TBPro not working - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

First, thank you MSKIP for the great instructions and
wwjoshdew for the great video on how to root my NoteII.
I finally retired my launch day Evo 4G which was running MikG rom after Myn left us
Titanium Backup shows the right "number" of elements on the card but doesn't show that I have any backups although I did my last one at the Sprint Store while the rep was pulling out my new Note
Anyone know how to get it working? Is it a problem related to coming from HTC to Samsung? Do Ihave toformat the sd card while in the Note?
Lastly, if I was an avid warm and MikG fan, what ROM should I start with?
Thanks guys

This belongs in Q&A. Put your flamesuit on.

The Note 2 has a virtual SD card. Try to go under settings, backup location, search entire phone. It should find your backup files.

Had the same issue.
Just go into settings and set the backup location. Browse to it through storage -> ext-sdcard and you'll find your backup folder on there.
Hope this helps!

I have the same issue but can't figure the way to search for ext-sd card.

Calnurse dante, thank you.
I think I need to learn more about this virtual sd card. On the Evo4G it was either sd card or internal memory.
Anyway, I just moved the entire TB folder to the other card.
That did the trick

SD card 'died' possibly what to do??

Hey all, nothing that is SD card related can be found, used, played etc.."this has never happened to me and don't know what to do)if so what do I do?? Get another sd card and be fine or??? Bcuz I am thinking of replacing this g2 with another but since my sd card seems shot does that mean I can't or re-root because I don't have the contents that came with the root?? For example "busy box" heard that was important
Ps. I have backup roms but don't know how to put it on the what seems to 'dead' sd card.

Dude, you already started a thread on this; if you haven't gotten an answer yet, reposting a few minutes later isn't going to speed up a response!

Well excuse me.. surely didn't mean to 'troll' or annoy any cyber geek(you).. I simply re-worded my orginal question and hoped for better results.. Sorry for such a senseless crime..

Better results? Your original post was only up for a few minutes; if you wanted to re-word things for clarification you should have just edited your original post (afterall, having only been up for a few minutes, no one probably saw it yet anyway).
For future reference, take a look at the forum rules (in particular #5 and number 2.6): http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=829

Can you somehow connect your sd card to you computer and back up important data?
Then I would format the sd card and try it again...

Out of space with over 3gigs left??

Why am I getting an error when trying to restore my apps? I have more than 3 gigs still on my sdcard.. infact all storage locations have plenty of space left.. how do I fix this?

The developer section is not the correct one? What section do you suggest? And if you're a mod why don't you put it in the right section?

format sdcard.
There's a folder on the sd card called LOST.DIR try and see if there is a crap load of random files like 8082 938 etc and delete them all I had over 4gb+ of those worthless files

WOW wrong forum all together this is the epic4g not the touch I'm suprised the rep for sprint didn't even notice LOL Fail....
Sent From My "epic" SPH-D700 via XDA Premium
Yes this is not the Touch forum. But when you restore apps they go on your phone storage not your sd card. You should restore half of them and then move as many to sd card as you can then restore the other half.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
What is that lost dir used for? What kind of files?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Its for lost/trash files when connecting to your computer and there really just trash so delete them if you got any

Actually most of those are corrupted files from you doing a battery pull or from your phone just spontaneously rebooting... I have recovered pics, music files, and all sorts of stuff from the lost.dir file...

No, you back it up first then format then restore. But first, don't you have the Epic Touch? This is the OG Epic with the keyboard. That is what was originally meant by wrong section. Also your out of space message refers to phone memory not sd card memory. If you restore too many apps there is no room on phone memory for them all especially if there were a bunch moved to the sd card. This is why I suggested restoring half or so and move as many to sd card as possible then restore the rest.

thanks for that response, my bad on the thread, for some reason, I thought I was in the epic 4g touch thread..
Just to clarify though, even if when I look in my storage settings and all three locations have at least 3+ gigs available, this is my situation.. Its just confusing when I get that error, and check my storage and it says I still have plenty available..

You want to look at phone storage. I am reasonable sure the Touch only has 1GB for system and app storage.

About Nandroid Restore

So I had a White GS2 and the screen cracked. Today I received another white one from insurance. My question is after rooting the new one can I just insert my Mirco Sd card (which is where i usually save my Nandroid backups), and restore the data from the old phone to the new one? They are exactly the same phone.
I think it will work but i am still being careful.
So do it or not?
Thanks
How many apps are we talking about? How much customization? I don't think I would. Did you make titanium backups or use mybackupro? Have you synced with google? I always tell people to go for it. But I don't quite trust sd cards for this purpose. Someone please prove me wrong I'll have more ringtones etc.

I would say yes...I have also done this before when i had the sgs4g.
But all in all it is on you whether or not you want to do this.
There shouldn't be a.d. issues but just remember you assume all responsibility fur anything that happened to you phone
Let us know how it goes
I will rather use titanium back up to restore apps but not restore from CWM.
Backing up apps on google will give you apps only not data of it. So titanium is better option.
I have switch 3 phones using titanium backup.

[Q] Exchanged Phone. Will nand backup from previous phone work?

I searched for this answer, but couldn't find it. I had to exchange my galaxy already and I was wondering if my nand backup from my defective phone would work on my new one. Seeing as how they are the exact same and they are both the ones MFG in China. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Obviously after I'm rooted and have the recovery on there. Thanks for looking.
I just don't want to have to start completely over. If I have to then I have to, but if I can just do this then I will. I would rather get some feedback before I just jump into it and then have to exchange the phone again, lol.
In my experience u can. It's the same phone. U shouldn't have any issues

yes u can. i did it and had no problems. my nand was saved on my sd card not internal so i had no issues.
I backed up my nand backup from my internal and had no issues either. So if anyone else was wondering this, it does work. I've been using my backup for a full week now with no issues!!! Thanks again guys I really appreciate the quick replies!!!

[Q] best way to back up internal memory card?

Does anyone know of an app or anything that can make per say like flashable image of your internal memory? Just got my replacement today and it would take forever to use MTP to back it up.
I tried dd but don't have an external memory card big enough.
Unless I use my flash drive via OTG.
How would I go about flashing the image back to my new internal memory?
I also can use mkyaffs2image.
Just pondering some ideas guys. Thanks!
