Had anybody used skvalex app in the play store? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Anybody had any success with the two way call recorder in skvalex call recorder app in the play store?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium

Can anyone please try our the two way call recorder on skvalex app in the play store and let me know if it works, the last time I bought a new phone the gs3 I assumed it will work but it didn't and then had to return it and lost sixty dollars, I'd really appreciate some feed back on this issue.

I use it allot and works really well if not on BT. On BT it does work, but only can record the other ends voice not mine, it maybe a setting but haven't figured it out as of yet. Not a huge problem since I only use bt in my truck but do wish it would work both ways.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I guess there will never be another chip like s3.

I emailed skvalex about the issue with not recording my voice when on Bluetooth, and he replied...
"Yes, it's a known issue and, of coarse, I want to fix it. But Samsung doesn't want to share documentation so I am unable to fix it without the docs..."
I really liked it on my S2, it worked flawlessly.

I use it on my Note 2, and it records the other person very clearly, but my voice is VERY hard to hear.

There is a native 3G video call protocol, usually used in Europe. Not really adopted in the US. Not a whole ton of phones have it.
OP, this has been discussed months ago. No native 3G video calling on the Nexus, have to use an app. There are plenty available.

Yes, it is new information to me. Now that we have ruled out the "native" option, Tango is a good vid chat app.

it's your carrier blocking it. you need root and this app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.innodroid.gtalkenabler#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDIxMiwiY29tLmlubm9kcm9pZC5ndGFsa2VuYWJsZXIiXQ..
works perfect
this app is same that is used in iphone, to paypass the rule of wifi and trick the phone to think it is over wifi and it is on 3G to do video call

Help with tango app

So basically I can see and hear just fine. But the people on the other line can't hear me. They can see me just fine. But no audio. Everything else on my phone works great. Any ides? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Still no good

Give Skype a try. Tango video was always choppy at best for me.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda app-developers app
Why are you uninstalling and reinstalling if the problem seems to be on their end? You say everything works fine for you so maybe it's their phone. Like, maybe they don't have their speaker on.
Really, you need to contact the dev by email from the Play store and be sure to tell him what kind of phone you have, what kind the other person has, etc.

Video Chat?

Just wondering what a good video chat app like facetime for android?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
I've tried Gtalk, pretty decent, haven't tried any other apps, but people mentioned Tango works well too.
yahoo chat works on this phone.
gtalk/Google hangout works pretty well.. There's Skype obviously.. The usual tango..
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
I use Gtalk/Google hangout and tango. I like Google hangout because I can video chat more than one person at the same time.
Tango is easy to use but limited to 1 on 1. Also if you are thinking about installing Tango, keep in mind that Tango has very annoying bug that changes your phone's in-call volume randomly to max and on each reboot.

P.S. This thread posted on wrong section bud, should be in Q&A. Probably get better responses =p

I've used gtalk and T-mobile's Qik, both were easy and worked well enough.

The only one that I love and use now with the Note 2 and the 25 meg download speed of Tmobile is Skype. My daughter talks to her grandparents almost every day on it and it beats firing up the spare computer which is now collecting dust.

[Q] Call Recorder App for Note 4

I had no issues with call recording using "Hyperdrive Rom" for Note 3. Until we get a rom for Note 4 that will allow call recording, anyone had success using any app from the app store? So far I've had no luck.
Call recorder by skvalex (An actual "XDA Developer) works GREAT without root.

I use the built-in voice recorder app. Works fine.
ACR Call Recorder is awesome. It works with or without root. With root, you can save calls to external sdcard.

Call recorder by skvalex works perfectly on unrooted retail N4. Even records over BT. Use standard API setting (default). Only setting I changed was having the call saved as MP3. Well worth the $5.

Still working great! Although I work in IT for a living, and if you are in this business you will understand
that after a while you learn to HATE talking on the phone to other people.. so I dont use it much .

Thanks for the update!
I too work in IT which is why I need to record calls
I highly recommend this app --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorderpro
Unfortunately as in all others I'm sure, we are limited to storing the recordings to our internal SD.
Hopefully Lollipop - whenever it may come to us - will resolve this issue.
