Basically I can't download anything from the Play Store. I keep getting the error as shown on the screenshot I attached. I'm pretty sure this happened because I downloaded an unofficial play store app apk. This is what I have done so far to try to fix it:
uninstall the above mentioned apk.
clear play store data and cache.
removed my Google account from phone.
none of these steps have helped. .. Please help guys!
All the steps I outline above plus going into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik did the trick.
thanks for all the feedback though!
Was getting that also on a stock unrooted Note II

i've cleared cache and data, but every time i go into the market and select and app/book/movie page, the market app crashes.
anyone else having this issue? i am running stock rom with nothing really special installed.
the crash reporter says the Exception class name is java.lang.NullPointerException.. not sure if that helps. i've reported the issue, but i'm not sure if this is something that i need to fix on my end.
Problem Solved: selecting "unintall updates" fixed the issue. i didn't go to that option initially because i was scared to go back to some primitive version of the market.
Same issue here after getting upgraded to 4.0.2 OTA this weekend on Rogers network.

Hi,
yesterday I bought Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 3G + Wi-Fi and it worked for now. Today Play Store suddenly has crash and it won't work.
When it is launched it close with error "application google play store stopped unexpectedly". I tired to reinstall it, clean cache, data, reboot Tab and nothing. I updated Google Play services too.
How to fix it?
Have you try removing your Gmail account . Reset it and then when boot up dont sign in to nothing just just get it up and running then go to playstore and try sign in from . In fact I had some customer's come in my store with same problem that one of the ways I fix it. Hope it helps

Hello everyone, I recently installed miui 5 ROM on my s2 but ever since I did that,I haven't been able to download anything from play store, what ever I try to download just keeps loading the download never actually starts...
It definitely isn't a network problem from my ISP cuz I have another device which I use with exactly same sim and I don't have problems, so its peculiar with my s2...
So please is this normal bug in miui or what?
Check miui settings... I think you need to give Play Store permission to download. I think. Been awhile, I could be thinking of something else completely.

I bought a used FTV v 1. It has xbmc installed and seems to work ok. But I get low storage msg a lot. I have uninstalled all apps I can find but no luck. It appears to me to be FTV version 5.1.1.40 514006420.It says there is an update ready to install but when it reboots it goes to what looks like an old version of Clockwork mod. At this point I select reboot and it returns to the FTV front page.
My guess is the previous owner installed Clockworkmod, SU, and other apps and then deleted them.
I Googled and found tests that say it is rooted but partially or bootloader is locked.
There are too many pages of ideas to sort out which is correct. How do I get rid of all these apps and reset FTV to unrooted?
do not let it update. you will lose your root! you need to block updates before you do anything!

have you tried clearing the cache for xbmc?

Hi, I just received my new Samsung Galaxy s20+ 512GB (Exynos Version) and find that it reboots constantly.
I was able to finish the initial configuration of the phone by disabling the WIFI .
But as soon as I activate the WIFI, the Play Store runs and the phone reboots.
I was able to update the phone software using the Windows Smart Switch application, but it doesn't solve the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
must be some app - do a clean reset

oh and forgot to mention - this can happen if you're copying files, apps and settings from previous phone - sometimes things get copied over the wrong way
