[request] CM10 mms.apk to Official JB Rom

I already tried but I'm receiving all the sms in separte threads. I replace SecMms.apk and the SecExchange.apk, I did this same thing with ICS and CM9 mms.apk and no single issue.
So the question is, what im doing wrong? or What else i need or remove in order to receive the messages in one single thread?
Thanks in advance for all the help that you guys could bring me in here.

I would like to know the answer too as has the exact same problem with Omega JB v27.. thanks.

Big fan of stock MMS.apk...especially the hacked variety without the horrible smiley key!!

i had the same problem....with no solution yet

I could live with the horrible Stock mms.apk except if I know how to disable it's delivery report tone.. It's too annoying..

Just disable auto retrieve on the default messaging application and you have an identical and working replacement. No need for any dev work.

Its good but doesnt has the required features.. you can't hide senders name or hide the preview of the message etc.. but I guess it will be improved.. in any case something is better than nothing.. thanks again..

It just installs like a normal APK. I;m not sure of all the new features, I know they optimized the UI, not sure what all they changed.

As far as I can see from playing 5 minutes with it, only the driving mode is different.
Makes sense since they mentionned on the launch of the S4 that the app was now called S Voice Drive (or something like that).

I'll rehost it for you on my own server - so we don't have to keep dancing with file sharing hosts..
I have unmetered bandwidth so we shouldn't have to worry about links dying and what not..

I pulled these from the system dump. I have a feeling that the AccuWeather app doesn't work on out phones. There was only the weather.apk and the weather deamon.apk.
Since it was a odexed ROM did that mean they had to have their odex file included and only worked on a odexed ROM ?

[MOD][APP] 4.2.2 NEXUS 4 | Exchange Email with Disabled Security Permissions

Exchange Email APKs for Nexus 4 4.2+ stock with security permissions disabled.
PLEASE READ THE FULL POST...ITS ONLY A FEW LINES!
Created using rustamabd's method, Full props to him.
Circumvents PIN AND Encryption requirements.
Created from stock and CM10.1 images, cannot confirm that it'll work on other ROMs.
UPDATEs:
5/8/13:
added CM10.1 compatible APKs
9/9/13:
New: Patched de-odexed STOCK 4.3 APKs added. Also, things were getting kind of busy, so I put the apks in a zip thats named per version, that was there's none of this renaming BS.
12/16/13:
Added CM10.2 compatible APKs
1/4/14
Added CM11 APKs
2/18/14
Added PA4 APKs
Tutorial:
Force Stop Email, and Clear Data.
Using Root Explorer (or something like it), go to /system/app and rename EmailGoogle and Exchange2Google apks and odex to EmailGoogle.apk.backup and Exchange2Google.apk.backup, etc (always important to have a backup that way you don't F everything up)
Download and unzip appropriate archive for your OS version
Move the files to /system/app
Set permissions to rw-r-r-
Reboot device
Note: You will have to allow activation additional security permissions when Email asks for it. But you should not be required to encrypt your device or set a PIN. Also, you will have to reload all your email info after this.
As always: for educational purposes only, can get you fired, jailed, tortured, etc. Use at your own discretion.

Basically stock email app may force you to set a security pin/pattern due to corporate security policies. This effectively makes any of your lock screen widgets, slider shortcuts unusable. This mod will allow you to bypass the exchange security requirement from exchange servers.

The difference is that this one works, lol.
The .apks in that zip are incompatible with the 4.2.2 stock. There are a lot of ways to skin a security permissions cat, so if that one works for you by all means...

Haven't tried it yet but has anyone noticed battery drain with this version? I stopped using the one in the other thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1749921) because it caused alot of wakelocks. Exchange Services became my 2nd highest battery drainer

Yeah I read about that on that forum. Supposedly it has to do with incomplete syncs with the exchange calendar. I never experienced the drain, but disabled exchange calendar sync since I don't use it that much anyways. My battery life has been reasonable, roughly 10 hours with moderate to heavy usage, 14-18 if I'm not on it a lot.

Anybody else on 4.2.2 gets' the "Couldn't open connection to the server" with an Exchange account? I get that very frequently and sometimes it decides to work.

You have to clear your current exchange account and set it up again AFTER you have replaced the files from this thread and set the appropriate permissions. It works quite well, specially also because it ignores the need to encrypt the device. Suberrrr!

I did. I followed the instructions exactly. My issue is at the very end of email setup, it forces me to set a pin still.

Just tried this out today. The files worked great with PACman ROM. It asked for permission to become device administrator, and then to enforce security polices. I allowed both, but it actually didn't enforce any new security polices that I could tell. My email syncs now. Thanks!

Try redoing the steps.
1) system>apps>email and force Stop and Clear Data. Do the same for exchange if it's running.
2) replace EmailGoogle.apk and Exchange2Google.apk in /system/app with the attached files from the OP.
3) change permissions to rw-r-r
4) restart device
5) setup your email. It will ask to activate permissions like pin and encryption, but once you click activate, your email should work fine.

Google Home Launcher. Files and instructions. Should work on most Jelly Bean phones.
Download the files.
1st - PrebuiltGmsCore.apk (Google Play Services) first.
2nd - Velvet.apk (Google Now)
3rd - GoogleHome.apk
Place the lib file in System/lib folder and fix permissions (owner , group and others should be checked under READ)
(ONLY owner should be checked under WRITE)
Reboot.
Thats all I did. If OK Google doesn't work do this.....
Settings - voice - offline speech recognition- install language of choice. I use English. - switch to english UK and perform a search and then swich back to normal language. That shoult make everything functional. If not.....I tried. Works for me!

So when I tried to install PrebuiltGmsCore.apk, it said "application not installed", but I went thru and installed everything else, rebooted and it seems to be working ok. Should I be worried?

This hack is awesome. Makes the ROM 2 x faster.
One other question,
I've noticed on my home screen tile it doesn't have number indicators next to the stock e-mail and SMS icons to show how many items are unread. Is this by design? Any way to fix this?

i believe that is how its designed.. hopefully they will add that feature at a later date

How to make the status bar transparent?

Has anyone been having some random reboots? Seems to happen when the battery gets lower then 10%. Happens maybe once a day.

Thought I shared this. This is a stock 4.3 SecMms.apk with:
No text logs (under phone logs).
Screen On/Off toggle.
Ability to save text messages to the SD card.
Just flash the zip in recovery.

No tge problem is that the stock sms sends them as mms instead of sms. For example my gf has an iPhone 5 unlocked. For some reason she cannot receive pics I tried apn but no luck. So when I send here emoji she does not get them. But if I send them through go sms or another third party sms she does get them because they send them as regular message instead of the picture msg which is what the stock does.

Ah, interesting.. That might be difficult to smali hack. I think Samsung does that so people like my step mom with a 20 dollar tracphone will still be able to view the emoji. If i have free time i will see what i can figure out.

Or maybe just implement the new twist enojes into go SMS I've tried everything and no matter what I can never get the app to install after making changes to it. I would prefer this since I love go SMS but I'm just tire of iPhone emojis

I could try that. If i get time, right now my laptop's USB ports are not working at all, so i can't do anything in terms of debugging modding and hacking. Which sucks cause i need to fix my ROM -.-

Take your time bro. Honestly it is a hard task because GoSMS has the plug-in and they renamed the emojis all to gosms names but im sure it is possible.

Yes renamed them all I believe correctly. I noticed that the go SMS emoji only had "goemoji" than the same name. So I just, ran a batch to add that in front of every png. Hopefully they were all correct. I sent him a PM. So let's wait and see what he says
