Preferably cm10 or 9 because this is based on stock android but from what I've heard it works on all 4+

Awesome. I'll flash it in a bit and see how it works. I've always wanted a built in panoramic photo option.
I'll let yah know if works since I am on 4.0.4.

I take it this doesn't work with the current 4.1 rom being worked on by dman?

didn't work for me
I was on stock of ICS and it said the device wasn't supported for the sphere mode.
Does take pictures though

Tried and got the same error.
Downloaded the camera app again from the generic android app forum and now the app works fine. For photo sphere it wouldn't save the pic taken correctly. But atleast the app doesn't force closes or anything. Probably will have to wait a few more day until new versions arrive. For now its working fine as normal cam and gallery.

Source for Android 4.2 is arriving in 10 days.
As for Camera fixes, if anyone is getting problems taking pictures tap to focus before snapping.
I tried to install this into man's cm10 but it said app not installed then disappeared? Tried to reinstall but still no camera on the phone...was it suppose to work on this beta or not?

Yeah it's supposed to. Did you flash via CWMR?
I booted phone into recovery and flashed...no errors? It flashes fine just won't appear in the list of apps...again it was there on first flash but when I tried to open it said 'app not installed' then disappeared

Hm Strange try wiping cache and dalvik before and fix permissions after. Works fine for me.. Anyway once source 4.2 is released it is possible we will get a fully working one

I have the same problem, I wiped the caches and flashed it and ran fix permissions, but no camera app. I do have two gallery apps now though, both version 1.1.40000.

I wiped the cache and tried again but no go? Still not on phone? I have 5.0.2.7 recovery, do I need a newer version? Can't find option to flux permissions but the flash does it during the flash.

the other way is to...
open the zip, extract it to a folder, look in the folder /system/app and copy and paste the two apks into your system app on phone. Do the same with /system/lib.
Two .apk? I only see one GalleryGoogle.apk. I thought my download from my phone was acting up but still only this files downloaded on my computer as well. Any way to re upload the file?
so now that we have working camera on CM10, should this work correctly on that? I mean photosphere mode still says that my device is not supported.
Not sure. I would just go with what's packaged for the rom. This one is a universal package...

Here is the Galaxy Note 2 camera/gallery CWM zip. Installed and working great on Black Jelly 1.0.1. Looks like you might need to be on a deodexed rom.
I found it while I was in the recovery room after my back surgery and can't remember where I got it from so whomever originally posted this.... Thank You.
If you are having FC's while trying to use Best Group Pose, install the apk listed below. I will update any fixes/updates that I come across.

Haven't messed with it much yet but looking in the settings it has this. It will replace gallery and camera but I also have album as well from the Rom.

Thanks.. I think it is now called "Best Face" on the latest release, but I think "Best Group Photo" is the same thing. Wonder if I can flash on stock rooted JB.. Just did a Nandroid, so may have to try it out. thanks!
*EDIT - Does not work on rooted stock. gives errors on camera and gallery. Flashed via CWM.
For installation, do we flash in cwm or do we unzip and install?

CWM for install. Not sure why it won't install rooted stock...maybe it needs deodexed rom. I'm using Black Jelly and installed without any issues.

That would be my guess since the ODEX files aren't in the CWM zip file. I am pulling the Poland S3 update with the latest camera to see if it has the ODEX'd files along with the camera and gallery app. Thanks for you post Phoneguy589

Should this work on CM10/AOSP? I flashed and rebooted, still stock camera. Extracted the .apk's and copied them to /system/app and sat permissions as required, rebooted and still stock camera.

Might not because of good old TouchWiz. I've read the gallery and the camera are somehow tied together. You may want to look in the CM10 threads there to see what they might using. From what I've read their CM10 is just starting out...data, sms,calls and GPS only working.
Got it working on my stock Rooted JB. Just copied over the apks and lib manually in Root explorer instead of flashing via CWM. Renaming stock camera gallery and odex files

I ha e stock rooted jb att, and whenever I'm in the camera app and try to look at the picture I've just taken the gallery opens then force closes... When I'm in gallery all the pictures I've taken show up black screened...... Help

Yep... Same happened to me after testing... As soon as I put the stock camera and odex back I could see the pictures... I took. Must be a lib or two missing or a jar file edit...

Should be fine. Are you on a deodexed rom? I found this in the android app section so it should be just like installing any other app. I made a nandroid backup before installing of course.

I have updated to the 4.3 android and I was disappointed when notice that the pacman rom dont have the emojis. So I searched on google and xda, someone that have posted the "installation zip" of the 4.3 emoji keyboard. No one have done it, so here I am, have done it myself. Hope you enjoy it. Is working perfectly on pacman don know if is gonna work on other roms.
Installation method:
Download zip file from the atachment
Move to sdcard
Reboot in recovery
Select .zip and install
ENJOY!!

i successfully flash the lg ogp cm10.1 unofficial rom and used GApps Core 4.2.2.zip. Is it possible to install gapps with GenieWidget Addon 4.2.2.zip and Photosphere Camera Addon 4.2.2.zip
I know the photosphere on the Google edition cameras works with this phone but I just downloaded it and installed it. U do have to uninstall the stock camera but I don't know about the other thing.

Yes it is. Look for "banks gapps" here on xda. I believe his portal has all the many options you want. I've used it in the past but not on this phone. You can also install PA GAPPS. That has everything in the package.

it appers banks remove 4.2.2 gapps do you guys still have 4.2.2 gapps the im using is Archived GApps 4.2.2 provided by MikeRL100 and my camera and gallery isn't working.
Just DL from goo manager and make sure u don't get 4.3 gapps.

there was a stock video player app on 4.1.2 that I wish I could get back after I flash CyanogenMod 10.1.

I don't know if the video player apk is framework dependent or not. ..but...
You could pull that apk from a stock 4.1.2 build...and place it in system/app for testing...
It's also possible that someone has already pulled it out...
Did you check the themes and apps section for a copy of the apk ???
Then it could be side loaded using the package installer. ..g
