Hi,
I have the sprint version of the Samsung S3. I have all ready flashed the phone over to verizon prepaid. The phone is working with talk, text and 1x data. I did use the Samsung fascinate to get my ha and aaa keys. I have the full version of cdma workshop. On the fascinate everything works great. So I that if I copied all the info and keys from fascinate to the s3 in cdma workshop that everything would work. It does not. The S3 says 3g the icon shows up. But when look at about phone the network status is 1x. Please help
Thanks
Try getting the ha and aaa keys from a Verizon s3? Idk, just thought I'd help...

If you get 1x, Just back the NV item from the donor in cdmaws. and restore them on the GS3.
unlock phone with spc
back up Nv items, 465,466, 1192, 1194,
(they contain HA and AAA passwords)
restore the four nv's on you gs3. Done.
please help me, i have a s3 and verizon prepaid i tried a lot of different setting i can get service/active
used a donor flip phone,
i tried the non-evdo and evdo prl , a nd b, sid only, cdma and hdr ,cdma only /, how do i get my min# i called them and asked for it and they gave me a number that starts with 0573563778
please mate
Okay well I got the real min from the donor phone , Verizon did not want to give them to me.lol. so I tried sooooooo many combinations and the answer is ,b then a, and automatic for the other 2 thingys, I got Verizon facaniate and was going to get the ha and award keys like you said although I was told my flashedphones.net that I would olny have 4 out of 7 of the authentication keys and would be getting my account terminatedas soon as a Verizon tech looked into my account and lose my phone number , and he can do it right with no worries about getting into trouble for $99 bucks although its been about a week now and I guess he is busy and not answering messages to get this done, so I am asking people here who has done the facaniate method mention above and not had any problems with Verizon closing their account. Please confirm that it is safe to use the method and not get your account terminated.

First of all, I would like to thank all the members on xda who have worked on the evo for metropcs! So, after countless hours of research and trial and error I was able to get my evo flashed to metropcs. As was doing this, I ran into a couple of problems/questions that I would like someone to address(or can redirect me where I can find that information):
A. It seems to me that most solution to "flash" a phone to metropcs assume that you already have tallk and text on your phone. Why?
B. To get talk and text I had to modify the nam settings and write a metro prl using cdma. I then had to pay someone on ebay to put the esn into metros database. Would the same settings apply to most phones(evo 3d, nexus, iphone etc) ?
C. Besides ebay, does anyone know where I can add ESN's into metro's database (I tried my local stores but they didn't want to).
D. This last question is just out of curiosity: I know metro has lte and sprint wimax and that's why the evo can't get 4g. But, what if we change the WiMax settings(in particular the NAI) on a flashed phone to that of a evo that is on sprint(of course with the person's permission). Would the phone get 4g from that person account?
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, But my question is I have been trying to port my SGH-L900 to straight talk, because in my area verizon is the best, and sprint is just crap when it comes to data and signal strength. I have everything working according to this guide, but for some reason the only data service I get is 1x and not 3g, I don't know if it is because of something with my data profiles, HA or AAA, or my DMU10 key? Any help would be appreciated, and Thanks in advance.
Bump, Anyone?

Confused...Straight Talk runs off AT&T & T-Mobile networks, depending on which SIM you order...they don't have anything to do with Verizon. Soooo...maybe not possible to get the Sprint Note2 flashed to Straight Talk with 3G?
if you want to use Straight Talk I would just but the International Unlocked version of the note2.
I used a LG220c witch does run on the verizon network, I had my galaxy S2 running fine on verizon, steps were to use a samsung fascinate donor phone, clone the lg220c esn and meid to the fascinate, then clone the fascinate to the S2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473141
Okay, I'm sure the information is all out there, so before I get told to search forums or google, I have. My issue is that I'm just having the hardest time putting all the scattered information together and understanding it. There's too much information to decipher whats needed, accurate andd up to date for my situation. So I was wondering if someone whose done this before could just give me the straight to guide.
I have verizon, my girlfriend has sprint. She broke her S4. I have an old verizon note 2 that is unlocked, rooted, custom recovery and on CM11.
What I need to do is get it on the sprint network and get her service switched over to it.
I know it has something to do with APN settings, but there's so many different ones whether it's for internet and MMS. I basically just want her to be able to use it to make phone calls and maybe regular texts. I got all confused when I saw things dealing with PRL and what not, so I don't actually know which things I need to make this work.
I put the sim card from her S4 into my Verizon note 2 and opened the access point settings under mobile network. There are a bunch of sprint ones in there now, I don't know which one to choose. I tried the one just labeled "Sprint" and then rebooted to get the APN settings to switch over but I still have no service to try and activate the phone.
So could someone please give me a simplified walk-through of putting in sprint's settings on a verizon note 2. I tried flashing a Sprint CM11 rom but it failed. So now i am going to try flashing a sprint touchwiz rom to see if that will make all the necessary changes for me.
Update: I Just finished flashing jellybomb touchwiz rom, it flashed but wont get into the phone setup, says there's an encryption error and the phone needs to be reset. I did that and it still does the same.
Thanks in advance guys, I've flashed a lot of roms, I've just never switched my phone to another carrier before.
You can't activate a non Sprint branded phone on the Sprint network. Period. The esn is not in the Sprint database and even if you wanted to use the phone strictly for traveling internationally, The sim card from Sprint will not work in the Verizon phone for the same reason. You'd have to "clone" the phone/esn and that is completely illegal. I would spend my time on craigslist or Facebook and try to trade your Verizon phone for a Sprint one. That's what I would do.
FYI . Verizon phones are actually in demand due to the much larger customer base so making a trade for a Sprint S4 or Note 2 should be fairly easy. But MAKE SURE you check the ESN with Sprint before making a trade because a blacklisted esn phone can NOT be activated and you will be SOL.
So only networks like at&t and T-mobile will work on my Unlocked verizon phone?

If you're referring to your Verizon phone being a "world phone" which does in fact have a sim card and gsm network capabilities, then technically yes it would perhaps be possible to get it to work on AT&T or T-Mobile onl;y but it would be very difficult and time consuming to unlock the sim portion of the Verizon phone and hack it so that it would not be rejected by either network due to the ESN. You'd have better luck trying T-Mobile because they seem to be more lax with unbranded iPhones etc on their network. But in all honesty you would be better off trading your Verizon phone especially if it has a clear esn and getting a phone that's ready to go with no headaches and fully functional on the network.
thanks for the replies
I got a galaxy note 2 with Sprint on it, and plan to switch over to Verizon wireless (I use one of those 3rd party companies that use Verizon lines) and I heard they don't like unlocked phones. I have a few basic questions, please note my phone doesn't have a SIM card. I like Sprint, but their coverage is more city based, and the problem there is I don't live in a city, and big red has got us covered under 4G LTE.
Will I be able to pick up a Verizon LTE service, I remember there was some sort of error with my older S3 and it roamed on a Verizon 4G network, i'd assume my Sprint note 2 can do the same, and is capable of picking up that signal.
Also, will the company be able to know I have an unlocked phone? Or will it assign me a new MEID with Verizon when I select that option, (Yes I know how to unlock, real simple process) And when I go to type in the MEID/ESN for activation, will it recognize it is on an unlocked phone, if so how do I fix that without doing anything illegal (Like changing the MEID, which is very complex, and illegal)
And will I be able to keep my current MEID I have on Sprint, if I select Sprint under the network options.
If you are confused on my wording, i'll be glad to help you out. Also if you know anything about the HTC One M7, will I be able to switch that over too, and would I also need a Verizon SIM.
Thanks for the help, I am not an expert so try not to be too complex, I also perfer to avoid CDMA tool if possible, I dread that software at times.
If there's also a way if 4G won't work to trick it into thinking I have a 3G only devise under Verizon that would be cool too. I don't expect this to even be possible without a dreadful process.
Bump, not sure if you are supposed to do this.
I have an unlocked Sprint Samsung S6 and I'm trying to get it to work on Verizon but it doesn't want to work. It shows an exclamation and R where the signal bars are. I have tried setting up the APN and a Verizon rep put the sprint phone in their system, but that didn't work either. Is there any way to get this to work? Do u have to flash Verizon's Rom to it? I noticed that even unlocked it still seems to have the sprint activation stuff..... Please help, scoured the Internet and forums to no avail :/
If you actually got the phone activated onto your line on Verizon, you will need the Verizon PRL on the device for it to show it connected natively to its towers (the 'R' is a roaming indicator...your device is seeing the Verizon towers as roaming since it loaded with a tower list with Sprint towers prioritized). Verizon is still CDMA, so you will need the proper PRL flashed to the phone for it to work, first & foremost, along with your NAM information and all of the Verizon data settings flashed in place of the Sprint data settings. With regard to CDMA switching from Sprint/Sprint-based to Verizon/Verizon-based, there is more to it than merely an ESN swap (activation by an agent) & inserting a SIM.
I am not here to hold your hand through the flashing of anything, but I'm letting you know what will need to be done. These phones have different model numbers for a reason (unlike "hybrids" like newer Nexus devices, newer iPhones & the recently released Moto X Pure). These different models are designated per carrier and the bundled carrier software for many CDMA devices is used in its OTA programming. Sprint devices typically are packed with MSL/SPCs unique to the device and needed to edit the internal NAM & data settings while Verizon branded counterparts have 0s instead of uniques codes. If this is all over your head, you may need to seek the assistance of someone or a company familiar with flashing to get you going if you are hellbent on using THAT device. Good luck.
worked for me but not stable
I also have the s note 5 from sprint and been trying to make it work on verizon. After so many tries in the mobile network setting i got it to partially work. it still have the R symbols on top, which shows your roaming but you will get a 3g speed. My current setting is
Settings>Mobile Networks>Network mode >automatic
Settings>Mobile Networks>data roaming>Roaming network>automatic
Settings>Mobile Networks>data roaming>Roaming guard> all off
Settings>Mobile Networks>data roaming>everything else on
you also have to use the verizon app settings.
i've also tried flashing the prl but had no luck. Any suggestion on how will be appreciated.
So, how about an idiot's guide for making this happen?
If I need help from a vendor, how about posting some referrals, what needs to be done, and how much is fair to pay?
I am a self-professed newb and I just want to take the Sprint S6 that I own outright to Verizon.
Especially because I paid full price for the S6, and Sprint's service sucks inside my building.
Thanks .
What VicFreeze said above is 100% correct, you would have to reprogram/flash the phones CDMA chip/radio and even Verizon will not be able to do so (legally or maybe not smart enough to know how), you want to be on Verizon you need to get one of their phones. Your phone is a G920P, the P is specific to Sprint and the phone has been flashed internally to know the MIED, MDM/MIN, PRL and login passwords for their networks along with the MSL Code direct from the Samsung factory just for Sprint.
So Yeah you can change all this by reprogramming the CDMA chip inside the phone, first you need professional software that will cost $$$ hundreds of dollars, software like CDMA workshop, QPST or DFS will work, learning to use this software is not for newbies, you will also need to get the information from Verizon to flash their carrier specific codes and numbers into the phone, it's not like swapping out your SIM Card like a GSM Phone and your on a different network, this is CDMA and its why Sprint/Verizon use this, its to lock you down. (no, that's not why)(LOL)
Just Google "Carrier programming on CDMA phones"..
I think it would be cheaper to sell your Sprint phone and just get a Verizon phone and save yourself a lot of hassle. Get a G920V, its already flashed with Verizon Codes to access their LTE Network from the Samsung factory (Hence the V is specific for Verizon). Verizon's sales staff might not even know what a CDMA phone is so would you really want them to reprogram it??

VicFreeze and MindTricks sound dead on in there advice. One thing I am pretty sure about unless someone corrects me is .... even though Sprint and Verizon are both CDMA, they operate on different frequency bands which is probably why your getting the 'R' for roaming. CDMA Workshop has the ability to change the radio frequency. I think the two companies also encrypt or code their voice and data traffic and you need the software flashed that has their specific decoders or encryption software for the device to work on their system. I am not sure if the specific radio software changes any of this or not. I am not even sure is CDMA Workshop is compatible with newer Samsung phones now as two years ago I programmed my Sprint HTC EVO 4g to work on my Virgin Mobile talk and text plan without much trouble but have not been able to get CDMA Workshop to connect to a Galaxy Grand Prime as of late. What I did two years ago was easier since Virgin runs off of Sprint Service Towers. Having a ROM compiled for Verizon may help but things have changed. What I did with the EVO two years ago ..... the ROM had Sprint radio files compiled with it. I am not sure if some of those files are separated in the system now on more modern devices as ..... back two years ago Sprint was EVDO and not their LTE uses a SIM card to work. So, things have changed and keep changing and evolving. One thing is sure, is almost every year Service Providers along with device manufacturers are changing what they do and how they do it.

That's what everyone would love to do but at times proves more hassle than what it is worth. this is why there are sites like Swappa and eBay where you can sell your phone for close to competitive price and pick one up a device that is a comparable condition for the service provider you want to swich to for about a break even price or not much more out of pocket.
I dunno if this thread is dead but process should go something like this.... flash factory binary firmware checking "auto-reboot, nand erase, and F.reset" options. Once it boots enable developer options and oem unlock and usb debugging (then do a factory reset from settings menu). Then you can flash the CSC from Verizon stock. Placing VZW .pit file in appropriate section. Then you can flash the BL,AP,CP files from VZW rom. Personally....this seems like alot of unnecessary work with a great chance for missing something. Might be better to root sprint device and manually install vzw modem files, apns.conf, prl, telephony.db.....better yet why not just flash a custom rom from twrp. thats just one zip file in twrp.
I don't know what I've done differently, but I currently have and use without any problems a Sprint G920P on the nations most reliable network… Verizon. I can tell you that I didn't have to jump through all or any of the hoops that others in this post have outlined. I will tell you what I did ; Flashed G920p with Bigdaddy PL3 Aroma V1.x ,TWRP-3.2.1.0, SuperSu-v2.82, and 3.10.61_Stock_Modified_Kernel_By_Aurora_Rom [email protected]#1. Phone has been unlocked by Idonne apps. I believe that last bit has a lot to do with my success. there is a setting in his app if the phone is to be used on a CDMA network or a GSM network. And not to discredit the person that discouraged you from having a Verizon employee help you but it was he that figured out how to make Verizons system find my phone. Not sure exactly what he did but I saw him take his company phone out of his pocket and scan the sticker on the back of it into the system saying "we will just make the system recognize it". Voila, worked perfectly and continues to operate without flaw on their network. I do get a roam "R", but checking settings indicates that I am not roaming. I live on the border to Canada so it is to be expected, but not the case. As far as Network, device says Preferred Network instead of Verizon. It could say your name for all I care as long as it works! Hope this sheds some light on it for you without having to make all of those unnecessary changes. One last note.... the salesman did say that mine is the first Sprint Device that he has seen on their network.... I guess that makes me special huh? Lol...
