Looking forward to seeing the Tablet Mode the most. I'd love to see a little bit on the benefits and drawbacks. I've looked into it occasionally, but it always seems like there are issues with some of the core apps and keyboards that make it a dumb move. Hopefully you can elaborate or show how to get everything 100% functional.
This is a great post. I have recommended 5 people to it already. Saves so much hassle not having to type the same information over and over again. Now all we need to do is post a link.
Nice work...
Just posted the link on GalaxyNexusForum.com too

This is a fantastic thread for beginners. It's about as fool proof, as written words can be.
Wug's root kit is good for PC users. 1Kid at the GalaxyNexusForum made a rooting kit for Mac users. Mac users can run into all kinds of problems, because most android language and adb commands were written with PC users in mind. I once came very close to hard bricking my DroidX because of mac related errors. My phone had to get a full system wipe and the android OS had to be reinstalled on my phone by Verizon. I was fortunate to have a tech savie rep.
Could you officially include 1Kids root kit for newbie Mac users in your thread?

The Galaxy Nexus is great phone, but the minute you have to attach any android phone to a Mac, the steps for the computing side is different.

I will add that asap. Thanks for the heads up. I have been quiet here for a few days because I have been reformatting moving it to my WordPress site. Mostly because of the size.

Major update to the OP
Hello all...yes, I am a noob! I recently discovered the joys of rooting my Evo4g...talk about breating new life into outdated technology! Anyway I have been flashing roms for about the past month (drives the wife nuts, always tinkering with my EVO!!) and I have learned how great theming can be - I love the look of ICS and JB but I prefer to not sacrifice the built in features (4G, FFC...etc) that have not been developed for the newer systems. I finally settled on DroidGTR-Turbo (wonderful rom for GB, btw!) and got all my apps reinstalled and convinced myself that the time had come to finally just enjoy my EVO instead of playing with it when...(GASP!)...Microsoft released XBox SmartGlass for Android!!! I had been waiting with eager anticipation for weeks since I heard about it so I went to download it and (GASP! again) "For Android 4.0 or higher"!!! I googled for ways to get it to work, wiped phone and installed on a ICS rom to get the apk reinstalled GB and even found a hacked apk file but I got a parsing error when I tried to install both. So now I am running MazWoz-EVO JB rom (LOVELOVELOVE it btw! Great Job) and as an added surprise I now have shutdown animation, which I never considered before. Here is my issue (after that long winded yet hopefully entertaining introduction to meself!) - and it is in no means a "deal breaker" issue - the shutdown animation uses the bootanimation.zip and I would like to know what file to edit to use a different zip for shutdown than for startup - if that is even possible at this stage in developement. Also, it seems after about two weeks of googling and researching that bootsounds in ICS and JB are not possible at this point. Is this indeed the case or did I miss something somewhere? And of course what would make both of those (very minor) issues completely null and void to me - has anyone found a way to get SmartGlass to install and run on GB?
Thanks for your time!!
Not sure where it is on Rom your running. But using WinZip, or 7-Zip you can check to see if it's in Data - Local. It will be named downanimation.zip .
Hi guy's some of you might remember me,I've done a little developing in the past.Anyways to make a long story short.I got tired of waiting on a 4.3 ROM to play around with on my old NS4G so I did a little work and got everyone a 4.3 ROM to play with. I'm not saying I helped or did anything to BUILD this ROM i just edited a ROM posted for the nexus s.All credit goes to cn.fyodor and his thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2410844
Go hit the thanks button for him.
I'm not really into developing anymore i don't even have a machine set up to handle doing this stuff. If someone would like to take this and work out the bugs that be great.
P.S. I justed noticed he has updated to v2 Ill probably make the edits to that and upload at later date.
You take all risk when flashing your phone.Don't cry to me if it breaks.
How to install
-download rom-- aosp-4.3-crespo4g.zip - 118.03 MB
-Boot into recovery
-make a nadroid
-wipe everything
-install rom
-optional download gapps from cn.fyodor post, flash them
-reboot
-issues--
-mobile network should work because my phone does have proper time and date but i don't have it hooked to my account using a GS4 currently
-some settings might FC part of gsm port to cdma.
-flash for the fun of it and tell me.lol

Hey, welcome back!! If memory serves me right, you released the first ics port for nexus s, right? The sdk port?
anyway, thanks for the 4.3 update! I've been trying to find time to do this myself
Flashing now :good:
Thanks for the port. Lost root, but I just flashed superuser in recovery and it was fine. The only problem I encountered was no calls in/out. Otherwise, nice job!

Hey, i just purchased the Galaxy Tab Pro T325, after looking into Flashing Custom Rom i came to find out there isn't any out, needles to say this is a GREAT device and would have thought to see several cooked up by know, what would be Awesome in my opinion would be a Custom Rom made from the Source of the Latest Galaxy S5, if its possible, that would be hot. i have the note 3 Running a Custom Rom From HyperDrive (Big Up to Them, Best Rom so far for the Note 3), its based off the S5 and its OFF the HOOK. Just a thought, will be here Patiently waiting, cause i love this device..!!!!!
from t311 to t325
I asked me the same. I changed from the Tab3 8.0 lte to the t325 and the only customs i found are for the wifi version.
The T325 is really the outstandinged Tab out there.
I had from nexus7, nexus7 2013, Acer, note8 every tab that reads good at the specs.
But this great tab is perfect.
I rooted it and and changed all things that are possible with xposed. Thats a good deal at the moment.
Not everybody would pay this price for a tablet.

I have a very basic rom I was working on until I broke my screen that u guys can try...nothing but the knox apps have been removed so anything else u don't want will need to be deleted directly from the zip or uninstalled after flash (I'm sure u can find a list of whats safe to remove somewhere on the site). This package has been deodexed & zipaligned but that's about it...u will probably need to download "supersu" & which will ask u to update the"su" binary (just select "normal" method when prompted) after u flash. As an added bonus...4 way multiwindow also known as quad view from the note pro 12.2 has been enabled, along with lockscreen shortcuts as well as multiuser & I also added the assistive widget flashlight back but it only shows up in the widget drawer NOT in the homescreen add widget list for some reason. Also...i have included a fix for using the screen mirroring function (please thank @esgie) with a custom kernel/recovery & enabled the art runtime in the developer options (although this has NOT been tested yet & does NOT work with xposed or deodexed roms which basically deafeats the purpose)

Welcome to The Arko Project
About The Arko Project: I first started this project on the LG G5 when development was still slow for that device. That version as well as a version for the LG G Stylo was never released publicly due to image burn from a botched deodex attempt, and coffee respectively. I had been on the forum's for a while at that point, and seeing the amount of devices being locked down was worrying to me. I wanted to give back to the community in some small way of my own. While learning as much as possible along the way. While also helping others do the same. I haven't had any formal education in programming or android. just what I've managed to pick up, and learn (I still am learning). It has been a long journey (as well as a humbling one), but it is not over yet. Nor do I believe it ever will be for me. There is always more to learn. That said I test run every build to make sure it's stable, and reliable before releasing.
However as with any Modification to your device: Your warranty will voided, and I am not responsible for direct or indirect damage to your device(s), and no warranty of any kind is given, or implied. You flash this rom or any other modifications linked in this thread at YOUR OWN RISK.
please read all installation instructions, and warnings. It also wouldn't hurt to read through the thread if anyone had posted.
I couldn't have dreamed of this being possible without the help of these great members of our community
@SuperR. (For his Amazing work with SuperR's Kitchen) @HPTesla for giving me tips, and information as to getting started) @Chainfire (For SuperSU) @bcrichster (For help with ota's)@cesarandres_8911 (For encouragement, and help with adding rounded corners)
If I by chance forgot anyone please let me know, and I'll add you to the op.

Notes
1*Deodexed: I did not personally deodex this rom, nor do I know if the Stock rom was even odexed. I pulled the system/boot images from my phone running 30d after downgrading from 30e to gain root. (If someone could enlighten me on this matter I would be grateful.) Edit: Rom was deodexed from oem.

3*Integrated apps: Xposed Installer, SuperSU, and Adaway all have their launcher icon removed. I have no idea if an update will break that (Although my guess is probably) SuperSU however remains in the launcher as well as in settings. So if you don't want to see it then you'll have to hide it manually for now. SuperSU should now be hidden also. (Adaway is version 57. I got an error recompiling version 60. You can update manually if you like, but it will probably break the hidden launcher icon.)
4*Custom Boot Animation: Please be forgiving. I have very, very little graphic design experience, but managed to pull something that I think looks halfway decent that was made frame by frame, and took a considerable amount of time. (Also I ran into an issue with the phone only displaying the images after a couple of folders so there are a couple of empty ones.)
That being said this whole project has taken a considerable amount of time. I like most others work 40+ hours a week. I am open to criticism, as long as it is constructive, and done in a polite way.
Install Instructions
1. Flash Multirom TWRP (Normal twrp gives error with updater-script) Can be found here:https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/multirom-v32-resurrected-d855-testers-t3147242 (Make sure you download the correct TWRP for our device D851.)
2. Make TWRP backup (Heavily suggested, but optional)
3.Perform a Full wipe (Dalvik cache, System, Data, Internal Storage,Cache) via TWRP>>wipe>>advanced wipe
4. Flash and reboot
LG incall bubble is disabled 120 seconds after boot via a su.d script.

Awesome thanks for trying it out. Let me know if you have any issues.
I'm probably let the Rom sit for a week, and make sure there isn't anything that needs to be fixed right away. I've xposed installer fc's on boot, but haven't seen one in a while. Either way it still opens, and works fine. I used it to install all my xposed tweaks.
I'll probably start working on a very basic ui theme. Mainly navbar, qs toggles notification shade etc. Then I'll look into the 4 way reboot. I've seen some old sammy threads searching on xda. We'll see if the same principle will work for lg.
Also if anyone would like to help test new builds let me know.
Will also let it sit for awhile and settle in. Preliminary go-through was okay. No issues other than that initial Xposed Installer FC.
Just want to confirm that the Xposed Framework is _not_ installed? Installer said it was not which caused me to get a little confused at first.
Now that I've had a look at what is and is not included I can reflash and setup properly. Essentially the same way as I do Nimax Slim Fit, Tekcafe, and Fulmics.
This is UX4? I forget. Last year I realized the old G3 TweaksBox themes for LP work on MM just fine. I used a few just to liven things up a bit on two ROMs running UX4.

No the framework itself isn't preinstalled. Just the new installer. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by UX4? If you let me know how I can find out. I'll let you know though. Also I never used g3 tweaksbox's theme engine myself, but if it works just let me know. I'm looking at options for managing my future themes, as decompiling, and retheming every one after an update would be tedious. Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. ?
Sorry about the UX4 questions. Brain is scattered. I forget that some of the stock-based ROMs out there have incorporated the user interface, launcher, and whatnot from elsewhere like the G4 or G5. Also forgetting that Arko is essentially straight stock, debloated. A good thing.
EDIT: The following had all kinds of goodies, mostly G5 compatible stuff with some stock G3 compatible mods. Maybe the dev over there can help out on the theming front.

I've found this guide:https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2038675
For a bunch of different samsung mods while searching for info on 4 way reboot. 4wr however is my main focus as having it could save a lot of time rebooting to recovery, and what not. I'm having issues getting a custom zip with a minor colors.xml change to test if that would work vs having to manually edit pngs & 9pngs. It flashes fine but won't boot past the animation.
I probably won't have time to look into it too much this week as I'm going to begin the process of moving, but most of my spare time if not spent working on the rom. Is spent reading about rom related things, and trying to learn as much as I can. Thank guys ?.
Thought I would post an update on the 4 way reboot progress.
I have finally managed to find the right dl links to the latest est smali/baksmali and new commands baksmalied services.jar (formally com.android.policy.jar) and found where to paste the smali resource files. Now as far as I can tell the are rather old. Probably even pre kk not sure. Assuming they work however (Not really expecting it hoping, but not expecting lol). They only issue will be finding the right GlobalAction number for the reboot button. The thread I linked to ealier said something about possibly being able to find it by tracking mreboot (have absolutely no clue.) I'm just gonna try the number listed in the guide, and go from there. If anyone knows how to find it however let me know. Thanks guys. ?
I let my phone go dead last night, and upon recharging my double tap to wake isn't functioning dt2sleep is. As well as google now isn't opening links. It grays slightly, and that's it.
I don't know if they are related, but I'm planning on hopefully releasing a new build with just minor changes. Volume steps mostly. So I may just reflash the boot.img, and see if that helps. If it does I'll make a zip, and post it here in case it happens to anyone.
I know updates have been far, and few inbetween lately. That's because I'm working on some android n dev courses I bought through xda-depot, and having to work a bit of overtime as well.
I haven't given up though just have a lot to do, and too little time to do it in. Lol. Thanks guys.
Edit: I also tried to start it up before charging and it made it to the homescreen with 1% and killed over. So that may also have something to do with it.
Edit 2: I discovered at least one other person was experiencing issues with google now as well, after a few reboots the dt2w starting working just fine. I haven't been able to finish the new build as I'm setting up a new enviroment. Got a desktop pc with a intel core 2 quad cpu 2.4 GHz 2.3GHz
5 gigs of ram, and nvidia quadro fx 570 with 256 mb dvram.
I plan on upgrading this pc quite a bit, but until it exceeds my quadcore laptop. I'll be running linux on my laptop, and windows on the desktop. Now all I need is KVM switch. Once my desktop can handle it I'll probably build with linux on a vm.
In case you're wondering I do all my apk editing/building/coding in windows.
Hey all I was hoping to have a the new build up today, but I haven't been able to make it because after setting up my new desktop the hd went bad so I had to have it replaced. I'm gonna start resetting up tonight when I get off of work. So I'll hopefully have it uploaded by Thursday, or Friday.
Edit: The vm took a little while longer to get set up, but rest assured I'm working on it. I'll get the new build up as soon as I can. Thanks guys.
New build is up guys. Enjoy!

Hi sorry for the late reply. I didn't get a notification, and my computer has been in the shop. Wi fi calling works just fine as far as I'm aware, but let me know if you run into any issues & let me know if you try it out. Thanks!
The loss of my G3's SD slot has curtailed my ROM flashing. No longer able to have half a dozen ROMs running on the phone but I still had enough internal space to try.
TAP runs fine. Data, Bluetooth, WiFi okay. Went through all the settings. All good.
GApps are ancient but that's okay I guess.
Needs some kind of file manager though. I like to setup Google later during ROM testing so I usually need to install certain tools first. Not possible via the ROM's DocumentsUI. I think the only flashable file manager I have is CM's. It might work.
About to flash ROM again with some extras and give 'er a longer test.
Oh, almost forgot. An OTA update of about 75MB came through. Not gonna take it, of course, but was surprised to see it.
