[Q] Flash Player for Nexus running 4.2

Hi, my old HTC Sensation running Ginger Bread supports Flash videos in web-sites, my new Galaxy Nexus (and also my Samsung Tab 2) does not
Is there a solution? I looked in the Play store for Flash Player but couldn't find anything.
One reason I refused to go with the Apple crowd is Flash support, and now Google have gone that way too?????

Adobe Flash player is not supported for newer android versions than 4.0.4 but you can download flash player from internet and then install it and you have working flash player on 4.2, 4.2.1

It's not in Play store because it is not supported for newer than Android ICS 4.0.4
So that's why you have to download it from internet:
put it to your Galaxy Nexus via USB Cable or download it via Galaxy Nexus's browser then install File Manager e.g. ES File Manager, open it: and scroll down and press Flash-Player.apk and the press install

Adobe Flash in Firefox

I recently hard reset my phone, installed the flash player apk and the latest version of Firefox and everything seems to be ok. The only issue I am running into is playing flash videos on the desktop version of cnn.com. They play fine in "Browser" but won't play in FF (says it is not supported and plugins are enabled). Other flash websites seem to behave ok in FF. Would someone mind trying to play a flash video at cnn.com and let me know if it works for you or not? I could have sworn it was working properly for me before the hard reset. I have installed flash player v11.1.115.12. Thanks!

Thanks. Unfortunately, still get the same error after uninstalling my version, rebooting, and installing the updated apk: "Video format or MIME type is not supported"

Kindle App FC'ing

I am running 4.2.2 smoothrom 1.5 and the kindle store app keeps FC'ing. It's greatly annoying and just started out of nowhere.
I am having this exact same problem with my rooted kindle fire. The Kindle Reader app force closes immediately when you open it! I am going to try to find an older version of the app...

If it works send me the apk it's extremely annoying lol
If you downloaded the apk from Play Store, its a crap version, the latest update broke the app... I installed and downloaded from the Amazon Appstore, they have an older version and it works fine.

LOL I did the same first time, it updated from Google Play by itself!!! Funnily enough the Google Play version works fine on my HTC phone =/
You can probably get the latest version working by using Build.prop Editor to change the 'ro.product.manufacturer' line to Asus, Samsung etc. It seems Amazon is stopping the Play apps from functioning properly on their devices, but when the device manufacturer is changed to something other than Amazon, the latest versions of non-stock Amazon apps work again.

[Q] Goog play music

I know you cant install apps from the play store without xposed and root (which is impossible now because of the use of an efuse http://paris.utdallas.edu/ssiri08/Tonti_SSIRI_eFuse_V2.pdf)
But can you install the framework needed to use google apps? like Google Play music via adb sideload?
has anyone tried this scenario yet?
I have not tried it yet but according to this post it is possible.
If you have rooted and using the latest firmware then you can still load up google play.
As far as google music, the latest apk even through google play wont work. You have to get one version less.
I have the apk if you need, I can upload it for you. Send me a pm. Try side loading that apk and test it out on your firetv if google play is what you are looking for.

Do you happen to have the version number? I've tried the following four - the two middle versions (^) crashed without loading, and the newest and 5.6 versions (*) loaded fine, but wouldn't let me set up an account:
Google Play Music 5.7.1788Q.1634597 *
Google Play Music 5.7.1783Q.1607940 ^
Google Play Music 5.7.1781Q.1595424 ^
Google Play Music 5.6.1642P.1595276 *
Any help would be fantastic. I'm not rooted, but there does seem to be some promise for side-loading Play Music.
I've been unsuccessful in getting the Google Play Music apk to work, installing it is no problem though,
I have managed to install the Google Play Music script via XBMC (Kodi) though, just push the app via the Fire TV tool, install it, enter your credentials via the configuration option & then run it.

[Q] Google Play store problems

Hello,
I've recently upgraded my Sony Xperia Acro S to android 5.0. Everything was fine, until i tried to install google play store. I downloaded .apk file from apkmirror, installed it, everything seemed fine, but when I try to open it, the app just shows a white window and immediately shuts down. It doesn't even load or anything. I tried to download different versions of google play store - new and old ones, and tried to import the apk file from computer but result is the same for every version. Any tips/ suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Google apps don't work that way. You need to flash them via recovery, and they are separate for separate Android versions. If You are on Android 5.0, You need to flash these gapps via TWRP, and if on 5.1, then these gapps. Although You need to uninstall play store completely first.
