Why are some of the Inc dev's leaving XDA?

Ok. So i have been away from the form for a couple of weeks (family emergency) and I noticed that some of the dev's are packing up and going to different forums JoelZ9614, ihtfp69. What did I miss?

I'm kinda wondering that too tbh

devs should just ignore the crap and keep doing what they do.

Stuff like this makes me want to stay with CM even more. CM is my first love for custom ROMs and my favorite so far due to it's speed and features and open source model. Since they packed up quietly it just would make you speculate.
I like looking at the front page of Inc development to see what's new. We'll still be seeing new ROM on xda, just from fewer devs.

They are doing what they do, just decided to do it elsewhere. A few things have happened on xda that ticked a lot of people off.

im staying right here. doesnt matter who leaves, who stays. people need to grow the hell up and grow some thicker skin. this childish behavior HAS to stop for the good of the community. we will implode if all our devs leave. its like a joke to them. were not in third grade anymore guys. grow up, seriously......

I thought I would stick with this phone way past my contract because of the development but I might have to second guess that if the developers become too hard to locate . Like they say " There is a beginning to every end "

Thank god i have others to tell me what i am and am not like. Didn't come to start ****, i can tell ya that. but i suppose trolls will troll and all that jazz whatever makes threads all warm and fuzzy. p.s. how was i supposed to know the cm wiki wouldn't be updated. last time i saw gapps leaked it was a fake. still don't feel guilty, and you're not getting cookies from me for that one.

Whitehawkx does not own a T989.
With JB, AOKP is starting fresh, building the code from the ground up. With no member on Team Kang owning a T989, our JB prospects looked dim. You can read what our future would have been like here.
A lot of people talked about doing something. A lot of people talked about donating to a pool for WHX to get another T989. One person did it. You can read about his decision here.
You can read about the result here.
Not only does this radically affect AOKP, this also affects CM and other AOSP variations. All the teams collaborate together on this.
In the end, this isn't about bringing a new version of software to our phones so it can do 1001 things instead of 1000. It's about giving and giving back. Jangst123 and WHX have given to us. Let's give back. Round of applause for these two and every other dev and good person on these forums. It's not all bad

The AOKP decision wasn't a surprise with milestone 6+. I honestly don't know why they would even carry devices they don't have to troubleshooting. It's just common sense to me.

Fair enough, but I was really just answering the thread topic, and didn't find the relevance to the content in post. I'm just saying that I'd probably not give my S2 away. Unless I had another phone I could use ....

Regardless I've never HAD to pay for any Rom I've flashed. Should there be a limit for how many phones are donated to any dev? Developers provide a free service in their free time.... for all us addicted flashaholics.

4chan and anonymous aren't mercenaries for hire or a personal army to troll douche bags. Best we can do is let the CM team handle the legal aspects and try and find a way, legally, to help them get their site back or setup a new one for them with a diff domain.

I dont really use CM but i support them 100% and hope they get their stuff back.
