[Q] [GS3 Blazer Rom] - Constantly asking for system update - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

My GS3 has had the Blazer Rom for a little while now.
It's now constantly asking for a system update. I found one thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1981261
but that's not the same device. Is it the same fix? Has anyone else had this issue?

Which blazer rom do you have, jb or ics?

I've tried this before several times... Still nothing.

Is happening to me in one of my phones with FreeGS3 ICS. Sprint is pushing the JB update. But isn't a go for me until a tether app is available.

Use rom toolbox to change the build.Prop... There are about 6 entries...
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium

What 6 entries? And what I have to change?
I'm using CM10 but my wife is using FreeGS3 ICS.
She needs some stable ROM. But as everyone knows Wifi tether isn't working on JB.
Edit: if I'm ok. Go to /system and edit build.prop everywhere when day L710VPAJI3 change it for L710VPBLJ7 and reboot.
Edit 2: forget about edit 1.

This worked for me:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856632
You have to use Root Explorer. I believe its the only file manager that will allow you to edit the files.

I downloaded it but have no idea what to do. It sends me to my external SD card and I can't even seem to navigate into the phone section.
Where do I go to delete the files listed in the other tutorial?

You have to go into settings and enable root mode and mount system as r/w

or do like I did, put the files in the GApps V10 then flash it and it will replace the files.

[ROM] 6.01.605.05 Stock OTA ROM (6/27/2012)

So after a long wait and a lot of people asking about it. Here is the full 6.01.605.05 Verizon Wireless OTA. Packaged with the new kernel. The only thing that has been done to it is it is rooted, busybox installed and init.d support enabled. This ROM is still odexed and I've uploaded 2 versions.
1 is full stock with all the apps as if you just got it (with the exception of SU being added.
The other has most of the VZW apps removed.
Feel free to use this ROM as you wish. Use it as a base or whatever. There may be add-ons at some point but I'm not promising them

Nice - maybe this will help solve the weird shut-down/boot problem my wife's phone just started doing today. I can't stand all that VZW bloat (wish that ICS was out for this phone).
Would you mind breaking GSM support? I don't need it, and I already miss the complaints.

Maybe try to get rid of some more bloatware as well - ill post the findings. lol.

Seems like google drive is unziping the zip file and giving u an option to download each file. Will make a mirror to download. Mean while if you dont want to wait. Download the files that start with system. And push them.
For example. System/app Secsettings.apk to system/app
System/framework/android.policy.jar to system/framework.
