Chrome keyboard - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

I'm sure this has been asked already, but I can't find anything in search.
After a recent update I've been having issues with keyboard behavior in chrome. Basically, the last thing I enter (last character with hunt and peck, last word with swype) keeps getting doubled as soon as I hit space.
Any fixes? Or is there some way I can roll back to an older version of Chrome?
This is an ATT Ion running version 6.1.E.1.20 of the LT28h firmware.

[Q] No Swype

Hi,
I just received my beautiful Arc and generally speaking I am very happy with it. But Swype won't work at all. I installed it and made the set-up but I still have the keyboard when I want to write something.
What can I do.
Thanks a lot
Poldi
Press and hold in the text input area. You should be able to choose Input Method. Choose the Swype keyboard and you're all set.
PS: Try the latest Swype 3 beta; it's awesome!
you have to downland from swipe web site

[Q] No personal dictionary after 4.0.4 update?

I just got the OTA update yesterday to Android 4.0.4. I know it was supposed to improve the ease of typing but it has actually made things a lot worse (for me, anyway). It seems like they changed the way the prediction works. Like "Im" always used to be automatically replaced with "I'm". Now it's not. Also, I can't find the personal dictionary anymore. Where did they hide it?
Did you check android keyboard settings?

[Q] Spell Correction Issues

The issue i'm facing is the horrible spell correction on my S3. I came from my old S1 directly to the S3. On my old S1 I could type a word out and if it was anywhere near close, the phone would correct it. On my S3 it obviously knows I'm spelling it wrong because it gives me the option to correct it to the right word, but doesn't do it automatically. I am under the impression that it has to be a setting somewhere because even when I downloaded swift I had the same issues. In settings, under the stock keyboard I have all the right boxes clicked as far as what I suspect it should be, but I was wondering if anyone else had this issue.

I am also curious about this. I never had this issue until I flashed the stock touchwiz rooted roms. Now my mistyped words are never corrected automatically no matter what options I select. The rom obviously changed something in the keyboard....anyone know a fix for this? Things like "vibrate on keypress" or the "hand writing" functions just plain don't work/show up. Thanks for any help.

[Q] Swype problem on any CM

I use Swype and sometimes when I open the keyboard to text I will l lose Swype functionality but I can type normally. I have to press back to close the keyboard and then it works normally. This happens randomly and no setting seems to fix it. This happens on cm10 and cm10.1. Anyone know how to fix or have this problem? I have tried reinstallation and update.

That's a swype issue. I've seen it on cm 7 as well. Use the latest beta and bug report. I haven't used swype in ages plus android 4.2 has a swype like keyboard function which works.

I've installed Swype beta 1.3 on my incredible since day one running cm10 without any problems. Swype beta showed an update available today to 1.4 and the only way I was able to upgrade was to uninstall the old version and download a new installer from the web site. maybe that upgrade would fix the bug. if not, I agree with tiny on reporting the bug.

If it makes you (OP) feel any better, I have seen the same behavior as you, but all the way back to when my phone was stock. It's just a funny with Skype.
I just stepped up to Tiny's CM10.1, and installed the Swype 1.4.0 beta. Haven't used it long enough to tell it that behavior is fixed (but I'd be kinda surprised...it's been around a long time). At least it doesn't happen too often (at least for me) and there's a simple workaround.

+1
Saw Swype's announcement video when it was released (was using a windows mobile back then though). Downloaded the beta as soon as I got my HTC Thunderbolt; and bought the full version now using my Sprint LGOG
SwiftKey beyond a shadow of a doubt
I use Hacker's Keyboard. It is great for use in the terminal, especially when it comes to running vi.
Newest SwiftKey is legit with flow added

It won't overwrite the stock lg one. It's officially on the play store from Google. They released it a dew days ago. It's another input option.

I have the stock keyboard installed as well, it gives me the option to update this keyboard within the play market, but won't install after it downloads. I'm probably just going to delete the existing one and try to install the one from the market.
**Update** I don't know if there was a huge difference from the aosp keyboard that what included within this rom, but by removing that version I was able to install the market version.
What ROM are you on? I'm rooted but locked. So I had no issues on the stock ROM. The more I use this keyboard the more I'm looking it over swiftkey. I didn't fully use the swiftkey flow feature. I was always letting up and pressing the space bar before continuing.
