The toggles in the Notification window take up WAY to much room. Is there a setting I have missed to disable them?
Guess not... Any of the Roms out there in the development section allow you to turn off the toggles?

i want to fully apply themes from other roms but the thing i think that is stopping me is that toggles for wifi and silent mode etc. any way to remove them
Do you mean that you want to remove the notification bar on top? Risky business.

No, he wants to remove the WLAN/GPS toggle..
But he wrote that
I dont know anything about howto remove/change them.. AFAIK you cannot change the toggles (or not very easy).
You have 3 options :
1. Smali edit it
2. Apktool edit the layout xml's to make toggle property invisible/gone
3. Live with it
You want to REMOVE the toggles in the Notification Bar? I wish i could ADD more toggles in there. Much better than going back to the main screen to change stuff using Extended Controls.
Data Network enabling/disabling would be sweet (and that's the only toggle i'm missing there).
Try quick Desk from the android market.
Thats the best way Ive found.

Im running Codename rom and im wondering if theres a way to edit the notification toggle widgets in the drop down bar? Is this rom specific or is there a mod i can flash to get them how i want/add data/flashlight toggle as well?

I was just wondering if there was any setting, option, or even app that will allow me to hide the icon that shows next to my signal icon and shows when the phone is in "Vibrate" mode? I'm kind of a minimalist and this little icon bothers me. I hid the alarm icon, but can't seem to find a way to hide this.
I'm using LiquidSmooth JellyBean 4.2.1 Beta 2 and the KT kernel if that helps.

Aren't you running TPR rom? Why aren't you asking this in that roms thread? If you are on TPR there is an included app that allows you to choose which toggles to display and in what order also. Go to settings then quick panel
Edit: my bad thought you where referring to the toggles I see now it's the icons on the status bar.

My guess would be somewhere in framework... Did you try morphology?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
it's a systemUI icon, you could find it and make it the same color as your UI bar, then it would "disappear" and you wouldn't see it.
Morphology has colors, but you could download morphology and see where it is and what the filename is and then color it to your desires. then inject it into your UI with 7zip.
I have attached them in purple...these the right ones?
Or you could use a piece of black electrical tape, pull it off when you are not on vibrate...J/K.. The above is a better idea..

Well if you want to do it the "right" way, as in hide the icon while in vibrate mode, get the Settings.apk from TPR and decompile it
Then find the place where you can turn the vibrate toggle off/on and either run the code it uses or modify the files that its modifying
Do that and you'll be able to do it on any rom, regardless of whether its already been baked in or not

Hi all.
Is there an app or Mod which can enable me move the positions of the toggle icons in the notification bar?
For example, i want to move the mobile data toggle icon to the first position.
Also,it would be nice if i could add toggle icons for other commands. E.g. Flight mode.
I'm on Stock Rom, 4.1.2.

How do you disable the brightness slider in the notification panel?
When I had the November V update installed someone on XDA mentioned that you could goto system ui tuner & disable it there... & I did.
Now I updated to the J version & I can't find that option anywhere & I have lost the thread mentioned.
Any ideas?
Thanks
To get the System UI Tuner to show up just long press on the gear icon (settings) until you feel a slight vibration. You'll then find the settings near the bottom of the main settings page.

I know how to get system ui tuner to show up...
But before I had the option to remove the brightness slider in there, now the option is missing.
Anyone know how to remove the slider by any other means?

What system mods have you done? You must have flashed something to remove the setting for the System UI Tuner section.

Are you on the J build and able to do it?
Looks like he is saying he flashed J and its no longer an option for him.
I'm on V and don't have any option to remove the brightness slider in System Tuner options.
It's on my to-do list for framework mods though.
I'd like to remove it too.
Brightness slider has never been an option in settings tuner
I didn't realize it was the WETA mod that added the toggle to disable the brightness slider, my bad.

I didn't realize that when you have the centre clock WETA mod that it also made the brightness slider disableable via system ui tuner.
Thank you everyone for helping me figure it out...
There is no J build of WETA centre clock yet so thats why there is no option to remove brightness slider in system ui tuner

The Brightness slider in the System UI Tuner gets added with the Stock UI Modded script.
On WETA 2.3, the option is mislabeled.
On the stock NMF26Q firmware, the brightness slider showed on the second downward slide of the status bar above the nine QL tiles.
The slider disappeared when I flashed WETA 2.3. The option to toggle the slider is in the UI tuner. On my phone it's the topmost option, but it is mislabeled as "Show clock seconds in the status bar. May impact battery life." This is in reality the brightness slider toggle.
Hope this helps..
