I was cleaning my internal sd and saw that this is taking a lot of space of my internal sd.. I deleted all backups except my recent but my backup in the backup folder is only 16mb... And the blob folder is 4.11 before and after deleting other backups so I know the backup files arnt In there or are they? Just want to see if someone can clarify to me what good is this folder doing me and how can I chop down the size of it if needed

That's the backup. Don't delete it if you want to be able to restore the backup you made.

It seems to use a lot of resources?
It scans storage for all media files pics music ringtones, etc and keeps there location for whatever needs them. So I would say that you do definitely need it. However it does seem like yours is going more than it should. I would recommend backing everything up and doing a full wipe and reinstall everything to see if it works better.

it's getting stuck on some dir trying to scan files. does the OP have some folder on /sdcard/ that has like, an abuse of files, jpegs, mp3? place '.nomedia' file under that dir or structure it into more folders.
Probably a corrupt picture or audio file on your /sdcard.

I don't think so. But maybe a rogue app created a ton of media files? I'd have to check.

maybe; a corrupt file could also be the cause, like previously posted. still, if we cant find the culprit, imo a fresh start would be best, reflashing from fastboot.
saw this elsewhere: there are also widgets that may cause this behaviour, especially ones that sync something.

I'm not sure if this will solve it but its a worth a try. Go to settings/apps or app manager then scroll to ALL and then open settings and clear data and cache. And try again. This might wipe your setups.

The "0" Directory

Okay, so basically every time I flash a new ROM it creates that undeletable 0 folder/directory which is really annoying. I have about six 0 folders on my device's storage now and it makes everything painfully unorganized. I know this is normal but is there anyway I can delete the extra folders?

It should only make 1 directory if it doesn't it means you're not on the latest recovery. You can either try and deleting them or format your internal memory

Please search for similar questions before posting. There have many questions just like this one. Upgrade to the latest ClockWork Mod recovery, or the latest TWRP recovery, and this should be fixed.

How can I fix this? I have the legacy/user folders (media/0/0/0). I've also made a few backups if that's what's taking up my storage. Any help is appreciated. I am a noob.
I am on the newest paranoid android ROM.

The file structure in the GUI is the same as you'd expect on your "sdcard". Your backups are in "/sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/"
Yes, its perfectly fine to delete them. Just make sure you're happy with your current configuration and you wont be wanting to revert back to one of those backups.
I would go ahead and WIPE the Titanium Backups as well. With a folder that large, I can only assume you have old app versions there and there is no point on having outdated apps when you have the latest.

How to recover space from internal memory?

Folks my M8 is now running out of space. I noticed there is an others folder but I can't find it.

I recommend the app "Disk Usage" which provides a really nice intuitive and slick graphical interface, to allow you to pretty easily determine what files are taking up all your storage: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage
But you should be aware of what the files are, and what the result of deleting them will be, before doing so. Depending on what the file is, you might want to at least copy it to your computer before deleting.
You haven't mentioned if your phone is modded (custom recovery, custom ROM, etc.) but if you have any TWRP backups or ROMs, those will usually default to internal storage (unless you've set it up otherwise) and fall under the "Other" category, and often a big consumer of that much space. In particular, a single TWRP backup can easily take up 5 GB (depending on number of apps, etc.).
You can always move important files to your external Sdcard and format internal memory ,in most cases the "other" file won't have anything that will brake your phone if deleted

That still doesn't answer the question of whether you have a TWRP backup on the phone, or not.
I gave a suggestion on how to determine what files are taking up all the storage. Did you try it?
