If you can't fix it, you can always use the shotgun in your sig.
Authentication Error Occured when connecting to Wifi on the Galaxy Note II. Has anyone got the same issue? The Wifi was connecting till yesterday with the same authentication information. I am not sure what happened today. I went to a friends place where I had used Wifi before and it gave the same error. All other devices work just fine. I got the device on Nov 9. Not sure what to do now.
I have the same problem with Omega 8.0 ROM(4.1.2) earlier everything was working fine.
Most of the people do not notice it because it happens only with WPA-PSK & WPA-PSK2.
Try setting WEP on your router and everything will work just fine.
If you find any other solution please share it here.
Go a bit closer to your router.. it will connect.

I want to bring this back to life for only a moment if anyone cares.
I recently had this problem with my Galaxy Note 10.1 at my home. Nothing had been altered on the router, and I had not made any changes to the settings in my stock Note 10.1
First moving closer to the router is not a solution to this problem. I was an inch away from the router and no matter what I tried...restarting, turning wifi on off, re-inputting the correct password, removing apps... everything short of a factory reset. (Because that is the simplest solution when you cannot find a solution)
I also had this happen the day before to my old Samsung Vibrant (not stock, Rooted and Custom Jelly Bean Rom).
I did find a solution and I will give that in a second.
To the original poster I have to ask a question, on both of my devices I had recently installed a bunch of kid games one in particular that I think may have caused the problem was an app called Kid Mode. Did you happen to install this app too?
SOLUTION
Forget the network in the wifi settings, and then try logging in with the Wrong password! It will not log in, but will reset the device to try to actually connect.
Login with the correct password!! And like magic you will be connected once again.
If you too installed kid mode or perhaps an app that becomes the default launcher instead of whatever launcher your using this could be the cause...but I do not know why.

Hi...I just got a Galaxy II Note, and when I try to go on the internet, I get a page that says Welcome to Cisco Wireless Network. It asks for a username and password, and everytime I type in a new web address it redirects me back to this page. Has anyone seen this, and how can do I fix it?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

That's the router you are using. Has nothing to do with your phone.
Thank-You

You were right, I was trying to go on the internet while at work, and that was the error message. When I tried to go on from home, I had no problem. Thank-you so much!

Okay so not even a couple days ago I noticed everytime I tried to bind facebook to an app I'll get a message that says "Sorry, something went wrong" on the facebook app where it usually takes me to the login page, which it doesn't do anymore. Instead I get that page.
Secondly GoSMS Pro doesn't wanna locate anymore when I go to Go Chat! and do Find option, it says "Connecting timed out, please check your network connection"
Thirdly as of today, my home networks wifi is now suddenly too weak and it refuses to connect to it at all anymore, goes to connect obtains ip and then disconnects and says its disabled cause the connection is too poor.
How can I fix these, mind GPS is turned on in my phone for GoSMS Pro. Really don't feel like doing a hard reset all cause of this!
Nice! You found the q and a!

Needless to GoSMS Pro fixed itself, still getting the problems with my home network and facebook.
^---I sent this with my voice and TouchPal from my Samsung Note 2 i317 using Tapatalk 2
reboot your router..
Resetting your route ought to fix signal strength issues, and I'd be willing to bet using a different facebook app might help with your binding (I recommend friendcaster)
Hi guys,
Few days ago my S3 received official 4.3 android update, and weird things happening after that.
When I connect to internet, via wi-fi or data, phone automatically download a small file named "files.zip". And it happening every time I turn on wi-fi or data... I can`t find this file in downloads or anywhere else. When I try to open, it says "cannot open".
Second weird thing - browser often redirect me to a advertising or span webs. For instance, I try to open youtube.com, it opens different web with advertisement.
Anyone have an ideas how can I fix this?
We need proof screen shots video something

You might be in the wrong forum. Your profile says you're in Lithuania, using a GSM provider there. Is that still the case?

damn your luck were still stuck on 4.1.2 if your having the issues you say you are with what sounds like maleware. have you installed anything to check phone. over here we have apps like lookout security. i kno nod makes a phone app. you could always do a factory reset back to out the box state. reinstall apps one by one to check it out. sound like you have a app with crap in it.

Factory reset helped to solve "files.zip" autodownload problem, but phone is still laggy. It takes 3-5 seconds to turn on screen when I press power button in sleep mode. Applications become laggy. I will try to reflash 4.3 via KIES, if the problem remain, back to 4.1.2 will be optimal decision.
Thanks for help guys, and sorry again for getting lost in galaxy s3 forums
