I present you with Why Not v1.0
Hello all, I have been theming, tweaking, and compiling ROM's for myself since the OG Droid on Verizon.
I have never really posted any full ROM's up for public use before just some themes, tweaks, and mods. But seeing there is not a ton of ROM's out for the Note II (yet) I thought I would post the one I made and have been running for a few days.
This is the ROM for the person who likes the stockish look/feel but with a few extra things tossed in
Whats included...
LJC Base
De-Odexed
Lots of bloat removed
360 Rotation in framework
TW launcher 4x5 home & 5x5 drawer with scrolling wallpaper
No boot or shutdown sounds
Custom boot and shutdown animations
1% battery mod with circle honeycomb icon
Camera sound toggle enabled
Camera while on call enabled
init.d support with tons of performance/speed script
(still testing and some may be pulled)
Solid black status bar
4-1 reboot option
Android 4.2 keyboard
Gmail 4.2
Extra ring/notification tones

Worked gps.conf file (as close to an instance lock as you can get)
MultiWindow mod to include all apps
Removed the "tint/shading" from notifications in the left side of the notification bar

miui locks work but when you plugin to charge and your in miui lock it will read either connect charger or charging(1%d%%) this is being worked on so please be patient.

oh and i included the int.d scripts from caulklins rom with this thanks allot to caulklin for letting me use them! so if your on a stock rom this will drastically change the performance and make it allot like caulklins rom minus a fw things! not sure if this is compatible with anyother roms as i havnt tested except on stock rom!

be advised this mod was re-created for aosp so you may see some functions in tsm parts that are not available for our phone! But! with sBrissen's help and my persistence i was able to bring most of these features to the epic touch 4g!
Note: this took allot of work, i literrally worked day and night to bring these features to the epic. the work was very extensive so please give props where its deserved and dont ask for src cause i dont have it!
i will not be posting a stock version. if you want to use this mod in your theme or rom you are welcome to it. all i ask is that you give credit where its due and ask for permission! if not then you will be speaking to admin!

instructions to flash:
1.install thru cwm recovery
wipe cache and dalvik!
1. for best results do a factory data reset in cwm (recommended)
2. flash rom reboot
3. go back to recovery and choose zip and flash mod

Recommended flashing procedure for New Install
In recovery Wipe Data/Factory Reset

If you are updating to the 9/21 zip just "dirty flash", no wipes needed.
Since I am using a AT&T kernel you will see a kernel boot screen that says I-747, that is normal and left as a kudo to nunhugger.

Be sure to check out the included Notifications, Ringtones, Alarms, and Fonts. It gives you a little more customizing options.
Go into settings/Developer options, change Window animation scale and Transition animation scale from 1x to 0.5x for a faster feel.

Media Hub Apk just download and install, it will tell you you need a samsung account apk, install? Hit ok and you are good to go.
Accuweather zip you have to extract it, then put it in your system app folder and change permissions(hold down the app and you will see permissions) first row across (owner) check the first 2 boxes. Second and third rows across check first box (read) only. You need to download a root file manager, Root Explorer from the market works well. No need to reboot, just go to widgets and place on screen. This is all from your phone.
To get your google search widget working, just install the google apk below.

Just fyi Exajoule is compatible with rehpyc's theme system. You lose the animated pulldown and the flashlight toggle but works very well, no issues. I will add this to the op later, when I get home. Mo options=mo better.

worked like a charm. also i tried replacing the boot animation.zip with another. but all that happen was i saw the i47 logo thingy and then black screen until it booted. any ideas?

You might try a few more times, I have included most internet tweaks, internet system may be pretty busy right now keep checking and update with results. The boot animation needs to be around 205 or so images as far as I know.
I liked some of the bloat. Could you have a zip of it pretty please?

i tried 11 times max i got was 3.7mbs and the boot is around 150 but the thing is Ive changed ever boot animation on other roms without a problem

I found this in the t-mobile section..it uses aroma installer through your recovery..check his work out so far I themed my dialer, status bar icons, samsung keyboard color, ...here ya go...dont forget to thank him!

Hey dafox..not sure man..this guys mods are not for the toggles. The same dev does naje a awesone theme that works our our device ad well...has alot oc choices of colirs for the toggles...did u see the other thread of this dev here?

Not sure. I flashed the 15 toggles then flashed a theme and it kills the reboot toggle for some reason. Or, I get the toggles working and the status bar goes stock. No biggy.

Flashing multiple mods is hit or miss cause they all mess with the system ui, gotta choose wisely lol!
I'm mixing and matching theme elements, modded status bar from this, status bar transparency from the other. I already had the 15 toggle mod installed, didn't theme it with the aroma installer, it still works.

Same her 9wire...I havent tried the 15 toggles though I left stock..but kinda been building like yourself here and there..looking good so far... Am gonna try the 15 toggles now though..
It does matter the order you flash stuff, this theme changed my status bar icons, but I lost transparency, I can just flash the trans mod after the aroma installer and have its icons on a transparent status bar though, you can even do it in the same session.
I'm on the modded 7105 multi window rom, and the 4 way restart works.
I did something dumb just now, was changing my wallpaper with an app, thought I somehow borked my statusbar, what I did was make a screenshot my wallpaper.

I fixed the link to the 1st post...the op themes are through aroma thrugh cwr or twrp.. It allows you to manually pick whatever color theme to a dialer or keyboard or whatever is in his theme.. That dialer is stock just themed yellow..
My dialer and keyboard, I found an aosp browser that works, too.

No problem. I've never released a rom since it is so involved. What I do takes up plenty of time as it is. I'm looking forward to checking out aroma though. Let me know if you get stuck with something I can help with. You're welcome to use anything that's already been done. The ink effect fully working is a different animal of course.

I'll definitely take you up on that offer. I've been having a problem using vrtheme with aroma lol. I know it's probably some small mistake somewhere...
I also wouldn't mind using that extended power menu mod .

I grew really tired of doing the extended power menu anyway. My way is not too difficult and it looks much more natural and is easier to use. Plus you have an easy guide to go by now too.

If you choose apex or nova you can choose to stop the wallpaper scrolling. If you really want tw launcher I can put together a zip that gives you the stock launcher .

I just received this phone so IDK if anyone made this mod but has anyone modified QSlide yet? Here's what I got so far, it's very similar to Samsung's Pop Up Feature

Q-Slide on the stock notification bar I don't think so, but their are some modded notification bars that include the qslide apps, check out the Vectus thread over in the Development forum, it was done by LRod. There is also a similar toolbar mod from the AT&T version of the LGOG that works. Its what I'm currently using until LRod releases a transparent version. Thanks for the lockscreen mod!

Thanks for letting me know. I usually just write tutorials and let folks do it themselves but since there's a lack of development right now and I have this phone for the next two weeks I figured I would do as much as I could.
I'll post a zip tomorrow for the stock mod thanks again.
What about center clock, 3 way reboot, MMS, or more Lockscreen mods like AOSP or SGS4 LS mods?

Did you get lock screen mod to run on vectus..
I actually didn't try, after I realized that Vectus is deodexed I believe.
I can do the mod for deodex too, I'll post more stuff tomorrow when I have time
