[INFO THREAD]ORANGB10 CID - Jelly Bean update progress >> 17 November LATEST CHECK <<
Hey mates!
I have created the thread for Polish people (like me) who have One X with ORANGB10 CID and cannot update their firmware to JB as we have to wait for official OTA. I haven't found any thread like that even on Polish forums, so that's why I decided to post it there. I am gonna inform you all in this thread if there is any update and what's the latest firmware for our ORANGB10 CID devices. I have posted also some RUUs, so you can easily flash stock firmware and in case available official OTA - update your phone. I am also gonna reflash stock firmware on my One X (I will try do do it kinda frequently) so we know if there's finally a precious update.

To Polish people
If you have such an opportunity, please post the link to this thread on Polish forums too, as it's really useful and I am 100% sure people will find it really great. Also, if you have ANY news about update from Orange PL, please post it there (my carrier is T-Mobile, I've bought my new One X with ORANGB10 CID unfortunately. A lot of One X's in Poland are unfortunately from Orange distributon). It will be appreciated.

and another pointless thread!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1967859 is already setup for this.

not so pointless but all firmwares are already listed here

Lol just because your polish doesn't make a difference.
There is sufficient threads to cover this topic.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app

There is no need to create a duplicate thread just based on Polish CIDs.
The JB Discussion Thread catches all CIDs regardless of origin. Thread Closed.

[Q] 1.29.708.9 to 1.29.401.11? Help Please :)

Hey everyone,
After realizing that flashing a custom rom doesn't actually update the phone on a whole I decided to go back to stock and update over OTA starting from 1.26.
My cid is HTC__622
My problem is that I'm not sure if I can update my phone to the latest version, 1.29.401.11.
I've updated from 1.26 -> 1.28 -> 1.29.708.9 but I can't seem to go any further.
Does anyone have this update? Or is this update just not available for my handset yet?
Thanks heaps
You don't have an EU handset so you get those with x.xx.708.x in them

you both might want to check this thread out regarding the jb update - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1927048
Thanks I will keep a watch out on that
I was replacing my broken One X on Wednesday via a phone call to 3 network and after placing the order for the new phone, I then asked the advisor when HOX users could expect the Jelly Bean update for three network users, I was told that they're "still working on it and we can hope for it to be released before the end of the first quarter of next year" :crying::crying:
Oh Great see I have tried doing a firmware update but it just fails I have 001 but still it doesnt like it

It wouldn't as you need to have the HTC__001 CID (just using as an example). And we have H3G__001, so the firmware isn't compatible with our handsets
We'll have to wait for official OTA to be pushed by Three, before we can even think about trying JB or JB ROMS.
i ahve a htc one x that came from Tmobile UK, it has a cid of T-MOB005. is it possible for me to change the cid to HTC__001, and make it take the OTA update ?

Not currently...You need an S-OFF device to change CID, which is not yet possible for the tegra version. You'll have to wait for the T-Mobile JB update to be pushed to your handset.
Only a lucky "few" received devices with factory ship S-OFF

That means that CID HTC__E11 could never receive that update?
Actually this OTA is not still available to any CID. At least I havent seen anyone confirming it.
On the road using my HOX
is the update already pushed elsewhere (out europe) ?? where did you get the information about this update ? thank you
What is the changelog of that update anyhow?

No what im trying to say is that there are different cids across Europe, HTC makes the decision to what cids the update is pushed at. So lets say for example cid 001 got it but htc e11 didn't, that doesn't mean HTC E11 won't get it eventually !

[Q] HTC One M8 United Kingdom RUU

Hi,
I have been looking for an RUU file for the United Kingdom version of the HTC One M8. I can't find one which is why I refuse to convert my phone into a GPE device just in case I can't go back.
Does anybody know where I can find it?
The firmware version is 1.54.401.10
Thanks in advance.

Thanks anyway for your help.
I have another question. Are these released via leaks?

Typically yes. As a very general rule HTC does not release RUUs to the general public for non-developer devices. That being said, there are occasions when HTC will post them. For example HTC has officially posted current RUUs for AT&T & T-Mobile M8s here in the US. Those RUUs were posted at the request of HTC's client, in this case the two carriers mentioned above.
Software versions containing the 401 SKU (like yours) are WWE ROMs (world wide English) and are not specific to one particular carrier or country and therefore almost never have an accompanying RUU publicly released. Any RUU posted online for that SKU is almost certainly a leak, as are the vast majority of RUUs available. Unfortunately at this time the leaks are few and far in between. There have been an Asian RUU leaked & Verizon and Sprint RUUs leaked as well, but nothing for Europe.

There is potentially a solution for you, however. While I don't personally recommend converting a standard device to GPE, I do accept that people do it. Should you decide you want to and then decide you want to convert back (as I'm sure you will), visit my buddy @Sneakyghost's firmware thread where you will be able to find the 1.54.401 firmware that will help you return back to stock.
