Hi erryone. i've a following problem with the new HOX.
one day i charged it till 100% and left it OFF.
the next day i tried to turn it on but nothing happened - it drained itself while it was OFF.
i charged again till 100% and the next day the situation repeated.
the battery drains while the HOX is off. this HOX was gaven as a gift and that fault is really embarasing me.
is it possible to solve?
First thing you should try is factory restore. Sometimes due to the bad app something messes up. Anyways if factory reset doesn't help then you should contact HTC

Look at your non-existent mobile signal... it's like dead... might as well use airplane mode.
And on the jellybean it acts like that. Please pay attention to the time from 1 am to 6 am, all this time the handset was charging

Try turning off the "fastboot" option under the power settings.
Something is keeping your phone up.. better post results from better battery stats..
Do one thing.. factory reset the phone.. and don't install a thing.. keep it idle for 2 3hours..if the phone shows a similar behaviour. Then it may be a battery problem.
Did that already. When I just bought the phone it had this behavior already.

You can see my kernel wake lock and screen on time and the awake time also... It doesn't make sense why the phone is awake so much.
Bbs:
I have this problem with stock and Franco.

Audio is caused by any sound so turn off the unneeded sounds in
Settings - sounds
Scroll right to the bottom and untick all but harpic feed back (you can untick this too) that should help with the audio wake lock.
As for the other two I'm unsure I've had them once before but restarting made it disappear maybe someone else has more information.

why don't you simply change the kernel? report your issue in that thread and while they're looking into it use another kernel

I've tried multiple kernels, I feel it might be the radio. How do I go about changing it or updating it? I never had this issue on stock.

Nothing seems off to me with your kernel wakelocks. In 8.5 hours those values aren't sooo weird. Check your partial wakelocks
I have just upgraded to JB from Venom 2.7.1. Kinda miss the Venom tweaks a lot. Is there any mod for the notification pull down where you can put pictures in the background or quick launch app or something like power widget stuff (where you can turn on/off wifi, data, etc..)
Not yet, Viper team will work on that after Offiial JellyBean release in Europe
Abandoned ViperX for now...had to try JB... try this for pull down (wifi on off...and other stuff)

use power toggles widget it has both Homescreen widgets and notification center widgets and it's fully customizable !
I'm currently using SwitchPro. It's extremely customisable and very battery friendly.
Here's how I've set mine up...

Yep! It's the by Leo. The only thing that I've found not to work is the flash/torch switch. I don't ever use that, though, so it doesn't bother me.

So last week i bought my wife a one x. It wasn't until last night she had to use the camera with flash and this was the results. The first photos is flash on. The second is flash off

. Now i bought this used so i don't think HTC will be much help. But i was wondering if anyone might have seen this before. I messed with different setting but this smoke effect on happens with flash on. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you might have.

Not too sure about the photo with flash, but the one without looks like you have a very grubby lens.
I think maybe that reflective road sign is showing how dirty the lens might be.
Give it a wipe with a decent micro-fibre cloth and see what happens.

So whats the solution for this? Im experiencing this problem too....
Can anyone tell me what this little icon means? It doesn't have a corresponding item in the notification area.
Is it related to that feature that keeps the screen on when you're looking at it, maybe? Screen shot attached..
Thanks,

That's the smart eye feature built in with the phone on stock or the ROM you are using.. Basically if you're looking at your phone, it will stay on as long as you are looking at it and thus you will see the "eye".
If you want a further explanation let me know. That's pretty much the simplest easiest way to explain it.

One more question.. Any idea what impact the Smart Eye feature has on battery life? My battery life sucks since the 4.3 update so looking for any way to make it better. Do you think turning this feature off would help?

Turning it off could help a little bit. I found that ever since I have gone up to a 4.3+ ROM, my battery life has been atrocious.

Only in so far as not having your screen helps save battery.
Get better battery stats and check your Wake locks and deep sleep time
