New to Android - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hello guy just got my note 2 been on IOS a long time anyone know of a good place to get apps games and books
Thanks

Must be new to xda also. Because you don't post in the development threads unless you have developed something to share.
And apps are in the play store...

Welcome to XDA... and please make yourself familiar about how things work here first. Maybe start by reading up on the forum rules - you'll find a link in my signature.
Posting a question to the development boards is a No Go on various levels. Always post your thread to the correct section.
Apps, Games and Books can be downloaded through the official Google Play Store, in case you were asking about other places which isn't allowed as we do not condone illegal activities.

Oh thanks

Alternatively, you can use your amazon account to buy apps. Here's the download link for the app:
https://www.amazon.com/app-email
Make sure to enable third-party stores: Go to Settings -> Security -> check "unknown sources"
Install and register with your amazon account.
A more options are to use BrainApp or Tablified Market HD

See only purchased apps?

I have to scroll through the 'All' tab now to find them? I got like 20 lol. I just noticed this because I'm on a new et4g and no longer have backups.
You can visit the Play Store on your PC, and there's a tab for your apps. It'll list all the apps you've purchased (free & paid).

What about on my phone? I don't really feel like going on my PC just to see apps I know I've purchased. It is a hassle to skip throughout free apps I know I've bough.
You can push the apps to your phone from your PC. Make sure your phone shows in menus by visiting your Google Play Store settings
New version of play store has this, just swipe in the my apps screen on your phone and it lists any app you have installed on your account.

Sorry, I had to revive this. OP only wants to see his purchased apps. Not all hundred thousand that he has ever downloaded. Google Market, before Play, only showed purchased apps. And it was perfect. Now, every app I have ever installed is on that damn list. Its stupid. I only want to see the apps I care about: the ones I spent money on.

Yeah but what if your phone died and you had no backups to transfer to another phone? You really want to try to remember all of them? However, filtering options would be nice.

I'll post the answer for anyone that happens to be looking for a solution (as I was). It appears that the consensus is to uninstall market updates (settings > applications > play store) so you have an older version. With an older version, I believe you can see them at the bottom of "my apps." Unfortunately, the market will likely update itself again so it's something you can do anytime you want to see your purchased apps. Some have been successful in preventing auto-update; others, not so much.
The other option is to review your transaction history in Google Wallet.
Do you know which play store version was the last to show bought apps?

Someone modified a play store app to show your paid yet not installed apps. Search xda for play store legacy or something. If not I can post the apk when I get a chance. I found it on xda though so I know it's here somewhere.

Purchase an app on Google Play without downloading it?

Hi guys,
I was wondering if there is a way to buy an app from Google Play but not download it yet?
The reason is I would like to take advantage of the $0.25c deal for The Dark Knight Rises on Google Play but I am not around wifi yet and don't have 1.8gb free on my SD.
So I would like to purchase the app but install it later, any ideas?
Thank you in advance
Its easy
Just Buy the App and as soon as the Download start, stop it.
So you Buy the App but not Downlad them.
duh! now I feel stupid lol
Thanks mate!!

The quoted portion of fatjivi's post, which you are likely referring to, was edited out. The quote contained the original illegal post.
Anyway, didn't the Play Store app used to have an option to only DL files over a certain threshold while connected to WiFi? I only see the option to restrict *all* downloads to WiFi.

Ah ok then, cool.
I'm not sure of that setting but thank's for the heads up, I'll check it out
I got around it by just buying the app and clicking download but canceling the download straight away.

Installed Apps update not showing up in market

Hello everyone I've downloaded some apps from different sources which are paid apps in market. I know its illegal but thats not the point here. The apps I've downloaded are not showing up in my apps but when I search for that app in the play store its there saying installed. And the most weird thing is that even if the app has been updated in the play store no notification is given that the app has an update.
I'm new to galaxy nexus 4.1.2..
I've used android on 2.3.3. Earlier these apps if downloaded from other sources have an update they used to come up in market but now they dont come.
Does anyone has any explanation about this?
Plz help

Because the Play Store knows you didn't purchase those apps. Apps you purchase are tied to your Google account. If you try to update an app that is a paid app but you didn't purchase it through Google, it won't update.
Are you seriously expecting the Play Store to do you any favors to help you steal apps and have them work properly?
How about you don't steal apps, jackass. IB4L.

no i dont expect that... its just that earlier play store used to show that there is an update available for an app whether its paid or not.. but now it does not..
very simple explanation, dont steal apps and then dont post that you had stolen some apps but the market wont update them for you. all you are doing is asking people to pick on you here. xda isnt for helping with stolen apps. support your developers instead of stealing food out of their mouths. btw, the market is working just how its supposed to.

How stupid are you? You steal from other members of the community and then straight-faced ask them for help ripping them off ? Asshats like you deserve nothing less than to have your phone shoved sideways up your posterior... after your head is pulled out of it. FOAD.

You're not allowed to post about pirated software here. If you want better updates more quickly you should actually BUY the apps so the devs can afford to bring them.

Working Adblocker (ROOT ONLY)

As we all know Google have removed all the adblocking apps from Google Play. Here is something which will be of help
For ROM Toolbox Pro Users
A secret place for the Ad Blocker you would probably get to it by going into ROM Toolbox -> open the Sliding Menu (swipe right to left) -> and long clicking "DNS Changer"
For Everyone
Here is the standalone version that you can download and install from their server: http://jrummy16.com/jrummy/ad-blocker/Ad-Blocker-JRummy-Apps.apk

Excellent! Now, if only we could have an app, that allowed the user to download all the paid apps from Google Play totally free of charge, that would be nice.
Actually we should have an app that made the developers pay the users to use the apps, that they work so hard to develop.

[Q] Google play site nonsense

Hello xda forum members,
I have some questions about google play site and app.
1. How to get old google play site style? (is there any userscripts?)
2. How to see app comments in site and app from all the world? Not just from my country.
3. How do you fell about the google play app store? I feel that new style of the site is a big mistake
