[Q] Phone stuck in boot loop please help! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

I was trying to flash Dagr8's ROM and I wiped my data in TWRP and my phone just boot loops now. I can get into recovery and wipe/flash to my heart's content, but the result is always the same. The phone just boot loops between the samsung logos. Is there anything I can do through ODIN or anything else to fix this?

You need to flash a bootchain. Preferably a custom bootchain.

I too am having this problem on my t-mobile note 2, tried flashing different roms, kernels, wiping everything, flashing with odin, any advice would help. I dont know anything about boot chains, been a flash a holic for many years, and normally if I have a boot loop problem, I just flash a different rom, but no luck with this one.

Try removing the battery, then go into recovery.

Stuck in CWM I need help!

So last night I was running Starburst Rom and decided that I wanted to theme it, so I downloaded the theme I liked for it, flash it in recover, but when I reboot the system it kept boot looping. So I figured that I needed to format it, so I went back into recovery and used Caulkins Format All zip, flashed it, then flashed the theme again. OUCH this time my phone would just show the yellow triangle and Samsung logo ( start up page). I can still go back to recovery but all my other Roms are gone so I cant even restore my phone or anything! What can I do? I used Heimdall to root, can I go back and re root again? Would I still get the stock rom? HELP
Download a rom onto an sd card and flash it from recovery. Format all wipes your entire system, you use format all to have a clean slate before you flash a new rom. You have no os now.
Edit: You could also flash the stock .tar they just put up in the development section, just make sure you read the instructions first or you could hardbrick.

You don't. You download it to a pc or mac and then transfer it to a micro sd card and then put the card in the phone and flash the Rom from recovery.

I have a computer, and I can dowload a rom into it, no problem, my issue is that I cant get this on my SD card due to me not being able to mount the phone in recovery. I tried and it wont. So my solution would be to go to a friends house that has an Android, download a ROM into their phone with my SD card then go back to my phone and flash it.
Do you still have a custom recovery or just the Samsung recovery....sorry i should've asked sooner.

The link i posted is stock. After thats done you can reroot and go from there. Make sure you uncheck the boxes in the instructions or you'll brick. If those options aren't shown then don't flash it. I don't know macs very well.

[Q] BRICKED?!?!?!

So i saw that jelly bean 4.2.1 came out so i wanted to give it a try. I flashed it and everything was gone, i reflashed back to 4.1.x. both are aokp. After that i read about the sdcard0/0 thing and i copied my cwm files from /0 to sdcard. I tried to recover it back to it was before i upgraded to 4.2.1 but something went wrong. it said error while restoring /system or something like that. I think what i did wrong was that i forgot to wipe everything before recovering. So now my S3 is stuck at the pink unicorn boot... Im unable to go to recover mode, download mode is my only option. HELP PLZZZ

-Get on a PC
-Run Odin
-Put your phone in download mode
-Plug in your phone so Odin sees it
-Grab a rooted stock ROM from the dev section
-Put the .tar file in the PDA section of Odin
-Click start the Odin processes
-Success back to stock!!
And begin flashing all over again
I might add if you don't understand advanced setting it think you might mess something up... Stick to just regular flashing

You can't flash Odin files thru recovery
You really know what you're doing right? Because it kind of sounds like you don't (no offence)
Odin a stock ROM
After you do try to boot up to the Samsung e3 recovery
Wipe your phone and reboot it
Give it time... Stick roms can take up to 10minutes to completely boot up..

Stuck on black Galaxy note 2 screen

Someone please help me. I tried to flash the unroot back to stock through twrp as ma5 wasn't working all that well for me and i wanted to start from scratch unrooted and get the sprint ova for the ma7.
So i flashed the file and it said that it was successful. It even went to the special recovery like it was supposed to before rebooting. Now we get to the problem. The phone wont reboot. It just stays on the first black galaxy note 2 screen. Is there anything i can do to fix this? Someone please help me.

I tried both of those already. It acts like everything flashes ok but then when it reboots, it stays on the black note 2 screen
You can try flashing twrp through odin and make sure auto reboot is not checked
Then reboot into recovery and flash a rom.
Unless you can reboot into recivery, cause if you can then this is pointless.

N7100 does not boot past start up screen

Hi All,
Couple days ago I tried to flash my note2 with mobile odin back to stock rom but something went wrong and since I have not been able to get past the welcome screen *Samsung Galaxy Note 2*. I can get into a recovery screen but I am unable to choose a new rom to flash with.
I ve tried to flash it with odin 3.07 and via kies but no joy.
At this stage I am quite desperate to get this resolved. Can anyone help me?

True but i had to use Odin and every guideline said the filed had to color yellow while for me it stayed blue but i figured heck at the moment it's just a paperweight so I don't have a lot to loose.
Now Rooting it again and placing my nandroid back up back and I am all sorted.

I had the same problem and almost had a heart attack thinking I bricked my phone when downgrading back to 4.1.1... Needless to say I just had to do a factory reset in recovery and it worked fine

[Q] flashing a rom without bricking?

I cant flash a rom and have it work. I have tried several ROMS like aokp, jedi, smooth, jellybeans, etc and they almost always brick. Jedi worked but google services crashed back to back to back to the point where i couldnt even use the phone. does anyone know of a 4.3 rom that works on att sgh-i317?? i basically went down the list on galaxynote2root.com and tried them all but no success.
I have root, have TWRP installed and flash the rom and it bricks. i factory reset first, then install and nothing.
any ideas?

installed AOKP ROM
booted and bricked- hangs at "X" aokp bootup screen

I did those exact steps and it did not work. i tried flashing pac man rom the last time and it got stuck in a boot loop too. I think there are some files that are corrupt or some temp files somewhere that are preventing a successful flash. my binary flash count was 9. and that was just on this run, ive tried flashing several times before. each time the only way to recover it is hooking the phone up to a pc and using kies to flash back to stock firmware. this sucks.
What version of twrp are you using? I have never had this issue you are having and I have flashed every rom on this forum for our device.

9 counts ??
Uh....yeh...not right ...
Have you messed with device partitions in ODIN ??
If so...something is definitely wrong ...
At this point ...you may want to consider a full return to stock and allow the PIT to properly restore your partitions..
Just follow the return to stock guide (sticky )...in the general section ..
Once restored to stock with a corrected flash counter you can begin again using CF auto root as your root method..
It sounds as if you have root issues and possible partition damage...
One other step you can try first is to boot into download mode and re-root using CF...
That may help....but certainly won't hurt anything...then attempt a clean flash again..
If it fails ...then the return to stock and rooting again seems prudent ...g

I used the sticky on turning your phone back to stock which used odin. I followed that list perfectly which said to flash stock using odin, root using cf then using triangle away, then super user to fully unroot. Then I installed clockword mod recovery, booted to recovery mode, cleared all cache and davlik and factory reset again, then installed the aokp and it got stuck in a boot loop

Here's what I do with twrp when flashing a rom.
Go to wipe menu and then advanced wipe and select dalvik, cache, data, system and internal(optional). I do it three times to make sure. then flash your rom with gapps (if aosp)
