if your phone is rooted it will be rooted till you'll unroot it...

Well, I think he wants to know, on what date his device got root.
As I don't have a rooted device here, I can only have a guess: maybe the superuser.apk has some dates in its properties (date of edit etc)?!

Yeah, I was hoping it would go back to the date of installation, giving me a rough idea of when the phone was rooted. But maybe not.

Im guessing you have the newest version on it, which has patches in it that no one has been able to root yet.
So for now... you cant.
I bought mine a few weeks ago and it had the older version firmware then I got an update and now its not rootable.
Just gotta wait and hope someone gets bored and figures it out.

Why dont you tell me? Its obviously not the rom, a rom definitely wouldnt break your phone, or everyone who flashed it would be bricked like you are. So that only leaves one other thing that it could be and thats that you messed it up somehow

I'll clue you in on the problem....xlite is a rom for the international galaxy siii and you are in a forum dedicated to the AT&T version. One would deduce that you flashed the wrong rom on your phone. My suggestion is to read, read, read before you flash anything else if you are able to unbrick your phone.

Dude, everyone else flashed it with no problem at all. If you had a problem, its YOUR fault. This is why devs have to put a disclaimer with there roms, cuz stupid people mess up there phones and blame it on the devs work. They arent the ones who did something wrong to your phone. Samsung Galaxy S2 T989 Won't turn on

I flashed a new ROM, everything went alright, no error of anykind, when I rebooted the phone, the screen goes black, no vibration of anykind. I already tried taking the battery out and waiting 30 to 60 secs, hitting the power bottom without the battery then putting the battery right in and trying to get into recovery mode.
Everytime i plug the phone into the computer via USB, the computer makes a noise like it recognized the device but then asks me for the "Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM" drivers. I think i found those, not sure yet... Please help... I can't sent the phone to customer service since i rooted the phone my warranty is void.
Help please.
Bricked take it in play dumb they won't know your rooted its dead. JTAG will fix it 50 bucks I think. Weird it booted and was fine then won't boot. If you take it to T-Mobile play dumb they don't know any better. No wanted damage or cracks they'll replace it. Just call they'll mail one to you.

The issue was that he installed the wrong rom on his device. Happens all the time with the t989. He probably flashed a rom for an i9100. Both devices are marketed as the samsung galaxy s2, which confuses new users.
Try using Odin to flash the stock ROM. can you get it in download mode?

Failed to gain s-off on my gsm M8

Compared to the at&t M8 I bought my sister I was able to at least use sunshine app for gaining s-off and then finally proceeding to perform the full conversion to the latest 5.0.1 lollipop gpe rom. My case was different, sunshine wouldn't work, and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that I followed the HTC One M7 guide to gaining s-off here :
How to Gain S-OFF on your HTC One (All Models): http://youtu.be/NeFwsqU4YL4
I quickly realized the error and then tried the m8 version of the guide from the same person, and then sunshine just as on my sisters att m8, but then got the message saying it won't work on mine... I then realized I couldn't meet the requirements to perform the full GPE conversion without s-off as required in this guide: How to Convert HTC One M8 to Google Play Edition …: http://youtu.be/WEouT7eV8UA
Thereafter I remembered that this lollipop rom by sky dragon didn't require s-off to flash it.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2706391
I flashed the lollipop rom and everything works fine for the most part, but I have some differences in comparison to my sister's phone with s-off which I also flashed with this sky dragon rom
First off I don't get the Google logo when booting up, I still get the green HTC logo with the white background and it says at the bottom in red something about how this build is for development purposes only and not to be distributed..
Second and maybe the last grippe.. I always notice after waking my phone that the WiFi seems to have deactivated but immediately reappears within 1-3 seconds..
I think that's all for now. If anyone can help me with these two issues I'd appreciate it. Is this all happening because of no s-off? Or maybe because I initially followed the m7 guide for s-off? Or maybe something else entirely?? My sisters phone was att and mine was just unlocked or unbranded... No carrier logos on back. Brand new and sealed too.
