Hi,
I want to install the next rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448552
through recovery mode.
But how do i come in the recovery mode on my SE Arc S?
--
I had already tried with ROM Manager but then nothing happens, only the phone is rebooted, and does not start in recovery mode.
--
Thanks!
Install the x-parts app and through the app install recovery.
To boot into recovery, turn on your phone and in the Sony Ericsson splash screen (not the boot animation, the first screen) and when the LED indicator turns blue, press volume down, then you'll be in recovery.

installing cwm recovery using cwm autoinstaller apk but my phone does not reboot into recovery.i have tried pressing every key volume rockers, back key, mrnu key but nothings happen.pls help.
Propably you'll need to have kernel with recovery inside so you'll have to unlock bootloader.

Factory reset shouldn't do any harm. It's just going to delete all your data on phone and restore default settings. Anyway, if you would eventually have some problem, you will be able to fix it with Flashtool.

You want to install cm10.1? You must use custom kernel with it... They have cwm version built in... You don't have to install cwm...

Oh yea! Sorry. LT15i. I was flashing the omega ROM.

It's not bricked just stuck on bootloop.
Reflash either stock rom or if you have working fastboot then install a custom kernel that matches the Rom you tried originally.

Put the device in flashmode? Or download mode? (Hold back button or menu button? then connect the phone to the pc)
To install the boot image or stock rom?

press the menu button and plug the usb for fastboot (download mode) which indicates blue color notification.
Just tried to flash the boot.img from omega, didn't work! Still showing Sony logo and nothing further :/ But I can now go in to CWM ;D
You don't want to go to cwm. Just flash it with stock kernel (.ftf ) using flash tool. Then you'll be able to run your handset!!
Best of luck.

HI all
Sorry if this have been covered else where, i am stuck, or rather my phone is.
I performed a hard reset the other day, and it has been stuck in a boot loop sequence since.
I have performed the hard reset again ( a number of times) again to no avail.
The screen shows the Sony Logo then the Xperia animated logo, then goes back to the Sony logo.
I have attempted to flash the phone, but as it is in the wrong mode i believe i don't get the result i need. I am not to fussed about the data on the phone, but i wouldn't mind fixing it.
please see screen grab from the attempt i made with the flasher. My apologies if i am in the wrong place, done the wrong thing, poor syntax
i am a noob with a dead phone.
Any help or pointers to the correct link would be most appreciated

no i can't say that i have. i'll give it a bash and see what happens.
To get into flashmode, press VOLUME DOWN when connected to computer.
Hope this helps
Mate,
If you haven't unlocked the boot loader you can try downloading Sony update service and reflashing the stock firmware.
This method will wipe all data on the phone but you will then be able to use it.

Use SEUS to repair your phone, if not use Flashtool. Please search next time instead of posting a new thread about a common issue.

hmm
its been noted that recoverx doesnt work with the 96fw (not only that but chance not to work at all on any firmware)
there is a cwm installer in the dev section somewhere
try that instead

Try this :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2308493&highlight=doomlord
I assume that you manage to root your phone, so there should be no problem to install CWM with this method.
