Hey guys any info on a clean Jelly Bean install for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (AT&T version, SGH-I317)? Ive looked into CM10, CWM and TWRP, but was looking for a straight clean install of the jelly bean os. I am not too concerned right now about spen support or spen apps.
Thanks for any info!

What do you mean by "clean"? From your context, it's a little confusing. Are you referring to fully restore the stock TouchWiz ROM? Or do you mean are there any AOSP ROM's for our devices yet? If you're referring to AOSP a.k.a. pure Android / NO manufacturer overlay(s), there aren't any for our AT&T G-Note 2's just yet. If you mean simply to fully factory format or return to factory stock, there are many places and/or threads explaining how to return to rooted/unrooted factory stock. Hope this helps!
Great info, I was actually looking for the AOSP full Google experience with no manufacture overlays. Hopefully we hear something soon. I'm not a huge fan of Samsung touchwiz. I enjoy my nexus 7 because of the clean Google experience.

whats the smoothest AOSP JB rom here for the GNex? I'm still in the process of rooting so I havent tried any. I just got the phone last night and my other was the NS4G. I see there are a few here but Im looking for people who have tried several.

Sprint Gnex, please? I like a pure smooth rom.
You're not going to get anything 100% stock considering you need to go to a custom ROM. Poke around the Sprint development section and see what people offer. Those ROMs are your only Jellybean option right now.

I went to Verizon store and they only have ICS version of GNex. I'm itching to move to GNex since I'm on SGS2 and totally hooked on pure Jelly Bean experience. I have CM10 installed right now but I'm kinda impatient to wait for the stable version Thanks!
Verizon version does not have jelly bean update yet, nor Sprint. Why don't you get one from play store and if you don't like it, just return it

The CDMA versions have perfectly stable, and I really mean perfectly stable 4.1.1 ROMs, including pure AOSP builds. Get one, unlock it, flash a 4.1.1 ROM of your choice, toy around, and if you like it you're good. If you don't like it Odin back to stock, re-lock the bootloader, and return it. You do get something like 2 weeks where you can return/exchange the device, don't you?

Oi. 14 days via Verizon.
Hi, I'd like to know if there's a rom of android 4.2 clean like the ones installed in the Google Nexus phones, without all the modifications made by Samsung (which I don't really like compared to the stock google rom) and without losing the stylus features, Thanks in advanced!

I would prefer to wait for an official release (but still, it's not clean), but late summer would be like end of july - september? is that rigth? thanks!
Cyanogenmod works fine. They do a few small changes, but they look the same. The stylus works, but the button don't do anything. You can download it here if you want to try: get.cm/?device=n7100
Make sure to do a backup first.
I have always run CM or AOKP ROMs on all my Galaxy phones. My wife has an I747 and did not like me "updating" her last phone to CM10. I am having trouble figuring out IF and which ROMs are basically the S4 ROM set to run on an S3? Are there any TW Base ROMs that I can give her an S4 in S3 clothing?
Thanks
Ken
WOW, no replies at all? Does the lack of replies mean there's not one or do I not rate an answer. Not looking for the "best" ROM. Just if there are any.

Look at Jedi Academy. It looks like the S4, contacts, dialer, msgs....etc.. Obviously minus the things that require hardware. There is a screenshots tab. Take a look. The most recent ROM is 'Jedi Master'. As far as 4.2 or 4.3 no. But you can have themed to look the same.
BTW Posting title for a different phone in this forum may stop people from looking. A clearer title may have helped. ie: "S4 style ROM for i747"

Hey guys, so recently I dropped and cracked my Nexus 4 and the digitizer stopper responding, and I was forced to sell it on ebay. I love the Nexus experience, and every phone I've owned to this date (Nexus or not) has run a stock Android ROM. So I was just offered a good price for a tmobile Galaxy S3 and I was wondering if there are and stock 4.3 ROMs for the d2tmo. The newest supernexus rom (v3.0) is not supported by the d2tmo, but is by the galaxy s2 i9100 which I am now considering because of that. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a ROM that provides an almost nexus experience for the US versions of the Galaxy S3. I have searched for hours and haven't found anything yet. Cheers!

The closest that I recommend to an up to date AOSP experience as closest to stock at the moment would be Vanir.

Thanks for the recommendation, I came across that ROM when I was searching earlier. Does anyone know why there haven't been many attempts at an AOSP stock ROM for this specific version of the Galaxy S3? Is it just an unpopular concept or is the hardware of the device difficult to develop on?

Been thinking about it too. Maybe because pure ASOP isn't too far off from Vanir and LiquidSmooth..
I miss SuperNexus too lol
Edit = Also Vanir is on 4.3.1

As far as I know they're both mostly AOSP. I could be wrong though.

Oh well, thanks for the help!
Be warned though, from what I understand the 4.3 roms are still buggy and some say should still be labeled as betas.

Is this only for the US variants of the GS3? Because besides liquidsmooth and vanir and a few others I haven't found many 4.3 ROMs anyways.

No idea, I don't keep up with the international model because most info you find for it is irrelevant to ours. You'll just have to read through their threads for answers about their models.

I'd say start with Galaxy S3 Resource Bible. Practically all the roms are listed there with a short summary or review.
There are 4 variations of this device in US. One for each carrier. T-Mo has a SGH-T999L as well as T999N. Those 2 have different radio antenna but rest the same. So if you check for roms on the 4 carriers sub forums, you will se plenty roms.
A lot of developers have made the roms for ATT Version SGH-I747. People realized it works just fine for T-Mo version. So these are called ATT/TMO roms. To my knowledge Slim, Illusion, Pacman and Liquid offer version 4.3 All of these are AOSP 'ish. I personally used to use Liquid but after a lot of shopping around, moved to Slim Rom. I am told KitKat version of Slim, the SlimKat is around the corner. Their current 4.3 version has been rock solid and is out for quiet some time. If you liked the Nexus experience, you will like Slim equally.
