone
Also, I tried to go through to procedures in the first link but when I go into the EFS folder there are no nv_data files whatsoever!
Contact the developer of the tool kit also. ..
And as I read the thread. ..it mentioned the no connection and had a work around. .
Scan every post. ..the answer is there I'm sure. .
Keep at it. ...If you have EFS files. ..you have nv_data.bin...and a way back...
You just need connection. ...check "all" drivers for the device on the PC...and you will find the trick...

Did you search your entire device for the folder efs_Backup? It should create automatically. If you don't find that. Use note2 toolkit and restock.

I have a phone backup not the EFS backup. The Imei got corrupted all of a sudden. Next time i'll keep a EFS backup. i have few stock roms but i don't have Modem / recovery Roms and i found this thread " http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31986738&postcount=6 " but the links are dead. You got any links to download stock ROMS along with Modem / Recovery / Bootloader , then please do share. Also, ROM links are slow if you can provide fast meta link that would help.

Cannot mount EFS, bootloop.

Hello there,
Im with a big big problem right now, I was at Slimbean ROM 4.3 (JB 4.2) and triet to install original Samsung rom via ODIN, when I did I lost my EFS folder, IMEI, etc., but my phone did turn on and i could use it except for calls and messaging.
After several tries to restore my efs folder again (I had an efs folder "efs.tar" that is about 3mb but dont remember which program i used to create it) it simple doesnt turn on and is stuck at Samsung Logo, i tried instralling original ROMS via ODIN, custom roms via CWM and nothing of that works, i can copy files from the efs.tar backup file to the efs folder, but after i reboot it all dissapear and the efs folder is empy.
I tried lots, and I mean lots of ways to recover my efs, or even boot my phone but i get no luck at all.
If anyone can help me please, there is no way to send to Samsung at all.
Thanks in advance,
DCastro555

I cannot turn on the device, i cant acces my phone, only CWM recovery and download mode.
Already tried one of those but when i click on mount /efs i get an error telling Unable to mount /efs!
Maybe if I could get an efs.tar that my Odin could accept i could start the phone, and later copy all my efs files to the efs folder, but i cant find any.
Have you read link i have attached?
That's you have to do in recovery.
