Hi all, flashed a rom and all went well untill I go to the play store. Half of the apps aren't there? I live in Australia and previously I was able to access apps, books, magazenes and movies. Now All I see is apps and books?
Checked the playstore and its running 3.9.17 (the latest I assume)?

Hello,
I recently flashed by HOX with various ROM's, and something struck me.
With ViperX, RD-MIUI and also with Liquid JB it took me a while to get OTA Installations from Google Play to work. In the beginning of a fresh ROM installation, it seemed like I simply couldn't install any apps from Google Play Store's webpage - so I had to do it from the app on the phone.
But then after a while, which seemed like a day or two - the OTA installation suddently began to work.
Does anyone know why this is the case?
Thanks
Do not kill play store via any task killers or recent apps...as long as play store is running in background, OTA installations are working.
Due some problems with my HTC ONE (M7) i had to return it to the store and use my backup phone (HTC ONE V).
It has been a while since i used it, but before switching to my new phone, everything worked fine.
After more then a year, i need to re-use my HTC ONE V and i want to make the best of it till i get my other one back.
But after trying to install some apps i bumped in to some problems. When i looked up the apps in the Play Store, i didn't get the apps i searched for.
Later it asked me to do updates on the apps that were still on it (since they haven't been updated for over a year) but when i pressed to update them, nothing happened.
When i noticed that, i wanted to try updating them manually but when i opened up the app page's, it told me my device isn't compatible (which is weird since the apps are already on the phone).
I tried a method i see a lot with Google Play issues which is deleting the Google Play updates so it goes back to the state it was in when i got the phone and letting it update again, but it doesn't update anymore.
When i look at my devices on Google Play in my browser, i see the phone standing in the list but it says it hasn't been used for over a year. My email is linked to my Google Play on my phone so i tried installing apps by pressing install on the browser version but again nothing happened.
Is there a way to fix this problem?
I am considering doing a factory reset if there is no solution but i would like to avoid that.

What if you try to:
* delete Google Play data?
* install the newest gapps compatible with the ROM you are currently using? Wipe Cache and Dalvik after that.
* update Google Play App in the first place?
Hey guys I'm on 4.4.4 latest firmware. I rooted my phone, and running on stock ROM with Xposed.
When I used Titanium Backup to uninstall useless system apps (Skype, Play Music, Play Newstand, Play Books, Play Movies, Google Chrome, Hangouts, Google Korean input), the phone will reboot, and then suddenly Play Store will "update" all of them, as if I never removed them!
Why is this happening? It's my first HTC Phone - my previous phones have 0 problems removing system apps!!
You have a secured kernel. You need another kernel.

There you have some more info
So I rooted my phone because i wanted full control over it.
I know a bit about android and stuff because im an app developer. But I have ruined my phone because i wanted to go back to the old market. I dont like the new google play so i decided to delete everything associated with google play store. And i know google play services updates the store so i also uninstalled it. When i realized that i couldn't have the market, i decided to revert back to google play. But now all the apps are saying "google play services error" or it needs an update. I have downloaded the latest version off the web (i cant get the play store to work :/) But i have tried lots of versions of both google play and google play services. None work! Any tips? I might have deleted the marketupdater.apk or something. Not sure....
Any help appreciated!

Maybe flashing a matching gapps package with cache/dalvik wipe might help. Though not if your on stock. Though if on stock flashing your stock ROM again with just a cache wipe might help.
Only guessing here though. I'd usually just flash my whole system from fresh if I came across a problem like this because I'm OCD about things like that.
I am using k30i chinese rom handset. Recently i have updated android 10 to android 11. After updating i cant use google play, play service, youtube, gmail etc(all of the google service). In get app there was a google installer to install every google app, now there isnt. Ive manually installed it and it says purchese error when i try to download play apps. I have manually installed play service, play service framework, account manager and play store. Play store did loged in me but after that everything turned same. What should i do to get play service?? Please help.
I have the same problem. What i did was i manually installed the apk version of all the google app. I installed older version of google play services as I can't install the latest one. Everything work just fine after that

Can you please the version of play services? And if possible please tell me the version of play store, play servises framework. Please please please. And did you upgraded to android 11?
Hello friends,
Try flashing MIUI EU ROM. This will help your phone about Google Play stuff better than installing .apk app manually. Google Play stuff work best in system. Flashing .apk will still cause some glitches and errors.
check this youtube video, you can find some links in the description, download those apps to your phone and install them. THE MOST IMPORTANT is to stop Google play services to auto-update itself, and for that you must block Google Play services to access internet. You must go to Settings/Apps/Manage Apps/ then click on Google Play services, then scroll down and you'll see "Restrict data usage", then uncheck "WLAN" and "Mobile data". I also block Google Play store from accessing the internet, sometimes I will allow it to access Internet to update all apps on my phone, then when it's completed, I turn off WLAN and mobile data for the plays store again. This is a temporary solution until someone comes up with a functioning Google installer...Or install a rom such as xiaomi.eu
