That was my reaction too mate..but then i researched a bit and saw nebkat got a note II and he fixed the camera on the other firmware and his git is forked from imika's git with a whole lot of new commits so maybe he continues while imika goes back to giving us the PA goodness
just a speculation though

This happened last time with his n7000 thread, unexpectedly closed, then 1week later, we had official cm10 support
I hope its the case here to.

Yes it is closed...
Thread closed here also, Thanks.

alright man thanks, whered u hear about that at?
Look in the General section. Thread is titled "Eugene's new CM7 build."
Or, you could also look at the CM7 thread in the dev section. Both have info pertaining to the new build coming from Eugene.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1560970
Here is a link to the thread that I was referring to. Eugene has been making great progress and it sounds like he has a fairly stable rom. He said he should be releasing it at some point this week.
It's already released.

Where is the official Cyanogen ROM thread ?

I see a ton of ROM threads based off tweaked versions of CM9, but is there an official straight up official CyanogenMod thread from the main developers themselves for the Galaxy Nexus ?
1. go on dev section
2. search CyanogenMod 9 (only 1 thread have this string in the title)
3. ?????
4. profit
(that the nighlty (experimental) thread, because there is no RC and no stable yet)
Like andQlimax said, there are no release candidates or stable builds compiled by CM team members yet. However if you have a look in the development section there is a dedicated (nightly) thread maintained by Imfloflo who compiles from the CM teams Github as it's updated. It is 100% CM, just compiled by someone that's not a member of the team.

hi,
i am coming from nexus s and really wondering, why there is no official cm9 for galaxy nexus?! a nexus not supported, times are changing...
but however, thanks for the infos regarding the nightlies! as far as i know these, they are not necessarily stable. so my question is, the ones provided, are they for daily use already, or is it a question of testing, as i went through the cm9 nightlies experience so far?

It's because the nex is ICS, not GB. As it's still in nightlies and hasn't had an RC yet, no phones are supported in CM9, officially....
But the nightlies are definitely stable enough: I haven't had any major problems for ... well ... ever.
And here's the link to the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398495
i see, well, i did already have problems with nightlies, more than once!
of course it's not the big deal, because you simply flash another one...but actually i am too old for this sh*t!
i am going to stay with the aokp milestone 5 for now, seems to be quite a nice one...and stable!
Apparently CM9 is in a code freeze with an RC1 expected within the week.

Dunno what happened and I'm not going to presume, but just to clear something up that people seem to have a giant misconception about; John didn't create RootBox, so of course the other RootBox threads wouldn't be affected. He maintains the build for the SGN2, not the other devices as well. He just adds an additional flavor to the SGN2 RootBox with PUB.

Thank you for that, and to add to it: John doesn't jsut add in PUB, he is the OFFICIAL Maintainer for this ROM for this device.
Since there is no explanation as to why John's account is locked, is it something that could possibly be a reason to stop using this ROM? Like a security issue or something? Malicious software? I'm assuming not as his work is still allowed to be here just not him...
I love this ROM and hope all works out for him.

yeah, dont let your imagination get the better of you...he obviously had some issues with the mgmt here, so dont worry about his software being "the problem"..

[Q] Build CM (CyanogenMod) for the hltetmo

Okay, so after no updates for a month and no sign of any sign of AOSP for the Note 3, I have decided to take things into my own hands. Or so I would like to believe. The problem? I have never built AOSP or Cyanogenmod before, let alone for a device that isn't even supported. So I was hoping the wonderful XDA community could help me out.
The only thing I really can't figure out is how to build CM/AOSP for an unsupported device using a device tree. Someone posted this tree on Github a month ago - https://github.com/OUDhs/android_device_samsung_hltetmo
Then there is a Cyanogenmod kernel for just regular hlte (not hltetmo), posted 10 days ago - https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_samsung_hlte
And then there are blobs for mi5 (not mi7), posted 2 days ago - https://github.com/DoItForTheRatchets/vendor_hlte
So my questions are:
Are these any indication of progress on AOSP for the Note 3?
Can I/anyone build CM/AOSP from these for the hltetmo.
I know people have gotten CM on the Note 3; we have all seen the blurry pic one, but here is someone else on October 24th - https://plus.google.com/u/0/+TonyLayher/posts/A4J8eRH8Rht

It looks like it's progress or at least people are tinkering around with it. However, you would need a full tree for the device if you wanted to build it from source, know enough to get your own tree, or be able to fork from other device tree's to get something going. The new Nexus has the same chip so that may make things quicker with getting a full working device tree. I'm just quoting based on my own understanding of things, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
I've been wanting to know the same. I've built AOSP ROMs before (namely AOKP for my Note 1 pulling from CM's device tree) and would do the same if the files were available for the Note 3. A few devs have teased the community with screenshots, but until they post their code a tease and a cruel joke is all that it is. I really wish these devs would put their source code up even if it is incomplete and let the community at large get this thing in gear since obviously they can't do it fast enough single-handedly. Holding back code until it's "ready" defeats the entire purpose of open source development in the first place! We have the kernel but no one has a full device tree out yet, only a limited one for recovery purposes (mainly the TeamWin one from TWRP).
Any updates on cm10 or cm11 for the note 3
Sent from my SM-N900T
Within hours of any (usable) device tree updates you'll see an explosion of new CM-based firmwares in the Dev sections.
I'll be building BeanStalk for hltetmo, probably 100 ppl will upload unofficial CM 11, it'll be a giant party for all.

Im looking for someone who knows a little better than me about building without the proper blobs for the device. Once the right blobs are available, it will be custom ROMs galore!
What blobs do you need? I thought blobs had to be extracted from the TW stock ROM. GPU blobs should be able to come from any other S800 device right (like the Nexus 5)?

There's enough on GitHub right now for a starting point. I've just started to poke around this morning so I can't say much. Tbh, I've been fairly content with TouchWiz so that's been one reason I haven't had a strong interest in working on AOSP

please..first rule of CM or XDA, never ask for ETA, and never ask or push developers to speed up their work or we will never get any of it..
just keep waiting and when the time has come, they will share it with us..just dont keep asking for ETA please.. and i hope that xda newcomer on zf2 forum must learn this word, NEVER ASK FOR ETA for any development..its a taboo here..

I'm not. Something I learned some time back is that unless the kernel and device tree of the aftermarket ROM (like AOSP, or a derivative like CM) is developed by someone that knows every last nook can cranny of the device (as in the OEM, and I don't imagine that happening), the device won't be optimized out of the gate to provide better battery life than stock.
Hacking a device tree from scratch, rather than building on what the OEM has provided (albeit not knowing what route they are going with this one) spells problems. Of my two devices that I had custom ROMs for, neither worked fully (no matter which ROM you chose) or engaged more hardware (something was always missing or broken) , and the battery life was worse than stock (even with modest OS jump, from stock GB to ICS/CM9).
You can see how I voted, although I am not reserved to stock forever. CM13 or CM14 would be the time I would be interested in something other than stock, when the kernel and device tree becomes mature enough to prove myself wrong regarding the above.
The only thing I like in official FW is "double-tap to wake".
But it's actually not "double-tap to wake" because the phone never sleep.
When I watched CPU state with CPU Spy and found out Deep Sleep state never be used.
The reason why it's drain about 1%/hour even not connecting to anything.

You could follow here if you wanted. I believe the only thing you will get here with regards to CyanogenMod for the ZF2 will be the ROM post/thread when it is ready. I understand what you are getting at. My point was this particular thread should not have been made in the first place. A simple search would have yielded info the OP was looking for (with the exception of an ETA).
Shame on me but never saw any CM rom, not even from distance. Can someone link me some good source of picture/video so I can see some good/cool stuff about CM and decide if it is worth more than ASUS stock rom (which is pretty good by me)?
