Has anyone else noticed that if you do the easter egg to show the Jellybean Logo, then long press it to play the jellybean swipe game, it unlocks the 'BeanFlinger' option to set as your phone's daydream? (For those that don't know about the other eastereggs, go settings > about phone > tap android version a few times until the jellybean shows up, long press the jellybean and play the game for a bit. Afterwards if you goto the daydream options 'BeanFlinger' is now one of them.)
Nice find!

If you are familiar with using 7zip you can edit the easter egg in the systemui.apk (they are in drawable/nodpi folder)

Never said I didn't know about it, just that I had never seen it before, and I was pointing out that it is still in the 4.2 Bean Flinger. Try to read the forum rules on flaming and being a general all around douchebag. It will help you in the long run.

I am wondering if there is a lockscreen replacement that actually displays the calendar or other cool stuff.
Something that works like lockinfo or intelliscreenx for iphone.
Thanks
Try widgetlocker. You can change your lockscreen and also add widgets.
Here's the thread for widgetlocker themes

Go locker from market
i was looking for tge same thing.....i am a former iphone user. and youd think with all the devolpers android has ,some type of lockinfo clone would have been devolped. but through my personal searches the closest ive found is "executive assistant" which is free in the market. it comes kinda close but it could be cleaner for my liking.

I hate that....does anyone know what I'm talking about? When u are doing ur thing, searching and using the phone and what not...then u open ur app drawer and it lags kinda...it stutters! :/
I don't use a LWP either...
Sent from my Nexus Prime
are you rooted? you need a ROM that has the fastkey softglow mod.
In AOKP, you can turn it off and lag is gone.
I'm running that rom....imma try! I didn't know that!

If not, I'd definitely try using Nova Launcher

That's odd, it should take into effect immediately. Do you have any themes or mods flashed over it? You may need a clean build.
Also, are you on the stock kernel (one that comes with AOKP) or a custom one?

I agree w you on all points. Take it from an iphone user 3 phones ago and never looked back after my first evo. To me the iPhone looks like a dumbed down phone with o customization other than case. Ugh!

Did you try to push it into system apps with a root explorer? Usually a parse error happens if you just try to hit "install" without pushing first.

I'd assume it needs the framework from Jellybean to work. I don't think this'll work on any other version of Android at this point.
I've seen devs pull off some awesome stuff, it would be cool if we could get this working without JB
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I9250 using Tapatalk 2
didnt someone get the widget tomwork on ics?
*edit*
Sorry that was the song search widget
The problem of pulling it from GNex is jellybean is sdk=16 while we on ICS sdk=15. That's why there is a parse error when trying to install. Needs to be made backwards compatible by a modder to work on anything but JB.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
We need the new SDK, which is not released. Once it is released I believed it will work.

Yep noticed that too. Takes about a half second to trigger the crt animation after you pressed power button and the animation itself is much quicker

paste this line at the end of your build.prop "debug.sf.electron_frames=1" to disable crt animation

Maybe this is to fix how it looks on LCDs.. It always looked a bit awkward on my Xperia Play, you could see the screen turn off after the animation, made it look unnatural.

Most likely, being that the latest nexus is no longer amoled
I can confirm this on my i9250. It did this same thing on my G2x on all the CM-based custom ROMs I used as well.
Its always been fast, im still on 4.1.2 and the screen of animation is very fast, how faster can it get?

On 4.2, it has gone from fast to "too fast to enjoy".

What do you mean w/o dev options?
About Phone, fast tap 7 times on the Build number --> you are developer now!
I remembered how to multi-click the "About phone" to get the dev options to appear, so i did the same on everything else, when i got to the android version button (4.2.2) i got this beautiful animation
[EDIT]:. (I would put screenshots but i get an error msg saying i cant because my app is out dated! wtf xda.. i JUST paid for your premium app about 20mins ago...)

The "Android version" easter egg has been there since the days of 2.3 Gingerbread
and if you didn't figure it out yet, after opening this easter egg you'll find an option to use the beans as an option for Daydream mode under the Daydream settings.
