I have read you will need to use MarketAccess or MarketEnabler to change to a US carrier.

Lol. I didnt shoot the video and I dont know who did I just provided the link. My roommate liked my Nexus when I bought it last week but when I showed her this vid she went to Verizon and bought one the next day!
A few Macy's in my local mall actually have a little advert on their little pay pads advertising the Nexus S and in big letters "Pay with your phone". Same with Jamba juice.
Works at Peets Coffee
No Problem at Peets Coffee in Los Angeles
Used it at Mcdonalds with no issue.
Used mine at Best Buy two days ago.

Looking to get the Galaxy Note 2 from T-Mobile today, however can someone confirm that it doesn't have this 'multi-task' sifebar? Wasn't this some type of OTA update recently from Samsung to add this functionality to the international versions?
Is this something we're going to have to wait six months to get?

Offically we might be in for a wait. However if some of the sensation developer come here its just a matter of days. Maybe even just hours if they can get there hands on the international update.

UK t-mobile lte note 2 came with the lastest updates that included the multi task feature
You are correct. There is no multitasking with this one. I was distracted by the other features so I didn't realize it until this morning.

That is confirmed with me as well.
What about the screen recorder? Does it work? The one I purchased for my wife will not be in until tomorrow at the earliest.

I was pretty bummed to discover no split screen on mine. was the first person in the East Bay to buy one yesterday. Boo!
Spoke with a T-Mobile service rep, and she told me that T-Mobile has no plans to update our phones in the foreseeable future. Nothing is on the horizon.

Most service reps have no clue about any update. I am sure Samsung will get this out soon if not we can always get it via root.
I expect 1-2 months. After that something is wrong.

90% of sales reps have no knowledge of phones whatsoever. The reps I went to didnt even know about the note 2 and those that knew didnt know any of the new features. It seems that they hire people that know how to sell and not people that know WHAT they sell

Talking about recording and not capture. Capture works, but recording doesn't. I have literally tried every combination to see if it works and also searched the tutorial on it. It doesn't work for me. My wife could care less though she enjoys the phone.

Those are two heavy features for me in buying the phone. I really like the size and the stylus, but multiwindow and screen recorder is what sold me. I will buy the Nexus unless the next update enables both features. They have a month for me to get the cash after dropping 700 for my wife to get this phone.

I just did a quick google search and apparently Samsung had to remove this feature due to copy infringement. Who knows if we will see it :/

Sadly something like that I shouldn't have to root for. If it is advertised I should have it on my device without having to root. I actually prefer not to root because there is nothing rooting does for me since 2.1.
Also I don't think it's a copyright or patent issue. Sony has open sourced their screen recorder and contributed to the open source community. So Samsung could use that much like CM has done for theirs.

You are so correct! There really is nothing i can think of that can talk be into rooting my GN2. I know, I know, CarrierIQ is a bad thing, but I'm now at the place where if I root my phone, I will loose the ability to use my new best friend which is the ISIS app. I'm one of the few individuals who live around the Austin Texas area, which is one of he cities that ISIS has rolled out. I have been depositing funds in my ISIS account, and using it for purchases like gas, and groceries. If I was to root my phone, I will loose ISIS, and the ability to watch movies from the Google Play store.

You can opt out of CiQ. It's on page 346 of the user manual. It doesn't specifically state that's CIQ, BUT that's what CIQ does for T-Mobile. CIQ isn't as bad a people think or claim. Due to HTC's bad implementation of the software given to them by CIQ they got a bad rap.
Why does the Need for Speed game link to a website with the date of Oct 30th? Are we not allowed to play it until that day? Makes no sense to me.

tmobile had no idea
Just got off the phone with tmobile level 2 support and they had no idea about the device coming preloaded with most wanted. He asked if I had receiced a free demo, but after explaining to hik that it was supposed to be preloaded and just not playable to launch date he said he had no idea and offered to give me samsungs number. Lame. I was really looking forward to playing this game without having to pay 7 bucks.
This is so lame. Thought at least a demo would be available for T-Mobile note 2 users.

I just clicked the link & it's working, now. It downloaded the demo (WiFi only). Sends you to Google Play to purchase the full version.
Lame, I thought it would be free promotion for the note 2 owners but I still have to pay to get full version!

Your Lucky you have sprint 4g, I only have verizon and at &t 4g in Nebraska. Kinda sucks actually. You'd think they would get those towers upgraded faster :/

It's like that here if you buy it on contract. The phone is more expensive if you buy it off contract, but then you can switch whenever.

There is no carrier that give us phones on contract which is cheap here in India so we have to buy unlocked gsm versions which are expensive plus we don't have Google services if we had it I would have definitely opted for a galaxy nexus or nexus 4 instead of the one v and the worst part is Samsung and lg don't release nexuses in India we do have the nexus 7 but it is priced double

Google must realize that India and China the most populated countries are the biggest markets for Google services.

I got a free Nexus 4 today. I helped a Rich Scottish guy at tmobile store I was at. He ordered Nexus 4 from play cause a friend recommended it...but didn't like it, came to see note 2 at tmo store, tmo reps were not being helpful because he was only looking for retail for his monthly 4G, anyways I showed him all the features, apps, every detail for our phone and then explained the difference from twiz and pure android. Schooled him for almost an hour. He was like I'm sold on the Note, but I can tell that you like this Nexus better so here its yours mate. Then he was like the charger and box is in my car. Opens his Audi R8 hands me the box! Now I'm rocking my Note and a free Nexus 4!!

Funny thing is, for those that don't pay attention, TMO followed up the $50/per "online deal" with a "free" deal the following weekend...
Yes, I would've still had to come up with the same $300 plus tax up front, but instead of only getting the $150 rebate (had I waited a few days) I would be getting $300 back (mail-in rebate), therefore only paying TAX!!!
If that is (hijacking?) "another's" post, or "flaunting" how rich "$150" makes "me" then yes, I guess, "I'm guilty"
