I've updated my Kindle Fire to CM10 and it was quite smooth until I installed some apps from Play Store. Suddenly, I lost the sound on both speaker and earphone. Is this root issue or am I missing some thing ?
No it`s just you I guess I would be looking to uninstall what you installed from the play store. Look for apps that are specific to sound just a guess.
My ASOP 10-10 Kindle Fire was doing just fine, then just yesterday, my notification sounds starting being off.
Then all my audio started being off.
I tried to then use the Unofficial CM10 mod, but that didn't work, so I went back to the 10-10 build from Hashcode and after a clean install, the speakers are still not working right.
If anyone can come up with a reason for this, that would be great!
Get a stable rom. I am using AlienDroid 21.11.12 and it hasn't done anything bad on me. try twa_prv's roms or hashcodes latest. good luck.

I think the most stable third-party ROM is CM11 and it has been offical supported.
I am running the latest Cynogenmod Nightly on my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 Everything is running great except for the game 'The Walking Dead.' As soon as this game starts, there is a horrible buzzing sound from the speakers, which continues the whole time the game is running (which otherwise appears to run normally).
Unfortunately, I never installed this game on this tablet before installing Cynogenmod, so I am not sure if this is a problem with the tablet, or with Cynogenmod, and was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same issue...

As much as I enjoy CM you give up so much to run it (split screen for instance).
Yes I have this problem have you figured out how to fix
I had the same problem. I had Cynogenmod installed and was enjoying it (despite the lack of multiwindow) until I tried to play Season 2 of The Walking Dead. Instead of the normal sounds all I got was buzzzzzzzzzzzz. I tried reinstalling a few times and even a new nightly of CM but nothing helped. Finally I just decided to go with another ROM altogether. I went with CleanRom for the 8.4 and haven't had any problems with the game at all.
One note, though since this is a gaming topic, when I was using CM, the game Deus Ex worked fine, now on CleanRom it doesn't. But since it still works on my Note 2 I'm going to continue running CleanRom on my 8.4.
Hi. I tried posting on another site but no one seemed to be experiencing the same issue. I recently switched from SPMC to 13.2. After just few days navigation became very slow but video played fine. It would keep getting slower despite clearing cache then it just wouldn't start--immediate crash.
I switched back to SPMC and still menu was slow, video perfect. But today it just wouldn't launch. After several reboots and clear cache from fire os menu I got it to work. It played a video with no problems, however, I know based on how navigation sticks its going to crash again. Problem is I can't force a crash. It only crashes on startup, making debugging impossible I think.
I'm basically using just genesis and a few program add-ons all from add-on installer. I've used aeon nox and ccm skins. They both do the same thing.
I'm thinking fresh start but there's little reason to think I won't end up back here.
The only other relevant piece of info (maybe) is I recently installed clockwork mod and installed rbox latest firmware. Then I updated the remote from there. It may have nothing to do with anything but without a log I don't know how else to explain it. Anyone else having similar problems? Any and all advice is welcomed. Thanks.
I just installed the new release of spmc 15 isengard and it is running very inconsistent. It often freezes on the homescreen and if I jump to the amazon home screen and then try to go back sometimes it will give me a blank grey screen and require either a force stop or a restart. Has anyone else tried this or even the standard version of kodi isengard as I think they are pretty close to the same thing at this point.
I've been running standard Kodi 15.0 with PlexBMC in the Amber skin for a week or so, so far no issues.

Did you install it and just do a fresh install or did you restore your previous setup? I think the problem happens when I restore my setup after a few freezes and restarts and everything is fully updated it seems to stop. It still gives me an issue launching the sacrificial app with llama however.
It was a fresh install, not a restore.
Yup, the oem version of Isengard is laggy on the box and stick...I had a flawless Kodi setup before I upgraded...
Hey all -
I still use my 1st gen Kindle Fire primarily for reading books with the Kindle App, and also a bit of web browsing.
I'm running the last available nightly otterx build of CyanogenMod 11 (from 2015-11-08), and despite turning off all animations and experiments in turning up the clock speed of the CPU, it's very slow and apps crash often and the system often reboots. Normally with the Kindle app, I need to launch it a few times before it actually works properly. (The first few times it usually stops responding and closes.)
All of this is to ask: would I be better off going back to the stock Kindle Fire OS if I'm going to use it mostly for reading? Or would perhaps a different ROM help? Thanks!
