I believe he's looking for a file explorer to browse his files. Like ES or Root Browser.
Just download any stock ROM, unzip it...look in system > app > and copy the apk onto your phone

Ahh I gotcha, he should have just said that, here you go, lol!

Did you change it to r/w? You might still be on r/o and make sure you set ownership to root.

Noob talk please lol
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium

Use root explorer to copy and paste in system/app folder. Get root explorer from play store.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium

Go to Play Store. Search 'Solid File Explorer'. Install.

I was able to move it to system apps but it isn't there. Do I enjoy after?

Google Play Music Offline Download Question

Hey all,
So I've read in the forums and found where google music puts music if you choose to put pull songs to your phone from Google Music.. (/com.google.android.music/cache/music/)
However ever since the Jelly Bean update I can't seem to locate any of my actual songs on my phone. Did the location change
When I use a file browser to /com.google.android.music/cache/music/ nothing is there
any ideas?
Anybody?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
It's in /data/data/com.google.android.music/cache now. This is going to be interesting, as now I don't know if DoubleTwist will be able to pick up songs that have been made available offline. I know it worked when the music was being cached to the sdcard in ICS.
Thanks for responding..I went to /data and there wasn't any files or folders there.. can you tell me again where it stores it for jelly beam?

I think you need root to actually see the contents of /data
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Wow that sucks. With ics you didn't need root to see the files

Sorry I forgot to mention that the /data partition is not accessible to unrooted devices.

This is the official Facebook home application i uploaded to drop box for you guys. Enjoy!
This is how to get it working:
Go into build.prop and edit the following.
ro.build.product = SGH-T999
ro.product.device = SGH-T999
ro.product.model = SGH-T999
ro.product.name = SGH-T999

----------------------------------------------
Phone: Galaxy s2 t989
Rom: PACman 21.0.1
Kernel: PAC
----------------------------------------------
It advises that device is not supported (which is accurate). I'm sure there's a way around that though...like modifying some things.
Any way we can get this to work on our phones
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Couldn't we update our build props to say t999?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
If you modify your build.prop to reflect:
....model: SPH-L900
....Brand:Samsung
it will work on a reboot. Confirmed on my T-989 but I'm not too fond of it so I got rid of it.

Lol i was correct

I'm using stock ROM not rooted ics 4.0.4
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Tried the one linked that doesn't require root or build prop mod. Worked no problem on latest WH AOKP. Didn't like it uninstalled but here are some screen shots for those curious.
Other than the lock screen, which you can swipe through your timeline, it's just the regular FB apps. Oh and it has a scrollable app drawer. Admittedly I didn't even play with 15 minutes so there may be more settings.

Has anybody made an inverted play store for our e980? I have tried several apks and flashable zips, but none work.

Try that...but make sure to push to system/app and restart.
You will have to change the stock Phonesky.apk to Phonesky.bak and also the Phonesky.odex to Phoneskyodex.bak , this will not work unless you do those processes.
Just a heads up, when the play store updates, it will probably change back in colors.
Later
