Hello everybody,
I have three annoying problems with my camera.
First :
Sometimes, when I take a photograph, the phone loads the gallery just after and don't save the shot which I just take.
Second :
Sometimes, the picture is wrong.
I mean : When I take a photograph, in preview, the picture is good, but when I go to the gallery, the picture has a problem.
I can't describe it in English, but I have a example of the wrong picture here with.
Third :
When I am in the camera application, or in preview, the phone "block". I can't do nothing with it, only remove the battery for restart it...
I have the Runnymede AIO V6.0.4.3 ROM at the moment, but had this problem with old version of the ROM too.
I changed the radio yesterday to see if probems come from that, but it doesn't change anything.
Radio now : 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.08
Radio before : 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23

I have the "second" problem , too , but rarely.. and another one : i use Runny ROM and the camera effects don't work (like the one with points, distorsing,etc.). Is something wrong with the rom, or this works just with cm7r2... ?

i've heard of this issue before somewhere i think it's the roms issue
i had something like this on the htc dev rom occasionally when i took pics with the stock cam . do you get the same result with another rom eg non sense ?

I will try with a AOSP ROM, and try to found the problem in the ROM issues.

I had the same problem in the ROM ICS, but switched to back to GB and everything works the best.
If this is Runnymede, it probably re-install the ROM fix this problem.
BTW: I recommend you RUNNY ROM v5.0
I had the second problem after 2 months of InsertCoin 1.1.4.
I switched to RunnymedeMOD007 and that problem stopped.
Also my pictures where low quality and I cleaned the plastic in the back cover with a little toothpaste to remove some residue of the anti-reflection layer that wore of.
Maybe those residue in some light environments helped in the distortion of some pictures like the one you sent.

I have tried to uninstall the HTC camera and to reinstall it.
Uninstall was OK
But didn't reinstall...
So I download a other camera in the market, pugging camera, a bit slower but worked perfectelly.
This afternoon, I had installed the RunnyRom V5.5
So, I will now try with it.

I have all of those mentioned problems in first post. Stripe in the picture (I saw, that occurred just with zoom+), freezing phone after took the picture (this one is reaaaally annoying for me)... I had them in Runnymed AIO last 2-3 versions so I was thinking reinstall to RunnyRom will help me. But not... All mention reoccurred and new one is that after the picture is took, preview friezed, picture is not saved and only Home button works to go out from camera app. Did anyone solved this problem with camera? Why this happening?
Another problem a had with RannyMed AIO was that, phone randomly friezed and restarted. This occurred when browsing web, chatting on gTalk, using Sygic Aura navigation... really annoying... I thing this was caused by overheating, but I'm not sure... I have RunnyRom 6.1.1 just 2nd day, so for now happened just problem with camera...
Any suggestions?

I think, the ROM isn't supported anymore (or less upgarde), but have no problem with it.
Good rom for me, I wouldn't change for the moment
You should try resetting the standard value in your cams menu. This solves most of the freezing issues.

EDIT:
I tried reset to default settings in camera menu... than I choose "smart SnapShot", make a picture and camera friezed without saving pictur... I have had to stopped camera application by pushed the home button.

I'm also using this one. Before Runnymede... both same problems or similar problems with camera.
the facebook app is acting weird in ICS...i am not getting cover photos etc on timelines of facebook...ive tried many ROMs...431, CM9 ...its the same on all..but i tried gingerbread 62, and facebook on that was fine..
anyone else have this problem?

+1 exactly same problem.
i tried JJ's Hybrid ROM, it seemed to work fine on that, but still not working on stock...

Same here, I use JJ's ROM and no problems so far. It runs very smoothly, some minor 1-2 seconds lags when opening dialler for 1st time since few hours of inactivity, but apart from that all is working like a charm!!
i tried JJ again, this time facebook WAS NOT working properly... i dont know what i did different this time :S
Same problem here. No link to pictures, infos, etc in profile pages.

i am now using "fast for facebook" - not beautiful, but it works for the moment until the problem with the official app is solved.

with cyanogenmod my facebook is working as it should.
but not with arconium...
so i think it is rom-related.
Facebook is working fine for me on Stock 4.0.4.

not working properly here... I can see everything but after a minute on it my whole phone is unresponsive, and when I tap the notification, the list appear in the middle of the screen and not on the top.. I have ICS rooter with official version.
i flashed the stock ROM again, it was working fine at first, but after 1 or 2 days, the problem came back...
Had the same problem with it on stock but after changing to FXP CM9 now it works just fine.
Any fix yet? This is seriously annoying...
Can we flash another facebook app or something?

i have tried alot of stuff, nothing seems to fix it.
I guess we will have to wait then with the crappy ICS Facebook App...
currently using CM7.2 downloaded Facebook works fine!
Iam on arconium ics 4 , no cover photos, font is like 3x bigger and extremely slow

Hi Guys, can any one help me? It was working fine 2 days ago, But it stopped focusing at all.
Does it relates to any physical damage to device as my device slipped out of my hand 2 days ago but i am not sure that it stopped working at that time.
Hmm...you didn't give us enough info.
Are you on stock ICS?
What app do U use. ( stock cam or something else?)
Try to install some other cam app from market, if focus works at least you'll know it's not a hardware issue.
If U're on cyanogen mod, the focus problem exist, it's already confirmed.
But only on video rec.
I suppose U checked settings and you're not using infinity focus... If so then change to auto or something diferent and then try.

Is your G-sensor working (auto-rotation)?
It happens due to g-sensor issue
Not working on mine either, but works on 4.1.1 since its camera app doesn't require g-sensor
on 4.2.2 you can download an app camera jb which works perfectly fine.
HTC had delivered app update for camera problem in Sense 5 (4.2.2), but pls note that is for fixing camera only not for G-Sensor.

How did this 4.2.2 software pass QA?
This phone would be awesome but it such a pos.
1st wifi and bluetooth signal not working properly, then home buttons failing to light, auto rotate failing and now the camera cuts out before you can take a picture.
Reseting phone at times has allowed the home buttons and auto rotate to work in the past so i assumed it was a software glitch, now i know for sure that htc are completely useless at QA and dont care about the customer.
Completely stock phone except the wifi mod to add a piece of wire which worked for wifi but bluetooth is still poor.
10 months to go til replacement time

It stops working the moment you turn the screen off. Immediately starts working again if you turn it back on.

I have the same problem... It seems as tho the screen has to be on for it to work.

call microphone and speaker problem
have an issue with my m8 .. cyanogenmod 11 everytime i call ,, the the speaker and the volume is maxed but i cant hear ,, the person that im talking .. my question is ? is this already fixed ?? and am i the only one experiencing this .
Is anyone else on Verizon having huge issues with MMS on the latest M build? They get stuck on "sending" for quite a while until I reboot and just destroy my battery.

Quick question about this ROM, has nothing to do with the conversation over.
But the camera app on CM, is that the standard cm camera app, or is it the same as stock HTC? If not, is there a way to install the HTC camera app? Love CM, but also the HTC camera and gallery/edit functions

Can't have the best of both worlds unfortyunitely...
Really loving this rom but my only gripe is that the camera is sooooooo bad on this rom. It always looks blurry. Is this a common problem?

I searched the CM11 thread and it appears that there is for case support in CM11. I just can't seen to find the option. I saw that it is in the ROM somewhere but I can't find an application or a setting. I am on the latest Nightly. Anyone know where it is? Thanks!

Hello all,
I'm currently on CM M11 and I'm having trouble with the double tap to wake feature. I was on nightlies a few days ago and also had the problem. Does this problem exist on M10 or on some old nightlies? Just wondering if I can find a CM build that doesn't have that problem.

Reboot and it will fix. It's a pain but that's what I do

Google search the oneplusone cyanogen camera apk. That one works great. I'll see if I can find link.

APN issues
I'm still having the "No APN specified" problem on my Verizon HTC One M8. Happens on stock messenger, happens with Hangouts. When I look at my APN settings under Hangouts, I have settings for Metro PCS and Sprint. None for Verizon.
For what it's worth (probably nothing), I am using the latest TWRP recovery, ART, and the Good Stock GAPPS package from the Paranoid Android guys. I usually do a full wipe when moving from stock to CM, though just doing a factory reset didn't help last time.
Does the unified build check your CID when it installs? I was SuperCID for a while, and thought that maybe the wrong APNs were being selected because my device was misdetected as a development build.

Boot Loop
I seem to be stuck in a boot loop. I'm using an HTC One M8, coming from ViperROM.
What I did:
1) Using TWRP, wiped data, cache, dalvik
2) Flashed CM 11 11/11/2014 nightly
3) Flashed gapps 4.4.4
Now when I boot, the phone gets stuck in the CM boot animation. I'm able to successfully restart back into recovery.
Please advice. Thanks!
