[Q][UnSolved] dman3285, any ideas? - Samsung Captivate Glide

Edit: Seems to have just been a temp ban, proxy solved. <<< Uhm yeah
Re-Edit: I can't remember how to set a proxy, and if I am doing it right, it doesn't seem to be working.

I could, but it's against general forum etiquette to blindly PM someone. I don't previously contain permission to PM him for trivial things.

Proxy did nothing!!
Apparently, so far as I can gather, it's a port issue... maybe comcast shut me off ISP side?
That's githubs IP... there's something going on, anyone else having github repo sync problems?

Just keep trying. git/repo acts like that sometimes

HTC Desire Wi-Fi Problem

Had a wi-fi problem on my htc desire for a while now..
One time I went to turn wi-fi on and it just said "Unable to start wi-fi". It had worked totally fine up until that point.
I've tried doing a factory reset, rooted, updated rom but it's still not working.
When the problem happened I had not rooted the phone or changed anything really.. it just happened.
In logcat it says:
flg=0x10200000 cmp=com.android.settings/.wifi.WifiSettings bnds=[124,404][236,531] }
D/SettingsWifiEnabler( 548): Received wifi state changed from Enabling to Unknown
W/SyncAllWidget( 151): activeSynch is null false
I/ActivityManager( 79): Displayed activity com.android.settings/.wifi.WifiSettings: 495 ms (total 495 ms)
I/WifiHW ( 79): wifi_load_driver enter
D/SettingsWifiEnabler( 548): Received wifi state changed from Unknown to Enabling
D/dalvikvm( 1805): GC freed 3806 objects / 257536 bytes in 97ms
D/NetworkLocationProvider( 79): onCellLocationChanged [1363,22890]
I/WifiHW ( 79): wifi_load_driver end error 2
E/WifiService( 79): Failed to load Wi-Fi driver.
D/SettingsWifiEnabler( 548): Received wifi state changed from Enabling to Unknown
Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?
Setting a static IP fixed it temporarily but now it doesn't work again.

Question about git repository

Hello everyone..
I want to learn about starting development,
so for the first step I'd like to try compiling a fresh froyo and
I've followed the instruction from Fresh froyo thread
But, I have a problem,
each time I do "repo sync", the process is never successfully finished.
I always get these error mesages :
Code:
remote: Counting objects: 1405995, done.
remote: Compressing objects: 100% (265573/265573), done.
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly352.01 MiB | 46 KiB/s
fatal: early EOF
fatal: index-pack failed
error: Cannot fetch kernel
I've tried again several times but the remote always hung up unexpectedly when the download process is around 350~390MB.
Is this because of my internet connection or do I missed something?
what can I do to make this works?
Please help me
Thank you..
I've never seen exactly that, but sometimes I get network failures. Try again?
When it says "Fetching projects: xx% (yy/154)", how far does it get?
To the kernel, presumably, based on the error message. That's like 102/154 or something around there.

wifi.wpa_supp_ready permission denied

Hi
i've tested many sandvold ics roms from early versions, and from the early on i had problems with wifi. wifi turns on but it can't search for networks, and even when i give the SSID and password manually, it can't connect to it.
today i had a search into the dmesg of device. you can check my dmesg there. there is an interesting line in it:
Code:
<3>[ 54.330230] init: sys_prop: permission denied uid:1010 name:wifi.wpa_supp_ready
this message repeats in the dmesg. and it is followed by this message:
Code:
<4>[ 164.142272] Set ISCAN for wl_iw_combined_scan_set failed with -22
what is the meaning of these errors? and how can i fix them?
thanx

[Q] Bluetooth enable failure

I have a rooted HTC Desire, running Cron Mod-1.0.7.
Ever since I rooted it whatever OS I install there is no bluetooth, I even tried reflashing the stock RUU for it but that didn't work.
I did some research on this page, and decided to update the radio to 32.49.00.32U_5.11.01.27, and have tried a few different RIL versions. All have done nothing.
So I ran a log while trying to enable bt, and discovered that this happens:
"E/bluedroid( 1010): bt_enable: Timeout waiting for HCI device to come up"
So i then ran this:
"$su
# bluetoothd -n
bluetoothd[4428]: Bluetooth deamon 4.69
bluetoothd[4428]: Starting SDP server
bluetoothd[4428]: opening L2CAP socket: Operation not permitted
bluetoothd[4428]: Server initialization failed
bluetoothd[4428]: Can't open HCI socket: Operation not permitted (1)
bluetoothd[4428]: adapter_ops_setup failed
#"
I then ran "#strace bluetoothd -nd" and have a very large output file. I can post if it would be helpful.
But basically the output was that permission was denied opening a few files (/ect/bluetooth/main.conf; /dev/kmsg; /dev/socket/dbus).
Does anyone have any ideas about what the problem is and how to fix it?
Any help will be appreciated!
