Every time you donate to xda you get a star.
It's not possible to answer your question, since you might hate what others like. Just have a look and try stuff out. I always liked the JellySandwich stuff but currently I'm on FXP's CM10

I think the threads in this forum do a great job of laying out what is available and for what model its available for.
I searched and found these two threads. One is dedicated to r800x the other is a overall of Xperia Play and listed who developed what and credits them all.

Stick to stock for your own good, since you refuse to search and read you will end up bricking your phone anyway.
I flashed doomlords new kernel and UK firmware and a CDMA patch last night and O/c to 1900mhz, was pretty cool. Camera and MMS ...didnt... work though. If you still plan to o/c your r800x expect it o/c nice and smooth and then other things just wont be working anymore.. beware!
could someone elaborate on that mythical Chevy patch which is supposed to allow R800i Roms on CDMA phones? It'd be golden for my thread...

Looking at all his nonsensical threads, I am pretty sure even that will not do.
You know that a simple question would put an end to such threads, and instead of acting so tough and all-knowing you could actually help...
But going back to our sheep, cm8 was supposed to be Android 3.0 which was dropped ( because it is meant for tablets only) .
The new CyanogenMod, cm9, will be android 4.0 which will be released, maybe or maybe not, in the next 2-3 months if we are lucky. As you might of heard, you need good hardware to run Ice Cream Sandwich, which Wildfire does not have.
Lol why would you want to wait for that i mean, some devs are already working on ICS

That forum isn't for asking, this was the right place to post for that. Just saying.
But yea, just wait for an official ftf file. It'll come eventually!

You really think it will ever get that cold? (As in "When Hell freezes over...")
I think we R800x owners have a better chance of seeing ICS from our devs here than we will from Big Red.

Okay I will ask this, have you asked the thread's original poster to have the consent to open up a general topic discussion thread? It is very impolite and rude if you didn't.
Speed is nothing more than just a word... a judgment ...
No I haven't. Original poster of cm9 thread, if you find this rude, please pm me and I will request for it to be closed. If you find that my attempt to keep your thread clean and open is uncalled for, I apologize. Thanks for your work. Happy?

Mods have requested that QandA threads be opened for all ROMs to keep the dev section clean. I don't see this as being disrespectful or rude.
Anyway let's move on to better things.

In my personal opinion, I hate this, I rather talk to all my flashers than have to go to another thread to talk to them. In my opinion, this is just what I believe. I was just making sure no devs get mad c: that's all.
Before you flash, make sure you download the rotation fix and have it ready to flash after the rom. Or just turn off auto rotation.

No, i believe it has to do with the script support needed to flash CM9, which often possesses a larger kernel than stock images.
Just wanted to say thanks to the guys who are working on this. Just got my GSII a few days ago and was dismayed to find there were no good touchwiz free options for me, and then just in time this cm9 port went up.
I can't use my camera for now, and I'm afraid to turn off my gps, but it's a small price to pay for you guys all putting so much work in to exactly the rom that I wanted. I'll be sticking with this rom and donating to keep development going. Thanks guys.

Someone posted a work-a-round in the Dev section of CM9 about this. Someone else confirmed it worked for them. They said when in non-touch CWR to unmount then remount the cache partition. Then flash the SuperWipe script, then flash the ROM. They created an issue for it here: http://code.google.com/p/hercskycm/issues/detail?id=20 I would head over to the DEV section and read what they posted about it before doing it though.
I think that's the route I'm going to take since I'm still a little unsure about using 'touch' just yet.

Which touch version are you using? I'm about ready to make the leap. I've just become so familiar with the standard recovery. I'm leaning towards the version you pay a couple bucks for through ROM Manager. Even though I've never used ROM Manager for anything. But I've heard it's okay to upgrade or flash your recovery through ROM Manager though?

You can either flash the rom manager version or odin it. Thats the one I am using. Although a new version from team win just came out for my skyrocket and ill probably give that one a try.

Agreed, stupid IMHO to have to check for updates at one place then ask questions/search for answers in an other. One ROM, one thread.

Troll elsewhere please.
Hello everyone, I find this all a tad confusing so bare with me.
I have a rooted arc lt15a (screenshot attached.)
Gingerbread 2.3.4
Kernal 2.6.32.9-perf
build 4.0.2.A.0.42
I would like to go to ICS on my phone only if I continue to have it rooted so I can keep RAM usage low.
Do I root again? What version?
I have looked at other threads, but the circumstances with what others have installed is different, not sure if I follow the same steps from the root I have.
help would be appreciated, thank you

Ok sorry if I didnt help! Good luck with that temper!
Btw it doesn't matter what you have now! You'll have to flash 4.0.4 then flash 4.0.3 kernel, use Doomlord's rootkit and after rooting flash 4.0.4 kernel again! No rocket science dude!

...People also tend to be a bit more helpful if you post on an existing thread, which demonstrates you've at least read a thread explaining the "how to".
