I have it turned on and set to activate at 30%. However it doesn't automatically turn on when the battery gets that low. I need to turn it on in the notifications drop down. Is this how it is supposed to work or am I missing something? I thought it would activate on its own.

Always-on is set to "on", so there should be a clock showing when it's dark, but there is not (no clock showing). Still activates when I touch it or press the button. Restarting, or power-off then on doesn't work. Changing watch faces doesn't work. I'm wondering if battery-saver is somehow stuck on, but can't figure out where to access that setting manually. Any ideas?? Thank you!
it's a bug. Let it go to under 15% battery and then turn it off.
I'm on the AT&T variant of the Note 7 and every time I turn on/off the auto-sync these notifications keep coming on. I know turning on sync will use more data and battery consumption and turning it off reduces it. Is there any way to turn these off?
Hello,
I finally updated my HTC One S to the Samsung S9 running version 8.0 of Android
I have found that for some reason, the phone needs to tell me the battery is charged by turning the screen on, and the screen does not turn back off again. I searched here and tried the Googles and seems like that is something Android started doing after my old phone so I cannot find a setting. It also appears via the Googles that there is no setting? Is this correct?
I would like to either make it so notifications do not turn on the screen or that the screen will turn itself back off.
I would be satisfied to have the screen saver turn on while on the charger. I have it set to after 5 minutes but it has never turned on.
If some one could help me with either or both my problems, I would greatly appreciate it. I really don't like that the screen turns on when I plug the charger in, but I can live with it if it turned off.
Thanks
EDIT I would like to add that I have all my AOD stuff turned off.

Since it has been about 6 years since I set my last phone up, I completely forgot about Developer Options.
I unlocked D O and found a setting in there to leave the screen off while charging. I think....I figured out the problem.
I can't believe I forgot about D O :silly:
I still have not figured out the screen saver but I no longer am real concerned about it. I would like to know how to turn off the notification that the battery is charged.
Anyhow, if anyone does not know how to get to the Dev Options on Oreo, it is:
Open Settings
Select System ---> About phone.
Scroll down and tap seven times on the Build number entry.
EDIT. The setting fixed the screen saver issue as well as keeping the screen off
Op3, LineageOS 7.1. My location will not turn off completely. The toggle stays on and will only switch to battery saving. I also cannot switch to device only. If i tap that, it turns on high accuracy. So I only get those two modes, either battery saving or high accuracy. I'd like to be able to turn it off completely or use device only mode as well. I have location history off. I am rooted. I have uninstalled apps that I thought might try to keep location on, such as Prey (a lost phone app).
Does anyone know what is going on? Would I have some other app that is forcing the location to stay on? If so, how would I find what is the culprit?
Before Do Not Disturb even existed I used quite a few apps (llama, Phone Profiles Plus, Sound Profile) to achieve sound management over night. Unfortunately at some points in time some of these failed to work due to more aggressive battery management of my newer phones or after software updates that broke things.
However now I feel that DND provides more options and is a more elegant solution...if it would do what I want.
I would like to turn it *manually* on, go to sleep, and have it turned off at 8:00 AM. Anyone found a way to do that?
You can set a schedule to turn on and off automatically. You can also turn it on manually then set it to turn off automatically. You select how many hours you want it on.
