[Q] Xperia S kept install unwanted apps after reboot - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi,
I have a rooted xperia s running 6.1.A.2.45
For some reason, my phone kept install unwanted apps like officesuite, wisepilot, and mcafee everytime I reboot my phone.
Is there anyway I can stop this?

use titanium backup then uninstall those apps

That's actually what I do every time after I restart my phone. I guess the question is, can I stop this nonstop reboot installation process ?
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium

Try freeze them instead if u can't uninstall.
Or uninstall via applications
These apps comes with sony firmware, its weird that it revived after uninstallation.

try factory reset then do it again.

Your only rebooting? Not kernel flashing?

Help with Titanium Backup Pro

Hello friends!
I have a SGSL XXKPH Rooted & Deodexed. I am using Titanium Backup Pro for managing my softwares and backup. Problem is that whenever I try to remove any stock software through Titanium Backup Pro, it does remove the software but my phone automatically restarts after that. This wasnt happening before I Deodexed my phone. I ever tried other softwares like Nitrality but the same problem persists.
Can you please help me with this problem? I dont think the phone should restart automatically if I remove a stock software. Is this normal after Dedoxing or is there a problem?
Thank you.

I am using paid Titanium backup pro and have used the free version also. I can confirm that removing any system apps DOES NOT restart the phone. Better remove Titanium itself, reboot and reinstall from market so as to have latest version.
Do as above said
And also check whether you have activated usb debugging mode?

What busybox version you got?
what app you trying to remove?
And have you tried mybackup?
Sent from my gt-I9003 with A.I. Type
I have busybox 1.18.4
No I haven't tried mybackup.
I tried removing stock calculator, stock ebook reader etc...
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA Premium App
Titanium backup installed his own busybox so it has not to depend upon device busybox.
I have once this problem when i flashed skin beta cf root kernel.
But it's long time ago with beta kernel testing.
Please tell how you root your device.

try to use
1. SGS tools: go to "Cleanup System App". It can make backup of removed applications
2. nitrality: go to "Applications" and uncheck unneeded applications
Both of them are free and can be found at the market
Either use TB to convert app to user app then delete, or, easier if you use sgs chlorine to delete lots of apps at the same time

I change my ROM a lot and use TB Pro. With some ROM`s after doing a backup or restore my phone restarts.

What is the first thing you do after flashing a new rom?

Just for fun. But who knows, it might help someone out there.
First thing I do is to install titanium backup and restore my preferred keyboard - Swype. There is surprisingly no rom that comes with this as default keyboard. Nobody here uses it?
After that I just check out what the rom has to offer and see if everything's working right. If I like it I start restoring my apps and setting up stuff.
Post yours.

Actually I have not installed a custom rom yet but I still do this after wiping data
and will also do the same when I flash a custom rom
I turn of my use of packet data as it charges more money

im not being rude here but after flashing a new rom, i reboot my phone. lol
just joking.
login my google account, and sync my contacts. install root explorer, link2sd, reboot, restore apps or data thru titanium, then explorer the rom. oh before i forgot, i text my own number to be sure that i have the correct csc.
and lastly, install opera mini, go to xda, give a feedback. hope it helps, just a reminder, reboot first. hahaha

after flashing new roms, I boot the Phone, then go over all the Android Introductory questions until i get into the phone's menu... after that, I restart my phone. Boot into recovery, and wipe /cache and /data. reboot. and then go over the android questions. Check the hardware if they are still working, and observe if there are any differences.. I then set up my calendar, alarms, ringtones... restore messages from sim card, reinstall apps as APKs. The last thing I do is login to google, then to Samsung for the SIM Change Alert...
First, I get rid of the bloatwares (if any). Then, I restore my apps w/ Titanium Backup. Then, I login to Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

third, i check the running background services
fourth, root and restore my apps etc.
This thread helps me a lot ..
Btw.. First thing after wiping data or reflashing is rooting, restore apps from titanium, set ringtone, wallpaper and then set the setting of my phone and some apps. add some launcher (GO launcher EX) and then install memory cleaner (1 tap) .. and uhmmm.... i CHEck if there is anything wrong in my phone by dialing *#0*#. I hope there is an app that checks everything on the phone's hardware so that im not so tired of checking it's application like camera or music player if it's working... is there any??
That's absolutely essential for me Titanium all the way

[Q] Uninstall System app on .62 Firmware

Hi to all,
I have installed the new firmware (4.0.2.A.0.62) for my Xperia Pro with OTA, to preserve the root access. Now I'm trying to uninstallal Uefa.com, Moxier Pro and Xperia Hot Shots from my phone. I have uninstalled it with success, but when I restart the phone these apps reappear again. I also used Titanium Backup to uninstall them but nothing is change...
is there anyone who has had the same problem and managed to solve it?
try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326120
Thanks Wayne, but unfortunately I can not resolve if I eliminate them using rootexplorer. It is as if each time the system starts they will be downloaded and installed again...
With .58 firmware I not had this problem...
It only happened after I upgraded to .62
Hmmm that's strange...maybe you should flash .62 Firmware again using flashtool
Sent from my LT18i using xda premium
Thanks Wayne, I finally solved the problem!
I communicate the process so others can also be solved it.
There is a file in the folder "system / app" called "CustomizedApplicationInstaller.apk".
Delete it with rootexplorer and the "UEFA", "Xperia Hot Shots" and "Moxier Pro" apps will no longer be installed at system boot

[Q] Titanium Backup Caused All App Force Close

does anyone have the same problem with me??
or anyone know how to solve this problem?

If all apps force close maybe you accidentally deleted dalvik files or "orphan" data. Do you have a backup of your ROM?

Sometimes it happens to couple of users of Kv5. There is quite a number of posts about it throughout the forums.
Cause unknown for now. It's something with mounting system partition?

i can't detect whether this problem caused by the problem with mounting system or anything else, cause when i got this error,i simply do nandroid restore..

I had this problem before, I think it was because you accidently tried to restore a system app from another rom. Try restoring one by one, not through batch.

anyone figured out whats causing this? its just started happening to me
I noticed if I don't reboot but power off I dont get this problem, anybody else rebooting instead of powering off then on? Maybe that's why the ace 2 doesnt have an option to reboot in power menu in stock roms only power off, was everybody using reboot from either TB or another app?

[Q] Titanium Backup Pro can't uninstall stock apps

Hi,
I recently updated my Hercules T989 to Jellybean 4.1.2 via Kies. When I was on ICS, I could easily uninstall the t-mobile stock apps(or any other stock apps) using Titanium Backup Pro. But after upgrading to JB 4.1.2, I cant uninstall a single stock app. I tried updating Titanium backup pro from 4.1 to 4.5.6 but its still the same. It can freeze the apps but one app: 't-mobile accounts' unfreezes itself. I dont know how it happens. By the way, the device is rooted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Are you sure Titanium Backup has root permissions? Check your Superuser app log and make sure they're being granted. You need root access for Titanium Backup to be able to remove/freeze system apps (like the built-in stuff).

Yes, I have rooted my phone after I upgraded the firmware through kies. I checked my root status using the app 'Root Checker Basic'. It says my phone as proper root access.

Yes, I have checked it. TB has been granted root permissions. TB successfully freezes all my system apps. But only one app - "T-Mobile My Accounts" unfreezes itself automatically after a while. I dont know how or why that happens. All my other system apps stay frozen except that one single app. And about uninstalling, none of the system apps can be uninstalled. When I run the batch operation to uninstall, it shows the progress bar but gets stuck at 0%. No progress at all.

my problem along with a screenshot
TB freezes all my stock apps. but as I mentioned earlier, one app - "T-Mobile My accounts" unfreezes itself after a while. And when I try uninstalling any stock apps, it just gets stuck. The progress bar doesnt move (show any progress). I am attaching a link to a screenshot about what happens.

Please if anyone has found the solution to this problem, I would be very very grateful.
PS. : As other members suggested, I have checked everything. The Chuck Norris mode is on. TB has root permissions. Everything seems to be in order.

Sounds like you are using a stock based ROM then. So you will have to live with that app. Otherwise you may cause problems by trying to delete or freeze it. Anybody that is determined to remove it, you can use a root based file explorer and delete the apk from the system/app folder. Backup the app somewhere by copying & pasting it in another folder, so you can replace it later if you start experiencing issues.
hello guys,
