Explain Few Terminologies...

What are
- Kernels
- Raido Version
- Recovery
How to change kernels? Is it feasible to change kernels?
I've seen that for few roms it's been mentioned, "Latest radio version" needed. How to get latest version?
Recovery - it's clockwork mod with me. I've seen posts people saying they're havibg some different recovery. Advantages or disadvantages?
I flash roms every now and then but sometimes these terminologies confuse me a lot.

Nah, if you've got 'questions' people like it better if you post it in the Q&A. These people above have been pretty kind in their responses...we'd all benefit from someone explaining things personally to us, but unfortunately this isn't the place for that. That's why I use the villainrom irc for all my help with miui roms. Honestly, i love those villain guys. Lol.

Undervolting really doesn't make that significance to your battery. Your talking tops 1% an hour anything more than that and you are sacrificing stability and usability.
Benchmarks just don't make sense to me, all phones are ****ing fast these days as long as it does everything it is supposed to do with out lag then who cares? Again, sacrificing battery and stability for a number.
Users of XDA should make more of an effort to come here and learn instead of just being end users. Even if all you learn and contribute is the simple use of 7zip or how to change some colors. Teachers and students > Producers and consumers.
I thought about deleting this and not posting but I like the idea of this thread.

@OP, you've made both this thread and the same thread in the S2 Skyrocket general forum and after receiving requests in both threads, the users haven't received what they asked for.
Now, I appreciate that it could be because you don't have the time, but to me it just seems like you don't actually plan on making what you said you could.

I use my iPad as much as my GS3 if not more... I need both..

I got an ipad2 after having used my Android phones since the G1. I found the iPad2 almost unusable. Not only that, but I am not buying apps that I've already bought. Looking forward to being able to buy a Nexus7 or KFHD to replace it.

Well if sharing a idea to have the devs put there talents together and work together to build the ultimate rom,or asking if a dev could do something i like in a rom in place that says is a android community then i will no longer come to this site.

You didn't ask for anything lol you just want everyone to build a ROM and there's not even source to build a legitimate ROM based on jb. Ibtl

Offer to assist, come up with a base, (like _dan, crawrj, mattix..etc), offer what should/shouldn't be included..
Instead of just saying "I'd love to see xyz"; come up with a plan, detailed, and contribute.

So here's the thing. Every project has a certain number off developers that it can support and be able to move forward.
If every dev on here decided to make The One ROM, d probably never get off the ground, since there would be no agreement about what made a perfect ROM.
Instead, what we have is many devs working alone or in groups making their version of the perfect ROM.
However, none of these devs works on a vacuum. Almost everyone is using ideas, off not outright chunks of code from other devs, but reconciling it in novel ways.
The result its lots of choice for you to pick 'the perfect ROM for YOUR phone'.
