When I tried to install Google Wallet it quit with the message that it was not available on my device or network. Anyone know of a way to patch the apk?
you need more than a patched apk you also need to mod your host file in this case to the sprint note 2.
Are there instructions somewhere that will work on this device?

Keep us posted...
It will probably never work without the secure element. If someone gets a hacked version its probably not going to be safe to use. I sure wouldn't put my credit card info on it. I think att and a few other carriers are going to use a different app called Isis or something like that.
Either way be CAUTIOUS

Fortunately, this community specializes in "locked" things! It's only a matter of time!

the secure element is and always will be next to impossible to crack. Hence its name, I dont know what is locking it and if it will be easy to bypass or not.
Bear in mind tmobile and att r backing isis which will be putting out sims with their own secure element. Its the carriers way to force u to use isis instead of google wallet.
How sweet mr carrier guys

2012.06.07SEC_DRIVER is what I got so far from the file. I gather maybe Samsung's drivers for Samsung Androids. Possibly for Samsung's ICS and JB. Galaxy S3 has this too.
Anyone else knows different or more? I am am very curious.
I have the exact same file on my S3.
I have that file too. No idea.

I bought and rooted my Galaxy S3 a few months ago. since then I have flashed several roms. When the jellybean update came along I flashed a stock rom so I could update to stock jellybean, after the update to jellybean i noticed that my phone signal kept cutting out. The meter would cycle from full bars down to no bars then back up again over and over. while this was happening I could not make or receive calls. Tuns out the problem is caused by the IMEI reading 0. I don't know when this actually happened weather before or after the update. I have been trying to figure out how to fix this, but I don't understand what little I have found on the internet. Can anyone help me?

Thanks for the link but I dont understand what they are talking about.
like: "Put phone into RMNET + DM + MODEM mode"
I have no idea what that is.
and this section: "Look in device manager under ports and serials you should see your phone there.
Now open QPST Configuration click on ports tab and then on Add new port button type in COM## where ## is the port number your phone is connected to."
Is this even english? I'm sorry but i'm a newbie and have no idea what im doing.

You are putting your phone into RMNET + DM + MODEM mode by using the Stock Dialer on a Stock ROM and entering the service code provided in the thread (*#7284#).
There are some good videos on YouTube of how to fix this and how make a back up in case it happens again. It a lot easier than it sounds.
Thanks

What's funny is my IMEI decided to implode itself after I flashed the 1/15 Cm build.. Fixed it and everything is up and running now, just never thought it would happen to me. The only thing I can think of for why this happened to me, was because I had just switched back to CWR from TWRP.. not sure if there is a connect, but seems plausible. Back to TWRP now.

DO NOT FLASH this rom as I do not know if it will go perfectly or catch your phone on fire. I take no responsibility for your actions.
With that said, here it is 4.3 for the N7100 and I was hoping that a developer would be able to port it. Judging from the discussion I have been reading Knox is included and causes some problems with root but you can disable Knox from your app manager. Anyone with porting experience care to weigh in?

Hmm, yeah didnt see that. I only saw the forum sub title seeing N7105
Well maybe we'll have ours soon.
I tried flashing a couple ROMs with this base and all they did was get as far as the boot screen, and then the phone vibrated in a pattern similar to Morse code lol XD I went to recovery and restored my last ROM and all was well. I hope we see a port soon!

Thunder Kit Kat was the first one I tried, actually.

Wheek wheek! Any time
I wonder if it would at least be possible to pull some of the newer features out...
This is working for me except for the radio. WiFi is working wonderfully and this thing is blazing fast!

Exactly. Meaning that all that's missing is the radio...There are devs out there working very hard on this as we speak
That's awesome let's hope it works out
Question is wifi calling out of the question?

Nothing yet as far as I know. We are waiting for Samsung to release a kernel for our models.
As the title states I just switched, I have run into a problem though.. I tether my phone to my computer through wifi hot spot but since I switched carriers whenever I try to hot spot now it tells me to contact AT&T to set up?? Any way to get around this?? I'm on stock4.4.2
There is a way
Dont remember how but i found it on these forums by searching
Im also on stock 4.4.2
But rooted and custom recovery
I remember i had to edit a line with sqlight editor in the system database
It was rather simple
Ill see if i can find the thread back

Hi there, i have a 1 week note 7 which works Good and no problems at all,
Is there a way to know if my Note 7 has a Chinese battery (not affected by failure)
My Note is made in Vietnam SM-930FD
I would like to know too but I think that requires to be opened, ruining the IP68. There is no software I know of that can tell which battery we're on.

I think Samsung should know by serial number or Imei...
I hope soon they will find out, I'm anxious to know if I'm walking around with a time bomb.
check if you have the play store?
as I understand it only the devices intended for China have the "safe" Chinese battery, and China doesn't allow the Google play store to be pre-installed.
note7checking is in the site for checking - worked for my t-mobile made in china Note 7 - confirmed I was ok since I wasn't eligible. couldn't post link as it was blocked and it wasn't easy to find, hopefully googling "note7checking" will work for you
