Every time i try and update an app it gives me this message
Even though I still have like 22 gb or storage left
Is there any way of getting around this error
I tried searching everyone says to delete the odex file or something like that I deleted what I thought was it but still nothing
Same Problem
I'm running 4.3 build 2.2 slim rom now. I receive the same "insufficient storage" error wgile updating certain apps such as yahoo mail, dolphin browser, twitter, and agoda. The rest of the apps update without any problems, though... I cannot see any reason why this is happening when I still have a couple of gigs in free space...
Could the settings in "android tuner" app have anything to do with this? As far as I recall, this problem with the updates started after I installed a few apps- android tuner being the most pervasive among them...
I hope someone who has encountered this same problem has found a solution other than re formatting and re flashing everything...

Trying wiping cache
Related
I hope someone has found a solution as NO ONE from GOOGLE seems to respond when I sent a support request.. I have not been able to download ANYTHING from the NEW market APP. I tried deleting the android_Secure, looking for the temp file people talk about, deleting cache and data etc. I have since FLASHED the OLD MARKET back. NOW, some APPS will install and SOME updates to apps will install. OTHER APPS and OTHER UPDATES will not install with the "install unsuccessful" message and OTHER apps will try to update but the phone will restart.
I see this listed all over on different forums and I am hoping someone has found a solution. It appears it is a wide spread issue. last night I was able to download a program from the market called FULLHDMI but today I tried to download SPRINT TOTAL PROTECTION APP and it downloads but doesnt install. Then I tried to update FULLHDMI and that worked but another app update didnt and finally a third app update rebooted the phone.
What is going on and how to resolve?? There has to be some kind of fix.
Thanks ....
Dang... you are still having issues? I wish I could help you more man. I have told you all I know to do That sucks!
My GN is absolutely stock, with the latest OTA update to 4.0.2. It is a GSM version, running on UK orange.
Recently whenever I try to download an app updates I have been getting "insufficient space available".
Looking in the storage, and apps section. I have ~ 8GB space remaining on the device. I have rebooted several times, and still the error occurs with apps larger than 1MB it seems (latest casualties are Facebook and Shazam).
Anyone have any ideas, or experiencing similar issues?
Yup. I just clear the cache in a bunch of my apps. Facebook is the worst.
Are you still experiencing this? I am getting the same message when I try to update any apps from the market. I have approximately 28GB free (just got the phone yesterday). I've tried wiping the dalvik cache and rebooting but that hasn't resolved my problems.
Solved

I had the same problem a couple of times. The easiest way to solve it is to run Lucky Patcher and you'll see a toast notification that unused data/odex has been removed. That should solve the problem.
Hit 'Thanks' if it helped. Cheers!
I've been using BeanStalk for a while now and while it has a few small bugs I love having it on my Note II. I got the update notice through GooManager and installed the new version this morning. I wiped the cache through CW Recovery and flashed. Everything seems to be working fine but I keep getting this error: "Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped." It happens quite frequently when I'm just using the device but also when I try and manage the sounds (like ringtones). When it does happen, it will pop up the message 5-6 times before it leaves me alone. Any advice?

I had an issue where I would get the same android.process.media message whenever I tried to run the Photos app. Also Google+ would keep stopping as well. The solution I found is to go to Settings>Storage and unmount and then remount the SD Card. Since I did that I have not had a single android.process.media error. Worth a try I would think.
The thread where I found the solution is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2638536
I hope this helps,
Cheers!
If remounting didn't help you may want to factory reset. 99% of fc will be solved by reset to defaults. Make a backup of apps with Helium first if you like.
Looks like the remount fixed the issue. Thanks!

Very glad to hear that it worked for you; I certainly was very relieved that doing that fixed my problem.

So last night I flashed dottat's RUU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...nt/ruu-vzw-kitkat4-4-3-sense-6-s-off-t2867643) to update my phone to 4.4.3 stock. Usually when I run the stock rom, I try to get rid of all the verizon bloat garbage using root app delete and root browser. Maybe this time I got a little overzealous, because I most recently deleted two system apps: verizon location app, and the verizon cloud sync app. Before I did this, everything seemed to run fine. But after getting rid of those two, everything went haywire. Every few seconds my phone app would crash and it would give me the message that "unfortunately, com.android.phone has crashed"and the display kept flickering on and off. Also, I keep getting a poppup for an app called Phone: HBPCG Current Country" telling me I have not input my country, and asks me to select one from a blank list. After trying a few things, I went into TWRP to wipe the cache and dalvik. Fortunately, that seems to have cleared up the com.phone process from crashing every 10 seconds or so. But I still keep getting asked to select a country from "HBPCG Current Country". Has anybody experienced this or does anybody know how to stop it, maybe by deleting another service? I can't remember ever seeing a "verizon location reporting" app in 4.4.2 so I figured it was more garbage that verizon added to the ROM as needless bloat, and didn't think it would affect other phone services.
Thanks for any help on this, it's really irritating me. If I can't get it resolved I figure I might have the run the RUU again.
I should probably also mention that after wiping the caches, I got the "android is upgrading" bit when I rebooted and it said it was optimizing 67 apps. I'm not sure what that was for since I didn't flash any updates or anything, but I figure maybe recaching some system info since I ripped out so much system bloatware?
Now that santod released stock 4.4.3 debloated you should just flash that ROM instead. Sounds like less of a headache to just completely wipe and go from there.

Verizon Location WAS in fact in 4.4.2, and many services of the phone depend on it and won't function without it…
Ever since I updated to lollipop, I've been unable to take screenshots or screen write. I keep getting the error "Can't take screenshot due to limited storage or it isn't allowed by the app or your organization". I've checked my security and app administrator stuff. I've frozen a couple things, restored, rebooted, unfrozen, etc etc etc. Anyone have any idea what's causing this or how to fix it? I used image clip to snag the attachment. Thanks in advance!
Try running foldermount from market if you are rooted.
