Hey my bluetooth and wifi both are not working. I go to wifi in settings click to turn it and it says turning on wifi for a while then the toggle sets back to off and if i try again same thing happens again and again. Exact same thing happens with bluetooth, not to sure when it started because i recently started using mobile data so have not been using wifi alot. Im currently using MIUI.us 2.10.19 v4 | 4.1.2 (JB) | 10/20/12 and was on codefire when it started, have flashed numerous other roms, jelly bean or ICS roms with the exact same thing happening each time for bluetooth and wifi. I tried restoring to a previous back up when it was all working but same thing happens there as well. how can i fix this ? anyone else have this problem ?
Your wiping you data before installation of any ROM right?

yes definitely every time i flash roms. The only reason that comes to mind that might have caused this i dropped this about 4 times last weekend. On the SAME night could it be that i damaged something inside ?
Maybe the two cables that are WiFi and Bluetooth came unplugged or are making contact with each other.

Do you know how i can fix ? which cables would it be ? what are the chances of my phone still working if i open it and try to fix it ? I also noticed the volume buttons don't work. They do sometimes, but rarely so if I am looking at fixing it, might aswell try to fix that up aswell. But that is not major, i just want the wifi and bluetooth to work so im looking at opening it up ?
I don't know how to fix it.

Hello,
After updating from CM9 to CM10 I started facing wifi issue. My phone works normally for 1-3 days, and then wifi stops working. If I go to wifi settings, it says "Searching for Wi-Fi Networks". Also, wifi cannot be turned off. After reboot wifi operates normally for some time until this glitch happens again.
I thought it was CM-related issue, but some people say they have faced this issue even with stock JB.
Do you have this issue? How can it be fixed?

Thanks, but I'd like to know if there is a way to fix it completely Does everyone just toggles airplane mode? Is there a firmware without this issue?

No idea on how to fix it, i have it too.
It's not happening too frequently to bother me.
Is there ; Support connect to wireless network by QSS (Quick Security Setup)??
for this build patch?
I have this exact same problem on CM10. I did a full wipe and the problem remains
I will keep searching for a solution, but I really hope someone can tell us more information as to what the cause might be.

i have same problem with CM10. i flash other ROM (XenonHD) and issue has gone.sorry my bad english
So i flashed the Sabsa Prime 8.0 rom, and immediately afterwards the 8.5 'update', and everything just works perfectly, really smooth and well, but i'm finding trouble with the wi-fi. Whenever i try to turn it on, it keeps hanging on 'turning on wi-fi'. Does anyone also have this problem, it's really a bad thing. Anyone knows how to fix this? thanks.

i share the same problem with my HTC Incredible S
Edit:
I managed to fix the issue by flashing the IMG manually
Don't ask me why, but dirty reflash works for me

Did you try rebooting your phone?
It might sound dumb, but it resolved the problem for me!
Try to disconnect WiFi
Then restart your mobile
Then on WiFi. That should fix your problem.
If still not then re install the Rom .

You cannot turn it on, it is never reaching beyond "turning on" in the first place.
to the topic starter:
things proved NOT to work:
reboot
reflash
changing radios
changing kernels
Thanks for bringing it up though mate. All these developers finally have to look into this problem, about time they do that, it's been a month or so.
Just in case -- this is a generic ICS problem, that means e.g. before I settled down on Sabsa 8 (and now 9), I tried blackout, trickdroid, sabsa 7.0 -- all of these had this or similar wi-fi problem. Either wifi not working at all, or working randomly after reboot (i.e. if you are lucky, if you not, you have to reboot it again).
Me seriously suspects a kernel problem, by the way. And I tried most possible combinations with ICS roms, radios and kernels. Doesn't fix this problem. 3-4 different dhd radios, two different kernels and by now 5 different roms.
I'm on Sabsa atm cause even if it doesn't have wifi, at least it doesn't crash, cause some roms (including sabsa 7) actually used to crash massively and at random, to the point you had to remove a battery, and all that I do suspect was due to wifi problems. Sabsa 8/9 now never actually turns wifi on, but I at least have no crashes whatsoever :XD
I did some search and found older threads with similar problems but found nothing that really fix my issue...
Just bought Samsung Bluetooth earpiece for my T989, it was working perfectly for 2 days. Now i can't turn on bluetooth at all. It search for devices for 10 seconds and come back to off by itself. Sometimes i can get it works after turning it on for 7-8 times.
I thought it was a Rom issue because was using jedi jelly (att Leak) for few days only... So i wipe everything, going back to my old Jedi Mind Tricks but still having problems turning bluetooth on.
So i Odin it back to stock, now Bluetooth come back to life... Re-install Jedi Jelly, Bluetooth still works perfectly.... I used it for 3 days and now it dead again...
Anyone else with similar issue ???

I've struggled with this for months and I've finally fixed it.
It was the root! When I unrooted all went back to normal. I tell you, before that I tried EVERYTHING and nothing worked.
Sorry to bump this again but missed last post and because i still carry this issue 1 year later, i decided to try to unroot just for fun....Lol!!! Finally, I can confirm the root interfere with bluetooth... That's why when i odin back to stock, bluetooth start to work again! If i Root, after 1 day or 2 using bluetooth functionnality, problem came back!
Anyone else having this issue ?
Any other way to root without having this bluetooth issue ??

Was having bluetooth crashes for months using CM 10.1 on a T989 (no custom kernels)
Would crash anytime I tried to connect to car BT audio, or would simply not start up.
Flashed this yesterday.... and no crashes!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174100
For flash: Wiped dalvik/cache, flashed, fix permissions, reboot, start BT, deleted all devices, re-add.
No BT crashing of any sort for 36 hours now.
Hi Guys,
I have been having an issue with my S4 mini where if Bluetooth is turned on it will not see any Wifi networks, however if I turn off bluetooth it connects and works right away.
I have tried going back to stock and different kernels but I am getting nothing, and its sending me spare, since I sued bluetooth a lot.
Anyone else experienced it?
I am running stock 4.2.2 at the moment rooted, and have tried all sorts of roms and kernals.

I'm running Proxyuser's Slimrom (JB) and F4ktion 1.3.0 Kernal has no such problem. Maybe try this combination? But I remember no such problem even before I did anything to the phone (ROOT/ROM/Kernel, etc), only the battery drain issue at standby.

Thanks! I'll Give it a go.
Ok, what strange is it seems to only be when I have root.
If I have root enabled, nothing, if I unroot my phone, all works perfect.
EDIT:
Well that's not true any more, running SlimKat now, slimjim gave that same result

Guys, I have this one major issue with audio in my phone and its the rarest of the problems! The whole audio output stops completely. By completely, i mean even the receiver sound. completely dumb! cant hear anything if someone calls me. This has been occurring since a month or so. I am running on Cyanogenmod 11 M8. Even if i restart the phone its stays the same way. And all of sudden, randomly, the audio back again, working properly. when it goes dumb it stays like that for 5 6 hours. it happens quite often. this is throwing me off totally.
Device : Galaxy S3 SGH i747 - At&t
This problem happens:
1) when i am on call, suddenly it goes mute.
2) when the phone is kept idle for more than 3 4 hrs. So every morning its dumb when i wake up.
These are what I've tried and what I've found out:
1) I reverted back to stock 4.3 to check if its the problem with audio hardware. But in stock it worked perfectly and flawlessly. no issues there. SO its definitely got to do with cyanogenmod.
2) I flashed ktoonsez kernel on CM 11 M8, to check if its kernel problem. But its happening again. SO its not the problem with kernel.
3) I recently found out that if I wipe the cache from recovery, audio is back working. SO its definitely something in the cache thats messing with the audio. Some app may be.
this thread can be referred for more details on this issue:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/81373-audio-stops-working-from-time-to-time/
and I dont know what else to do now. Ive tried uninstalling all the apps that access audio. But the problem still persists.
I really really need help fixing this one. PLEASE HELP.

I've had that issue a month or two ago but haven't seen it on the latest ROMs. I'm not sure what causes it but I would suggest you flash another ROM if CM messes up with your sound (or another version of CM).

Hi, Thanks for the response. I personally like CM and the extent of customization it offers. I actually dont mind switching cuz sound is bigger deal. Would you mind suggesting ROMs that are similar or comes closer to CM and also good at the same time? which ROM are you on?

Hey it got fixed in the latest nightly ( cm-11-20140721-NIGHTLY ). I had put it in cyanogenmod forum, I guess they read the issue and fixed it. Audio is perfectly fine now! Feels so great to use cyanogenmod again.
Thank you cyanogenmod!
I have this issue too but it doesn't have to do with the audio disappearing; it's simply gone from the get-go after clean flashing a ROM.
As you've said, stock FW and ROM works fine, but anything custom will just totally break it. Seems to be a very isolated issue with the phone itself, I've searched all over for people with the same problem but could never find anything.

Oh. It used to happen to me once or twice. No audio when I install CM, after it boots the first time. I think you should check the new nightly of 7/23. Looks like its fixed. They've fixed a number of audio issues over the last few nightlies. And I've always preferred CM over any other roms, so I've no idea about why it isn't working on other roms.

Thanks for the suggestion, I may as well give it a try since most everything else I've tried has had the same issue.
edit:
Clean flashed latest CM nightly, sound worked for around 2 minutes, then stopped when I plugged headphones in. Rebooted, got it to work via speakers again but then DSP manager force closed and left me without sound.
Rebooted into recovery, cleared cache, still no dice.
Going to try another clean flash to see if I can get sound to last a while longer.
edit 2: It seems to be screwed completely now, no sound after install + reboot.
