Here are some 4.2 apps with transparent Widgets. That's what I use on my homescreens so I'm sharing I'll update more if possible.
Add .Bak to the end of your gmail and music2 apk in system/app, paste these and fix permissions then reboot! $$$$
Enjoy and hit the tks.

The last one is to tease you lol!

Samsung have taken it out because of Daily Briefing widget(?) but Daily Briefing isn't very good.
Alternatively, does anyone have a suggestion for an a widget that will display month view, and works well? I tried Pure grid Calendar, but it's very slow
Check out Smooth Calendar for a similar to stock calendar widget. It's free too!
smooth calander rocks!
Can confirm here. It rocks.
Thanx for smooth calendar. Just installed it and indeed it rocks.

On the vibrant using root explorer you can delete the calendar and calender provider apk's and paste the N1 stock calendar and calender provider apk's in the system/app to get the default android calendar widgets. But keep in mind any Samsung widgets that use the calendar info will become inoperable. As it has some different widgets on the i9000 i couldn't tell you which, but if it uses anything with the stock Samsung calendar it will force close. I am pretty sure it should work just fine, you can see it in the vibrant general area if you want exact instructions.
try pure calendar widget, it's good
I just got an SGS2 and really hate the Calendar Widgets included as I can't use them with ADWlauncher EX.
Which files do I have to overwrite to get the stock calendar and it's widget?
Is it enough to copy Calendar.apk to system/app or do I also have to copy GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk and CalendarProvider.apk (or even more files I don't know about)?

If the widget is set to work with tw launcher then it will not work with any other launcher no matter what you try

That's exactly why I want the standard Google calendar app and it's widget back by installing the calendar from aosp.
I asked whether it's enough to copy over Calendar.apk or not.

Facing the same problem too, anyone can help, i Google around still cant find ...
I have pulled some Google apps from the latest Cyanogen Mod and tried them on my SGS running Froyo (JP6). They are running fine, so I thought, I should share them with you!
Instructions:
- you can install them like normal apps (just open the apks)
- for car home you'll need to install both apks
- for the desk clock you'll probably also need the genie widget (for weather)
Bugs:
- the music tab in desk clock doesn't do anything (check the 2nd post)
Some pictures:
(BTW: I modified the first shortcut, as well as the 5th one you can choose whatever you want there)
OK, the stock music app is working, but you'll have to replace the galaxy s music app.
Instructions (with Root Explorer):
- Go to system/app and move Musicplayer.apk and MusicPlayer.odex to a backup folder (somewhere on you SD)(if it doesn't work, click the "Mount R/W" button at the top)
- copy Music.apk to system/app
- click and hold until the menu opens up, click permissions and change them to the following:
And that's it! Works now with the desk clock app (but you might want to reboot)!
It's working Thanks
All working great - excellent work!
Presumably to get the normal media player back youj ust do the opposite?

I didn't make any widgets transparent What you see is what you get The first pic is car mode the second desk clock
Thanks buddy.

Edit: Used Tapatalk to access the forum and then it is able to download properly. Trying to dl via the browser was a fail however.
Thanks for putting these in a single post.
yeah thanks for these
PERFECT!!
Thanks to orig poster.
As tony tiger would say, this is gggggrrrreeeat.
or something...
Very usefull applications.
I have also installed these along with the TouchwizGTG modified launcher which lets me rotate my home page, etc.
I also installed the replacement music.apk.
Icons are appearing a little smaller everywhere now and the music player appears......to have smaller buttons etc....
Much faster though than my stock JPM touchwizza.
look nice .
What you see is what you get?
For some reason the weather gadget isn't transparent on my device.
Instead of DeskClok I recommend Alarm Clock V2:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.vp.alarmClockPlusDock
It's based on DeskClock but more configurable and the music tab works with our Galaxy S Music Application
Great trick for having music tab working!
I have clockpackage yet because of chronometer and timer, so have two types of alarm
Can someone tell me why the weather widget isn't transparent on my SGS?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks dude. I'm totally loving this!
One problem though, I have two clocks now - AOSP and Samsungs. Is it clockpackage that I have to delete, or? Thx

Bumpppp
You can just delete one of them... But I like and use both, so I keep them.
I use Folder Organizer which apparently doesn't have an option for using ADW Theme Icons.
Is there a way for me to access my ADW Theme Icons and place them in my Gallery so FO can use them? Where are ADW Theme Icons located on my SDCard?
Anyone who is interested, I found the individual .pngs for the Fluxed ADW.Theme here:
http://vazguard.deviantart.com/#/d32ffwi
** THAT'S WEIRD:
I just downloaded all of the Fluxed Icon .pngs to my sdcard but my Gallery can't see them. My gallery sees all my other Icons .png's just fine. Any ideas?
Hi,
i've installed [ICS IMM76I][Open][Multi-Lang 25 local languages] MIUI v.4 2.7.6 and its pretty nice. By longpressing on screen i can add different widgets (eg.Clock, Music). If i select the MIUI weather widget (2x4 and 1x4), the widget tells that MIUI Weather is not installed. OK. Then i download the app from miui.es and it works good. My problem is, that i still see the old widgets in the widget list, but i can't delete it. I searched also in the system/app folder and i deleted the WeatherProvider.apk, but the old widgets are still there.
Where can i find the stupid apk file that shows the unuseless icons in the widget list??
I am very new at theming and have just discovered this themer app. A theme I currently like is shown in the images below, but I have some questions.
1. In the main homescreen the weather app is not working so I want to delete it and replace it with another one like beweather but how do I delete the one in the theme? Long press does not let me delete it.
2. Same question, how do I delete the music app on the second page? Long press won't do it?
3. I like the circular widget in the center of the main homescreen. How can I extract it to use it with a different launcher like Nova?
4. Tutorial?
Thanks.
