I've tried a few different roms here, each with the 15 toggle mod.
The toggles are a bit buggy though. If i set only 5 icons, they don't expand to fill the width of the screen.
Im forced to use six.
If i use six, then rotate the screen, they don't auto-expand to fill the width either.
Is this the case for all the toggle mods- or are some buggy and some good?
Can't help ya, but this belongs in Q&A and not the development section.

Sorry, thought this was more appropriate.
I don't think I can move my own thread.

What Rom did you try? No issue here and using Jedi Master.
Ask a mod to move this thread to Q&A section.

Questions, of ANY kind, do NOT belong into the development board.
There's a sticky, called [Warning] MUST READ 1st

In the future it would be great if you could make yourself familiar with sticky threads before posting.

I happen to be one of those rooters who still enjoys the Sense UI over an AOSP base.
However, I was wondering if there was a way to lower the amount of home screens I have. My daily is Myn's RLS4 and with Sense I find myself only really using 3-5 home screens and basically fill the other 2 with widgets just so they are not blank. I wouldn't mind them if I have to, but it's possible my phone would run a little quicker and save some battery if I were able to limit the amount of home screens and focus on using the apps for the info when I need it rather than have the widgets constantly running.
I'm not sure if there is a way to integrate a Miui or ADW/Launcher Pro method of controlling how many screens we have, but I think it's not far out of the ballpark.
I searched through the forums for about an hour looking for any info, but didn't find anything. Please post a link if this has been discussed already.
haha bump. i would like to know that aswell. there are times that i miss the clouds fly by lol.

Seriously though, when I first got the Evo, I was like yeah seven screens your other phones suck. Now I just want 3, maybe 5.

For the clouds just install "widgetlocker" it has the option
Hey bud not sure if you noticed, but this is not the Q&A section. Questions are to be asked in Q&A.
....really you cant change that in the sense options somewhere? Just another reason Sense is lame, imo.
LauncherProPlus, FTW!!! I got one homescreen, and 15 icons in my dock, not to mention swype gestures, and running CM6 so i have lockscreen gestures as well...

Hey buddy, this is a development question. It was more of a suggestion of an idea that I had not seen before more than a question about something that exists.
The community is about making better devices, apps, etc. for all and there's no need to waste your time posting a reply about being in the wrong section. If it is violating anything, the mods can move it.
Moved to Q&A as this is a [Q]. The Android Development threads are for software coding/releases.
Bump. Nothing on this yet?
Any info would be nice.
Thanks
bump
Would love some guidance on this, hoping the # of homescreens config is held in a file somewhere and someone with a rooted phone can edit it?
Hi
When I go into the app draw, the draw is sat just over the tabs for app, recent and running.

For **** sake, why on Earth would anyone think that this requires a new thread? Go ask in Mildwild's thread!
+1

yes it is a general discussion forum on GALAXY NEXUS
not on AOKP
this is GALAXY NEXUS XDA GENERAL, not everyone use aokp.
DEFINITION OF GENERAL:
not specialized or limited in range of subject, application, activity.
if u want to discuss about AOKP, go to AOKP thread
learn before u try to say something dude
Lol. He was fine to post the update. Could've linked the change log though. This thread will disappear soon enough as anybody caring will be downloading instead of posting.

Plus, CM9 is way better anyways.

So you have problems with people's obsession with AOKP just because you THINK CM9 is way better?
People who care about an AOKP refresh will read the AOKP thread...
This is useless.

Hmm, but this is a general section, no? It's regarding a ROM for GN, it's appropriate, much better than those whining threads.
Well I have a minor question. Just to confirm, I can upgrade from aokp 29 to 32 without a wipe/reset, correct? Just want to double check. I know the 4.0.4 ota code was merged in and released on 29. So I should be able to flash upgrade to 32 without wipe correct? Don't think any major breaks occurred between them and I can't read that whole thread to confirm.

First of all, there's no need for you to be so rude about it. Let alone repeat yourself multiple times.
Second of all, if it's not limited in range or subject then you can't limit it to anything other than AOKP. That qualifies as a limit, does it not? That's like saying I can drive as fast as I want as long as I'm not doing 60mph. Anything above or below is fine. That's putting a limit on 60mph.
Lastly, if no one cares, let the thread die. If it doesn't die then maybe people do care. Either that or you'll keep it alive by complaining..
I'll say thanks too. And bump it.
This isn't a thread for development feedback, from what I can tell, hence why I think it's perfectly fine here to simply inform Gnex users of a new release with a lot of (needed, imo) bug fixes.
Pointless? Maybe. But there are a lot of threads in here that I personally think are pointless.
So guess what I do? Ignore the ones I don't care about.
But hey, that's just my opinion.
And like assh*les, everyone's got em.
This post was helpful for me. Im always in here and was excited to see a new release. I don't normally have time to go through multiple links to keep up with releases. So thank you for posting this up!
thanks for the info, flashed it already on my nexus and hp touchpad
DAMN you guys are some crying little kids! WHO the hell cares where he posts? If you got a problem with it then report it and let a mod deal with it! MOVE ON homies!!
Hey
AOKP updated to B32 in cased you missed it.
Flashed it this morning. It's awesome.
ISO ROM or app that can invert blacks & whites(not racial) for optical nighttime ease
I remember seeing some browser, dolphin maybe, do this but I want it system wide if possible. Currently using "cf. lumen" which makes screen redder, along with a screen dimming app but I would like to go all the way and invert colors inverting black/white shades. Anyone know? Thanks
Great looking rom, I can't seem to find the link to it though... you need to have a mod move this to its proper place.
But to answer you, may I mention using an aosp or cm rom and apply a theme... if you don't understand that, use google.
Have a nice day
Hmm, I thought I started this under the development section. Anyway, I gotcha. Apply a theme. I suppose that's easy enough.have you actually seen a theme that accomplishes what I've stated?

Starting a thread in Development is only for posting a ROM, mod etc. that you created.
Questions like this thread, rightfully belong in Q&A.
Question in the title. Samsung lets you do it, iPhone does as well, and I know some Google ROMs used to.

By going to the xda thread for it.
Thread cleaned! I sincerely hope that this little altercation has reached it's end, and that we can put the name calling and insults where they belong,
which is not on XDA!!
Please treat each other with respect, and if you can't reply in a polite manner, then please don't reply at all, and report these matters before they get out of hand.
Thank you for your cooperation, and a pleasant day to all.

AOSP Tweaks has this feature if you have lxposed. If you're running stock, it works quite well. I don't know how to get a link using my phone but you can find it by scrolling down a little ways.
Actually, I think think this is what you want: https://github.com/ElTifo/CustomSettingsForDevs/releases

That's not updated anymore, so if you need to use features that don't work on the more recent updates, AOSP Mods is the successor to that. The same two developers are both involved in the new AOSP Mods. There's also a GitHub link at the bottom of the OP of the AOSP Mods thread I linked to.
It's completely free other than if you feel like donating.
@finshan
Dang it. Sorry for screwing that up and thanks so much for clarifying. It's great app and the instructions are perfect for a layperson like myself to get it installed.
