[Q] Music to mono bluetooth head piece. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi All, loving my note 2. I used to be able to stream audio using Super BT Mono Froyo Free using my old Motorola Triumph phone, but that app now crashes when I try to run it. I'm assuming because it doesn't work with Andriod 4.1. Any other options out there for using a single ear piece bluetooth to listen to music, or more specifically podcasts on the note 2?
Thanks!
-Russ

Sorry, found my own answer. BTmono works great, and works with note 2 for anyone wondering. Working with my old Motorola H715.

When I had this sound routing problem with my Droid X I used "Sound Route Switcher Bluetooth" app by omercade. I tried this app with Galaxy Note 2 with no problems. But right now, knock on wood, I don't have any sound routing problems with my Galaxy Note 2, including music to my mono Bluetooth. My Bluetooth device is Plantronics Voyager PRO HD. I am using Plantronics MyHeadset app as well, but I don't believe that you will need that app.
What gets me worried is that I have been reading throughout the Galaxy Note 2 forums that people having sound routing issues within weeks after getting their Galaxy Note 2. This could be just a few flawed devices within their large manufacturing production. But I do wonder.

Guys, I'm not really sure I'm reading the question correctly, but if I am, I want you to know there is an option built right in to TouchWiz for music listeners using mono bluetooth. It's enough to make me stick with Samsung FOREVER. Check the accessibility options, hearing. No more stupid work around, finally!

I have had no problems with A2DP on both my Note 1 and Note 2.
Having you checked that "Media Audio" is selecting in the pairing options on the Nite for your head unit?

[Q] Audio issues

HI all, just received my Note 2 today (thanks Amazon!!) but I'm having some issues with audio quality. I use Bluetooth to connect my phone to my car's head unit and stream via google music. Previously on my Evo 3d I was using an EQ app and let's just say that the 10" sub and 500w mono amp in my car made things shake and rumble rather well.
Now however with the Note 2, using the same setup I have almost no bass. I've tried a few EQ apps and all have the same issue. They will effect the mids and highs (and other sounds) but I can't get anything to make the bass pop really hard.
Any suggestions?

I know what you mean, I had a epic touch and could tune my car stereo via dsp manager. Now can't get dsp manager to even work. I did buy an eq app off the market and it works ok, not as good as dsp manager.

Bluetooth in car

I haven't seen anyone post anything about bluetooth issues but I've been having one so annoying, everything was fine until I installed a a2dp app so that whenever I got in my car Pandora started. It started having this issue where about every minute it would disconnect and then 30 seconds later connect again. It will do this over and over and over again. So I un installed the app and still the problem persists, I made the phone forget the car and then sync again but nope. The only way to actually get it to stay connected is when I'm in the car having the issue to restart the phone and then it works until I turn off the car. When this issue is going on I get the bluetooth share has stopped or whatever, I Googled that but the methods I saw didn't work for me. Things like deleting the cache and data for bluetooth share. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Your cars bluetooth probably isn't compatible with the note 3 ... bluetooth isn't as compatible as people think

I've been meaning to start a ***** thread about Bluetooth and the fact that Samsung is still putting out devices with low bitpool settings.
Music sounds terrible through my Bluetooth. I have no idea why.ibalways end up running some kind of cyanogenmod because of how ****ty music sounds over Bluetooth. It's really frustrating...

You are not searching enough as I posted about Bluetooth just about 6 hours ago. If it is any consolation, my music players pauses too somewhat erratically sometimes. I need to press the pause button to get it to play again.
Try flashing the newest saber kernel, I heard it's been helping some with Bluetooth issues, it doesn't help with Pandora avrcp though, Pandora will still crash bluetooth if your Pandora is modded avrcp.
i have an issue with bluetooth and google maps navigation. Seems like the instructions are not always read aloud over the speakers. The music will pause and there will be a silence but no vocal instructions. Sometimes it will pause playing music and I will only vocally get the end of the driving instruction. I'm using power amp for playing music but I noticed it is exactly the same using other players. I confirmed this on 3 att note 3's and 1 tmobile note 3. Any one else?
I have my Note 3 connected to my iO Play and it connects fine. The audio is also good without the problems described from the OP.
I don't use Pandora but I have used YouTube, Play Music, Digitally Imported or internal music and it has never disconnected.
When you disconnected the bluetooth, do you do it on the phone end or your bluetooth end? Try removing the pair on your bluetooth end.
Mine connects fine to my stereo. Music, YouTube, everything. Maybe it's your stereo.

I don't know how to unpair off car, it's a 2013 subaru brz. But it did work fine at one point when I first got it. ........
Music sounds great through BT and my Pioneer stereo.
1 gripe is it doesn't access my phone book. I think Pioneer has a BT SW upgrade for stereo that may help.
I use IheartRadio all the time sounds better than HD Radio IMHO.
Depends on the car. Check your dealer for software update to the Bluetooth in car. Just be prepared to pay for a hour labor charge if ur car is out of warranty.

Hate to say it but it may be the stereo in the car. I'm having the same issues in my BRZ as well. It worked fine for a few days but now it's constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. I have the stock radio still. My S3 worked flawlessly.
Looks like I may have an excuse to spring for that new head unit I was looking at.
Listen mates, Galaxy S4 BT was perfect did all on my car, Note 3 BT does audio only. What gives?

It works if I restart but not always and it's a hassle. We shouldn't have to spend a couple hundred on a unit to fix this though.........

Anybody have bluetooth experience with Ford Sync. I have a 2010 Fusion, my Galaxy Nexus works great with it, but I'm eyeing a Note 3. BT is an important feature for me, so this is critical.
Mine works great in my Toyota Tundra with the factory Jul stereo. I select Bluetooth for audio. It starts playing the last song that was on from the Google Music app. When I have Wade or Google Maps Nav on, it plays that audio over the music. Can also play YouTube or any other audio from the phone through Bluetooth.

I AGREE WITH YOU borrow someone elses phone or flash a different rom and see if results change. it could be the phone acting up
I figured out a little something!!!!
I unpaired the phone right, then when the car asks for map and contacts and all that I put decline or no, whatever it is and now it doesn't disconnect!!!!

Music controls over blue tooth to car stereos?

Since the Android 5.x update on my Note 3 and now the Note 7 Samsung did something to jack up the blue tooth stereo controls (so If I use apps like Media Monkey or Power Amp) that when connected to the car stereo, I cannot use the car stereo to forward, go back, etc through the songs in the play list.
Is there a fix for this, that probably is my biggest issue, I don't want to have to pick up the phone every time I want to change songs over blue tooth. Gotta keep eyes on the road......
I'm not sure how you're connecting. I have an Infiniti and I don't seem to be suffering this issue. It's compatible whether I do this through the phone or through my car's controls.
Works fine for me too. Using an aftermarket kenwood 419 head unit

I am using a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X998. When the Note 3 came out with Android 4.x and connected to the head unit over bluetooth the album, song title, artist, etc call came over from the mp3 or flac files on the phone and I could use the kenwood back and forward buttons to move through the music on the phone. It stopped working when Android 5.x was pushed out to the phone. I talked to Kenwood about it and they said that they were not aware (but they are now they are aware of the fact that Samsung did something), like made their own new commands to send the information over blue tooth that were not part of the stock android os and that is why compatibility was lost.
I just want my text and controls back.

On my 2013 Kia optima w/ navi I do not get media audio so only BT that works is the phone. It will show the first song sometimes on pandora but never will update after that. All audio always comes from phone. I can change songs from the stereo but that's it. Totally useless. Works fine in my other cars and my BT radio in my garage so it's a problem w/ my Kia but WTF?? My note 3 and a note 5 work just fine. Very disappointing.
Dave
I have a Pioneer AVH-P2400BT head unit, which worked fine with my Nexus 6p, GS5, Sony Z3....but only receives audio from my Note 7, no Music Info or Control over next/previous song.
It kind of sucks, but I'm loving the phone...

Note 3, edge and this N7 have all played nicely with the car, admittedly it's pretty basic OEM BT integration. Vehicle can control the phone no worries, though.
The only time I have this problem is when my smartwatch tries to take over the controls.

Bluetooth audio quality question

Hello. I change phones alot and have noticed that some phones(all android) have better bluetooth playback than others.
I had a oneplus 7 pro before this phone and the bluetooth quality to my truck was great and had no issues but with this phone the highs sounds scratchy or like if the speaker is bad. But if i connect it with a wire connection it sounds great. Everything with the 2 phones is the same. On both i was using the galaxy watch and pretty much the same apps. On a previous phone the note 8 i had the same issue but it was a different car. Seems like its the way samsung handles bluetooth.
Has anyone had this issue? If so was there a fix?
Thanks

What do you mean?
The only two things I think about is the codec used that may be different across devices, and the Bluetooth settings that sync the phones volume with the headset (the differences are noticeable).
Since no DAC is used in Bluetooth, I don't think it can comes from them, for a same headset.
On Samsung phones you should run the adapt sound process. Try this.
I tried with the sync volume off too and no improvement.
I looked for the adapt sound and my phone doesn't have that setting. Or is it something different?
It's in Sounds and Vibration 》 Advanced Sound settings 》Sound Quality and effects 》 Adapt sound
You have to do this in a quiet place and ensure to answer honestly. If you can't hear the beeping press no.
After doing this the sound quality is night and day difference.
Ok found it. Ill play with it a bit. Thanks
I've had issues sometimes with audio being piped through the "Calls" Bluetooth channel versus the "Audio" channel so worth checking as the quality is obviously night and day.
I also like enabling Dolby Atmos on my Note 10+ for music so worth playing with too. Additionally, I recently found Samsung's Sound Assistant app which let's you customize a bunch of sound settings so worth checking out as well:

Easiest is probably just uncheck calls in your phones BT settings for your truck (and make sure audio is enabled). If the sound is still not great then this isn't the issue.
Sorry to respond to an old thread, but I was wondering if any of this fixed the OP's problem. I followed all the recommendations here and on other threads but have not been able to solve my recent Bluetooth audio problem. The sound has been terrible lately.
Same issue here on my s10+. When playing any audio in my car via BT i hear the distortion/hissing noise especially when the song has a higher treble frequency.
I have just about tried all fixes i could find on Google, and no luck.
When connecting to my ear buds (Jabra Elite 65t) it disappears and checked in developer mode that it supports to AAC for BT Codecs.
But when connecting to the car it reverts to SBC.
The issue clearly lies on Samsungs side, as my brother has a Huawei p30 Pro, also has bluetooth 5 and plays amazingly well in all aspects (Bass-Mids-Treble).
I know I'm posting this almost a year later, but i am desperately looking for a fix.
SN. I have recently updated my phone to Android 10, despite all the complaints to Samsung from many users... Sadly this issue has not being fixed on my side.
From what i see online, people have given up on Samsung and opted for Rooting their Samsungs and installing Viper4Andriod.
Has any one done this and can confirm that it fixed the issue?
