No man
I asked if it is possible to backup those downloaded maps for use if I change ROM or reflash my device.
Nandroid backup is not backing up the downloaded maps

Sorry for understanding you wrong.
I don't have the device in front me now (in SC) but could you check under Maps folder in My files? There should be a file called 'offline cache' or something.
I will confirm when I get back mine.

[Q] Why ar my apps not redownloading?

I've been swapping between a few different roms to find which best suits and want to stick with miui as it seems to work best with my sony liveview watch.
problem is that when i set it up the marketplace doesn't automatically download my apps that i've had on other roms and using one of the free backup apps and then restoring means the apps don't show up in my apps in the market so won't update.
on other devices i've had to alter the build.prop fingerprint and that's sorted it but no luck this time. in fact the miui /system won't mount as RW so had to use adb to push a revised build.prop to try.
is there a backup app that will show my installed apk's in the market or a trick to get the market to redownload them anyway?
better yet is there a way to use the bluetooth files from miui on cm7?
Try wiping the dalvik cache from recovery console. Also try to install anything from the market, this sometimes prompts it to reconnect your account

Also remembered that titanium backup has a fix broken market links if you have been using that as your mode of backup. Try all of these option and hopefully something will work

hi
cheers for the tips. already tried the dalvik cache and downloading something to kickstart it but no dice
i'll try out titanium and see what happens
only the apps you downloaded via market are re-downloaded. If you got some .apks and installed them on your own they are not downloaded.
And remember to check "backup my settings" under privacy. Check "backup and restore" when you flash a ROM.
cheers for the tip
they're all from the market so crossing my fingers for when i get a chance to try later.

Automatically Saving Apk from the Play Store

Hello here
is there any way that the apps that we download from the Google play are automatically saved on my sd card so that i dont have to download them..thnx
Use some app like app backup and restore from play store.
U can use rom toolbox..

The closest thing I think would be a Backup/Restore tool like Titanium Backup (though root is required) http://matrixrewriter.com/android/
Use appinstaller you can backup your roms with it which will create a apk
Sent from my DHD supercharged with ICS.
There is an app called Auto App Organizer. Free and paid version. Makes a backup of apk at either install, uninstall, or both. ROM toolbox does as well on uninstall.
If you are rooted, grab Root Explorer (file manager), go to root of phone (not sd), open "data" folder and then "app" folder.
You'll find all your apk's there.
Use apk extractor its free easy to use.

I don't know of any applications that automatically backup .apks when they are intially downloaded from the Google Play Store, but Go Backup will let you schedule regular automatic backups. It can do .apks alone without root, and .apks+data with root.
Use an app that backs it up and restores it

Auto App Organizer does this at installation, and also at uninstallation.
It will categorize your apps, keep track of when there are updates ready, etc.....
You would think I am selling this app, but I use titanium backup. This one is automatic at install. You don't have to do anything but set your preferences. It takes it from there.
It is exactly what you are looking for.

How dafuq do I restore from Google Drive on TB?

I backed it up a few days ago... but have no clue on how to restore it. I hit run under schedule and it seems to have moved the correct files to my internal storage, but the apps aren't on my phone. Even when I go to restore, it doesn't show the apps on GDrive. Did I miss a step?

I couldn't find a way to automate it with Dropbox. I just copied the files from Dropbox to PC, then to phone via USB. Then I restored from that.

Go into batch jobs and select a restore job. Make sure that your filters include uninstalled apps, or it won't include them when calcualting batch job possibilities.

Can someone please help me? I have all of my backed up info on Google Drive from TB. I moved that info from Google to my phone and have tried to batch restore, but it keeps showing 0 files. Please help as I have a lot of apps and data backed up and I don't care to start over. I purchased the TB Pro app for just such an occasion and now I can't use it.

When you say from Google to your phone, do you mean to your Titanium Backup directory in the SDcard?
Check the backup directory on the Titanium Backup main screen and confirm that that is where your backup files are.
And try the "Refresh Apps list" option in the menu.

Make a backup in TWRP, copy said backup to your PC, profit.
Note: I gave you this type of answer because it's the most direct. If you have specific parameters, please specify
But I can't find my device under that list, TWRP doesn't seem to support GNex i9250. What other backup & restore options can I use?
You got clockworkmod? If so, backup using that for apps and data, and you can drag and drop files from sdcard.
If you have stock recovery, on do adb backup.

Angry Birds Star Wars Free/HD

I got the HD version of ABSW for a buck on the Play Store but I was trying to figure out if my save game from the Free version is compatible. Only problem is I cant seem to find it and Titanium Backup cant (as far as I could see) restore data to a different app.
Anybody have any suggestions?
Getting Tibu to install the data may be difficult. that said you can probably manually restore the saved data. its worth a shot. I remember once my Tibu data got borked so I was able to take some from another device manually and place them in teh proper folder. Dont ask me what is was. It was a while back and ive been drunk since.
I was trying to find the save fame file was but I can't seem to find it.

Try this: Long press the App in Tibu, select "send latest backup", then select "Data only (easy import)" and send it via email to yourself. Then backup and uninstall your non-hd version of angry birds, leaving only your hd version on your phone. Finally, open the attachment to your backup email above, and it should add the data to your hd version.
I did that and it just restored the backup I made of the ad infested version. I did look at the emailed backup info and is named com.rovio.angrybirdsstarwars.ads.iap-20121220-150323.TiBkp so I figure i need to change the file name and place it in the Tibu folder?
(trying that right now)

If it is a data only back-up, and you have uninstalled the other version, I thought it may restore the data to the hd version?
