Hey fellow Geeks...ty for the continuous help I have gotten here through the years. Its been indispensible. Soo...I have a TMO TP2 and im currently using a Deep Shining rom...but it doesnt have Telenav which i need. So, can anyone suggest a good custom rom which has Telenav intact, or explain to me how to extract it from the stock TMO rom , save it to my sdcard, then reinstall onto the custom rom of my choosing. Ive searched all over and did find several individuals who stated that they successfully used a sprint Telenav cab on their TMO TP2 but i tried it and it didnt work for me...i downloaded it to my card and when i try to install it just says unsuccessful. Please, any help or direction you guys can give would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the fabulous work.

Before you guys tell me to use the search, I have! I've been working on this for 11 hours straight now cause I can't use my phone!
1st Problem: After flashing I had no service. (Yes I used search.) Tried adding APN manually, no luck with many different methods. All the other methods possible required file transfers, which leads me to my 2nd problem.
2nd Problem: My computer will not recognize my phone to transfer files. It will charge however. I tried uninstalling drivers and reinstalling them, etc.
BUT right now I have it open! Yes! Now I just want to know the best files and things to do right now before it won't let me transfer files again. I do not know why it is suddenly reading it so I'm counting on it not being able to after I try fixing everything.
If I flash to a new ROM will I get service back? Should I just go back to stock/unroot? I'd prefer to keep it rooted if I can get my service and everything working.
Thank you guys! I know a lot of these question have been answered and I tried finding them, I really did. But I'm so close now that I can actually transfer files and I just need help! Thank you. I appreciate it.
And by the way I can't just backup because when I flashed to CM7 my original backup got deleted, or just hidden deep away somewhere??

Please help me, anyone. I am freaking. I flashed this ROM per the instructions (no I did not do a backup, my fault). However, although the ROM loaded, it told me I needed a T-Mobile SIM for WiFi calling to work. That may have been discussed before. That is irrelevant.
Since flashing this rom (Yes, I did the ROM, Modem, Reboot, and Firmware as said)...I can only make "Emergency Calls," I can't connect to data, can't connect to Sprint cell signal, and for the first time I can't get LG Flash Tool to work to get me back to Stock.
Can someone, anyone please tell me what to do? I need my phone soon because I'm leaving, but nothing works!!!!

Copy LS980 room zip file to to flash drive connect to your phone thru recovery mount usb otg than flash ls980 zip
You will be back on Sprint and after that LG Flash tool will work to if you needed

Thanks again for your instructions and help. I got the OTG, followed your steps precisely, and it SAID it installed Stock ZVC successfully (twice, actually)...yet it still will only boot back into TWRP. In download mode, LG Flash tool still doesn't work. This computer has all drivers, Windows 7, and had no issues before this ROM.
Do you have any other ideas? Now I've bought a cable for no reason. Help, please!

Now I have the Stock Rooted ZVC Odex ROM installed, but STILL, no data, no signal connectivity. I try to update PRL and it says authentication error. I try to make a phone call and it says "Emergency Calls Only." This stuff ONLY happened after this (TMobile ROM). Please help me if you can. I've made major progress with your OTG instructions and getting out of the OTA TWRP Bootloop. Now how do I get past the "authentication" error and get the data and signal restored? Can Sprint do that from their side?
Edit # 2: I called Sprint, they walked me through fixing the MDN and MSID, factory reset, nothing works. It still shows "NO SERVICE," "AUTHENTICATION ERROR," AND ALTHOUGH IN MDN AND MSD my # is correct, in SETTINGS it shows my old (pre-port) phone number.
He told me to take it to a Sprint Store but clearly I can't because I'm rooted and on a debloated ROM. Please, any advice is so much appreciated.

I've had this problem. I do think this phone can be wonky when using custom ROMs. Some people have no problem, others have constant problems, and some have problems SOMETIMES. There is no right answer so far.
I would just continue flashing different ROMs until something works. This worked for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2775888
But unfortunately now I have the dreaded touch dead-spot.

Yes, they did (hence the reference to LG Flash Tools). It sounds likeyour EFS partition got wiped. If you didn't back up your EFS, I think you're kinda SOL. From what I've read it's nearly impossible to get back your EFS data if you don't have the files. If you can find a way to hack it out by using someone else's files, let me know. I have mine from every backup I've done and if I can remove my info from them I'll post them. Sorry to hear about your issue, hope you find a solution.

AdamBlue are you on Sprint and the TMO zip worked?? It's what screwed me up.

I think I have great news. I looked in my ioroot folder and found both of the files (3 MB each) that are modemst1.img and modemst2.img.
I created a folder on the Internal called EFS_Backup, and I copied and pasted those two files into the new folder, renaming them efs1 and efs2. They renamed and stuck in the folder just fine, but running the ADB commands didn't work. So I used the flashable EFS zip in TWRP and it said FAILED.
I'm thinking since I have these 2 files I should be able to fix this, right???? But...the thing that's driving me nuts is that LG Flash Tool, no matter what version, will NOT work on my device anymore. Not with either of my PC's.
Does anyone have a suggestion for what to do now that I found those modem files in my ioroot folder?
I feel like this is the closest I have gotten and now I'm stuck. LG Flash Tools never worked on Windows 8. The OLDER versions worked fine with .tot files BEFORE all of this happened, in Windows 7. Now even Windows 7 won't work to use LG Flash Tools, after I created this mess.
Can anyone PLEASE help me take these 2 files and get them to fix my EFS? I really don't know what I'm doing, clearly, or I would have backed up my EFS first. Problem here is probably same everywhere...I've always done this, never bothered with Nandroid or EFS backups, but also never had the issue of only having an internal memory on an Android device. Stupid mistake.
I would greatly appreciate any help that can be offered. I have one more day and I can still take this phone back...IF I can fix it. Thank you in advance!
PS: I Have my ESN, MEID HEX, MEID DEC, IMEI, ICCID AND IMSI - ALL POPULATED WITH NUMBERS IN SETTINGS. WHAT IS "UNKNOWN" IS MY PHONE NUMBER AND MY PRL.

Not very competent on the phone, thats my son... anyway he gave me this phone changed to freedom pop with their free 200mins service.
Yesterday morning there was a message stating need to install upgrade to software, since then it has not worked, see photo. I tried installing from cache but it doesnt. My son is out of town and I dont know how to fix this.
I was thinking I should just install software from scratch, but dont know which one, I believe it was rooted. So please help me restore my phone.

yes this worked for me.
Buying this phone, I rooted it with what appears to be the wrong root file. Yet the website given said it would work. I cannot supply it, but I am now unable to use any mobile data without the phone automatically rebooting constantly. I can still use WiFi calling oddly. But I am COMPLETELY unable to turn data on and use it without the phone just shutting off instantly and rebooting. So I am wondering if it did hardware damage. If I unrooted it, would it help? What if I used an actual correct root file? I can't find one however and would like one. So briefly:
1. How can I fix this problem?
2. Is there a correct root file anywhere?
3. If that won't help, what is causing it to do this?
(I have posted this in the actual Edge+ forum but I am posting it here. I apparently need the modem for the phone, as said by someone else. Where would I get this?)
