Alphabetical search in landscape mode

Is it just me or with all TP2 owners....that in lanscape mode, one looses the option of searching the contact list using the right sided alphabetical listing which is otherwise available in the portrait mode! Any idea why this happens, or is this just my TP2?
Its kinda bugging esp coz one has to go over the entire list before reaching the particular contact, or use the search bar option.

That is called HTC Random Access. It goes away on landscape mode because it would be too squished or wouldn't fit all on the screen.

Thanks for replying. So, i guess there is no tweaking available for it, or atleast for now. Well, i dont really think that it will become too crowded to throw in a narrow alphabet list to allow fast search in the landsape. If anything, it would infact have more left-to-right space on landscape mode. Anyhow, this feature shall remain a wishlist item for now.

Landscape keyboard

Ok, this might be a dumb question, but is there keyboard that when put into landscape mode doesn't take up the entire screen? I absolutely hate it! You can't see what the hell you are typing. It's retarded. Its nice to have a bigger keyboard, but at the same time what good does it do when you don't really know what you are typing. I have to go back into portrait mode to see what I just typed. Then I have to go back and edit everything cause its all messed up. Does anyone else share my frustration?

[Q] Wide home screen wall paper

Hi,
Long time ago (I think since I bought the phone and installed the first ROM), I had a wallpaper on the home screen that was moving if I moved to left or right.
It was like wider then the resolution of the screen (480x800 I think), it was like a square, and so I could see a part of it in 1 window and when wiping left or right I could see the next parts of the wall paper..
I hope thats clear enough..
Any way, how can I do that?
Do I need a special ROM that has it? or theres like an app or option or something?
I'd love to get some sollutions,
Thanks !
Yarden.
Hi
That option is not available in Sense 3 or 3.5 because the homescreens go in a continuous loop, so there would be a big line along the point where the edges of the wallpaper meet. Thats why it isnt implemented. That feature is only available in Sense 2 or third party launchers.
I hope you understand what I mean.
Oh, I suspected that thats the reason..
Thats sucks :\ I don't wanna go back to old sense..
I wish they will solve it some how.. like stretching the edges and combining them to a loop or something..
Any way, thanks for the answer..

one hand keyboard quick toggle?

Is there a way to quickly toggle one handed keyboard? I like it sometimes, but not all the time. Would rather not have to go into settings to change every time. Thanks!
You can always get Swiftkey which is free. I personally use Google keyboard and then use the feature which makes the screen shrink for one handed use

You can always go into settings>one handed operation and activate reduce screen. Its a great option if you want to make your screen small when you need to. When activated all you need to do is swipe from the side to the middle of the screen and back. It will shrink you screen. You can even adjust that screen. To go back to normal you just do the same thing. I use it all the time.

Scroll the entire screen down to access top

One feature I love in iOS is that you can scroll the entire screen down halfway in order to reach anything on top of the screen when your one handed. You activate this by just scrolling down on the home button.
Has anyone ever seen this for Android?

There is an xda app, xda one handed mode I believe it's called. It's supposed to serve this same purpose. I can't comment on it because I've never used it though. One handed mode would be a much more useful feature of swiping down in the fingerprint reader than pulling up notifications IMO, but so it goes. Kinda surprised Google doesn't implement some sort of one handed mode but into the OS.
