What bloat can be removed while keeping spen?

Probably keep the S Memo app since the S pen uses it. The rest I would say are safe since the SIII doesn't have one.

Developers can you please port the premium suite applications available in the Galaxy Note such as S Memo and S Note. It would be an awesome feature in our Galaxy S3. Please.
I have pre-installed s memo in my sgs 3

But the Premium suite S memo from the Galaxy Note have a lot of other special features available other than our galaxy S3 S memo.
"Premium" suggests that you pay a premium to get the note with advanced features. Therefore there may be legal issues surrounding porting that.
Reads as a Samsung update for large screen products .

It's not a paid app but it was included in the update of Galaxy Note to ICS. The features of the apps were increased in the update. So I think it won't be illegal in porting the apps.
friends found this while surfing around in the Galaxy Note forum

This is the premium suite app from the Galaxy Note and it works in our S3 on a normal install without root. But some work has to be done in adjusting the resolution so that it looks perfect on our S3.
Can anyone confirm that the premium suite does indeed work well on the S III? I have the AT&T Note and use the upgraded S Note app and S Memo app everyday. Especially "formula match" which is part of the productivity tools in the updated S Note app. It connects to Wolfram Alpha to show the different solutions to whatever equation or science problem you hand write. I'm thinking of moving to the S III but cant if it doesn't support these apps which Ive become dependent on. Thanks.
So I was trying to create a list of random stuff online with S Note, and I noticed I couldn't create a hyperlink with S Note. Is there a way to? And if not, can anyone suggest a good note app that can? I LOVE S Note though. Really hope anyone can help. Thanks!
Note Everything. It also gives you the option to draw notes in case that's what you like from S Note.

Ugh the drawing on the app wasn't as good as S Note. Why can't I just create a hyperlink in S Note? T_T
Thanks for the suggestion though!
3rd party apps are not gonna be as intuitive as the S Pen apps... unfortunately </3

My girlfriends Verizon SIII has a s memo Widget but the note II doesnt but it seems like it Should because of the Spen. So is there a way to get it on my note 2 or is it like Verizon exclusive or s3 exclusive?
First questions go in Q (uestions) & A (nswers)
Second S note is the notes version of S Memo and is designed specifically to work with the S pen
I like to break stuff!

I just don't understand the thinking of others sometimes, just mind boggling
Hope this helped, haha.
So I am new to the Galaxy Note II, coming from a Galaxy Nexus and I am pretty darn happy so far. But, there is ONE thing I miss about my Galaxy Nexus, and that is PGM2!
I will be the first to admit I have no idea where to start on developing this, but I will also be the first to throw down some coin if someone else is able to develop something just like PGM2 for the Galaxy Note II!
It really was the one true must have thing on my Galaxy Nexus. It saves your buttons, which Samsung is known for not having the most reliable.
yes yes that would be a nice feature to have saving hard keys.
Count me in on donation.
+1 would love that too
I have mentioned this to a kernel dev to try and bring pgm2 or s2w to or device

That's awesome! I would gladly pay for the app. I paid 3.99 for PGM2 on the Galaxy Nexus, and I would spend it again for something on the Galaxy Note II without hesitation.

When I clink on the link provided in the OP's post, it tells me the app is compatible with my device, which is Galaxy Note II. Am I missing something?

Yep, love that app on my Nexus. Wish works on the Note!
I've spoke to the PGM2 developer awhile back, he said he can't do it for Note since he doesn't have the phone. Bummer!!!!
Here's the alternative, wave your hand to turn on/off

Nova Launcher Prime & Tasker
If you have both those apps. You can set nova actions double tap to lauch a tasker task to lock the screen. Works pretty slick to lock and turn off the display....
Still have to push a button to wake. ..
So my mom lost her E4GT and I'm due for an upgrade super soon. I'll be passing along my S3 to her and either getting a Note 2 or the S4.
I've done some research on both but would like to hear what you guys have to say without any influence from my already formulated opinions.
I'm with Sprint, the international version and the Nexus 4 are out of the question.
Should I get the Note now or wait a few weeks for the S4?
P.S. Don't worry about my mom, she'll have a Palm Pre and wont be phoneless.
S4 dude.

Meh, the s4 is merely a s3s with miniscule improvements, the note 2 is still more of an upgrade then the s4 imho. Samsung note line of phones stole all the fame and now its like the galaxy s phones are having a tough time catching up lol
Bring on the note 3 already!

It depends on whether u want more processing power (s4) or a bigger screen (note 2).

If you are into photo retouching and artistic stuff go with the Note II. The S-Pen is worth gold! Whatever you do, I would say wait for battery tests on the S4 before you buy. And if you do buy either go for at LEAST the 32gb versions.
I have the note2 and my wife had the S3 and is getting the S4 she wants something in between the note2 and S3 and witch makes the S4 perfect for her. When she gets it ill probably steal it from her for a day or two though

note 2 i love the note 2 i loved the s3 but for some reason i couldn't downsize screens even. plus the s pen is amazing and well be getting the features that the s4 will have so why not get the note 2?
I would get the Note2 bigger screen spen is amazing. Plus like everyone keeps saying we'll have the software soon on are note2 from thw S4 anyway. Yes the S4 has a 1080p display but to me thats not worth not getting the Note2 because it already has most of what the S4 has
