Different charger? - HTC One V

Hi Geeks
I have one simple question
i am using htc sensation and my wife is htc one V.
is there any problem when i charge htc one V with my sensation charger or, vice versa?
just want to make sure this.
thanks in advance!
:silly:

Should'nt be, I've used a sony ericson charger and it worked fine

cool, thanks!

I would suggest you first check out the ratings on the charger before trying it anything.
Like the charger if one v has got an output voltage of 5V and output current of 1A. If the charger you want to use had these same ratings, I would say no harm done.

that's a good thing to know too.

No problem as long as it is a mini usb cable and ask questions in the Q and A thread please

Please ask all questions in the Q&A section. Thread moved there.

Just check if the charger you are usinng as the same power output, then it won't harm.
I used a samsung charger for a while, it had different output, and it messed up my battery backup!

I've used Nokia's usb-chargers without any problem. USB is a industry standard, so it should not be a problem to use any make of usb-chargers.
Yes me too. If you look its a french version hence no original charger of the phone buy look at the box, thats why we have different chargers. I contacted them about this and there didnt seem to care that I ordered a HTC and received a motorola charger!!!!
As long as the voltage is the same and the mah is not over the max (1A) it's fine. Perhaps even higher amp chargers might work if it's the phone that controls the input. But 1A max just to be sure imho
Current does not matter, min 1A for fast charge, it is the voltage 5 VDC that counts. The phone internal battery charging circuit takes care of the current limitation.
mase they will send u 1 u w8 n c! bet one turns up at ur house in the NX week I didn't ask 4it it just turned up2day... ah well 1 4 in the office then

[Q] HOX Charger!!

one quick question..
does it make any difference if i use a samsung charger instead of the stock HTC?
am sorry if it is a noob question but i read somwhere in the forums where it was advised to use the stock charger but i was really not sure if it really makes a difference or no..
pls suggest..
As long as the output is stated as 5VDC you should be fine. Everyone in my office are always swapping/lending chargers from every type of android phone. I've yet to have heard of a problem. Samsung, Motorola, BlackBerry, Sony chargers have all charged my phone to date. Just output current that sometimes varies. A BlackBerry one is only 600ma so is quite slow to charge compared to say a HTC or Samsung one at 1A.
The ones you want to avoid are the cheap eBay ones. They have poor ac/dc converters and lousy regulation and smoothing which can cause battery heating and touch screen issues.

[Q] New Android Convert From Crapple. Please Help Me Find Chargers!!!

So no matter where I look, I cannot find good chargers for my GN2. Here I was thinking that I'd be able to use my 10+ white brick crapple charging blocks at 1A and here my awesome GN2 uses a 2A.
Now I understand that Apple swayed away from yet another standard and the pins need to be shorted in almost all car chargers in order for anything other than an apple device to accept an AC charge. Awesome.
I'm very happy that this huge battery needs a 2A charger but I'm back at square one. I need chargers... I need a lot. Please somebody point me in the right direction on what every android peep is doing to charge their phones on fast chargers... I am mostly in need of a car charger. Every forum I look at, the thread ends with no definitive answer...
Much thanks.

This is the charger that I use for my car charging needs. Ive had it for a couple if years and it has worked flawlessly. It also has an extra usb port for charging a 2nd device. I havent had any quality issues with mine like some of the reviewers have claimed. This works brilliantly with my Note 2. It can output up to 4 amps and charges 2 Note 2's with max screen brightness and GPS with no problem.

u have to ask but radio shack has a decent one and they are having a sale. and no i dont work for them lol. its a 2A 4port charger. also keep in mind the 1A will work its just not a rapid charger. as an over night charger it will still have enough.
Needs to be moved to Q&A section

the second one is for the samsung galaxy s, so I would buy the first one
both will do
I've bought the original Car Holder ECS-V1A2BE by samsung.
I prefer original accessories. It works fine but with the extended battery it won't fit well.
If I get a USB car adapter at 3A 5v would it damage the galaxy s2 as the original charger is 5v 0.7A?
no, it gonna work fine. 3A is max what charger can give.

The problem with samsung charger - not charging/breaks with HOX

Hello
I have two chargers: HTC (from ONE X) and Samsung (from ace 2), both are original.
Samsung charger charging properly ACE 2 (I'm moving plug, nothing happens), but when I put this charger to HTC, there is a small problem - samsung charger not charging, I must to gently move plug, to charge my phone...and watch out for the plug, to not to move.
I would add that, this two chargers / cables are working correctly, ports on phones also. I think that there is something wrong with the charger samsung ...or can not ?
I always thought that the microUSB charger are the same...
Sorry for my english and I hope I chose the correct subforum, if not, please move topic

Voltages are the same in samsung and htc one x , only difference is ampers , samsung have 0,75A , when htc have 1A.
I've found second micro usb charger from samsung (other model), and this one is charging correctly , parameters are worst than charger from ace 2 -4,75v and 0,55a.
