CM9 themes

Figured I'd get a thread going so we don't clog up aero's, bracket's or protekk's threads. Theme engine is officially live on cm9 and now AOKP... cm7 themes are working to an extent. Wanted to get this going to share what themes you've tried and how compatible it is. Specify whether you are on aokp or cm9, as they use different launchers.
There are 3 paid cm9 themes in the market by dev sonny sekhon (as of 5/9)... I haven't tested these, but you can read the play store comments.

Confirmed that androidian and the purple holo theme work on cm9, so appropriate credit to the OP of the linked thread and most importantly the theme creators.
I've also confirmed that an old favorite of mine, simpleBLU is working OK, although there is overlap between 3g icon/arrows and dbm signal strength... this seems to be the biggest issue with GB themes as I'm trying them, being that ics combines those icons...

also downloading the new update... currently at work right now but i get away with things here and there... just miss home, on a crappy deployment in Qatar lol
oh so since i have alot of time here when im off, can anyone point me in the general direction of learning how to compile to theme? i love messing with PS and im a quick learner
Note: havent done a google search or searched on xda so dont point fingers and yell "BLASPHEME!" i know how things go on here... i just havent ever had an account nor posted that much yet thanks hope to become a little more active here .... love the community... ok im just rambling now and getting WAY off subject...

I found them on droidpirate and then used desktop Visualizer to apply them.

Is there a way to edit the JB lockscreen "ripple" ?

you guys are FAR more advanced then I, but i wanted to know if there's a way to edit the "ripple" when you touch the lockscreen on JB to maybe have the four corners "ripple" out the nexus colors? (Red/yellow/blue/green) or maybe even make it ripple out a certain effect like a targeting system? Im just brainstorming at the moment and have a ton more ideas but what do you all think and if so where/who do I need to talk to about this?

The person to talk to is probably djdarkknight.. He has a thread over at rootz about modifying your frameworkres.. Idk about the four different colors, I just wanted mine all holo blue.. Still working on getting it to compile without errors..

thank you. Im sorry if I sound like an ass. I just didnt want this thread to end up like the old XDA (vacant)

CNA Rom

Not sure if many people were aware or not but Codename put out a ROM for our Sprint version. It's up on GOO and also if you just google Codename Android, his site will come up. Not sure why he didn't open a thread on here.
I ran his Roms on the Nexus and it was awesome, lots of customizations. It's more like AOKP as far as options as opposed to CM.
Edit: DO NOT FLASH YET, ISSUES BEING WORKED OUT.

Hmmm; I looked but don't see a Galaxy S3 version.
Its not listed on the web site either. Might you have the wrong forum??

Ran his roms on my nexus. Usually buggy but awesome ROM non the less.

Flashed ktoonsez kernel and it worked and gapps , only thing not working is 3g so far that I can tell.
never mind messed with the data settings and did a reboot and 3g is now working

i flashed todays nightly and everything so far works for me.
CNA was my favorite rom on the et4g
im glad to see it on the gs3

What bugs has everyone noticed? how does it compare to CM10 and AOKP?

Weird we all noticed this Rom without being told bout it, Andriod minds think alike I guess lol

We find our own way... we aren't sheep who have to be told when our updates are coming via a major conference. *looks at sheeple*

I've got something from codename, need someone to test with me. Can someone msg me for it. Looks to be data isn't working for me, want to make sure it isn't just me with this new build.

PGM2 for SGS3 (POLL)

Hey everyone
so i have been in contact with the dev of PGM2.. he makes a kernel mod that allows you to swipe to turn off/on screen etc instead of using buttons

i essentially was talking to him to see if he would be willing to make us an app for our sgs3 devices... as i personally hate using buttons for fear of them breaking or wearing out on me... so i wanted to do this poll to see who would be interested in this kind of thing...
the dev needs to gauge interest to see if people would even want it to make it work his time...
please people, make sure to vote and voice your opinions as i would LOVE to have this ported over from the nexus

I believe ktoonsez's kernel has this feature in the ktweaker settings if you want it that bad. A bit if a battery drain though

ya i know, but honestly its not as developed as the pgm2 one is... and to be honest, the KT one barely works... had KT installed and it never worked for me.. ive now moved to leankernel

Yea. I didn't figure it out too. Then I finally found out that you swipe across the screen to make it work. And I don't see YOU developing something to fix this, give thanks for what you have.

I dont have to develope anything. There is someone that is willing to port an already existing app to our devices. Don't have to be rude. I'm saying that the one in the kernel currently isn't developed to its full potential... a little competition didn't hurt anyone...

Personally, I like swiping the screen to take a screenshot, rather than locking the phone. Though perhaps this swipe could be from the bottom to top.. that would be quite interesting.

Screencast app won't start.

Anyone else on here use screen cast and got it to run? It used to work on my note 2 which is why I bought it and then nothing anymore. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and nothing. Also on cm10.1 it used to work but would be inverted. Still that was better than nothing now it just won't start. And worst seems the developer has stop supporting it not too sure on that though. It used to work on my phone though I think its a kernel thing but not too sure if anyone has it working please tell me how or what your set up is. It wouldn't run when I was using synergy or cm10.1 or paranoid android any help is really appreciated .

I've done that and still get mixed results it runs but won't save now and sometimes it runs and records colors inverted well just certain ones this is on cm10.1 I'll try it in a touchwiz ROM. Thanks for the help tho
