Does the At&t version of the Note 2 not include multitasking? I know a little while back Sprint users got this feature with a firmware upgrade so I figured that the At&t version would ship with this feature.
Anyone else buy a Note 2 today and notice this feature missing?

The AT&T version is already behind on updates. I went into the store today to look at the Lumia 920. Meh. The salesman showed me the Note II. I long pressed the back button...no multitasking menu. Took out my international Note 2 and showed him the multitasking in action. He was amazed. I told him THIS is the reason I don't buy carrier branded phones. They are always behind on updates. I wasn't being a jerk, I know they guy wanted to re-sign me on a contract. I was just making a point.
Point taken by him. I walked out of the store. This is why you buy unlocked. Not even LTE would lure me into a carrier locked, slow to update phone.

My mistake. I still have an S3, so didn't realize they changed it to the back button. (Patiently waiting for Verizon to release their N2). That's weird it doesn't work for you tho. One potential workaround would be using a different launcher like Nova or Holo and creating a launcher shortcut for recent's. Doesn't help if you're in an app, but you could at least place it somewhere convenient on your homescreen.

Ahhh...multiwindow. Haha! I always considered recent apps "multitasking" but I guess multiwindow is the true definition of multitasking now! I don't think many carriers included it out of the box, but most seem to be releasing updates with it already.

The SGSII phones don't need an app to take screen shots. Samsung included this feature on the phones. Take a screen shot by holding the power & home buttons at the same time. Hope this helps.

I think your image didn't attach properly.
is that there is no reboot feature in the stock version. I love that dev's include them in the roms. You really dont notice how good of a feature it is until you go back to stock for whatever reason and you just need to restart your phone because of an app and then not see it there. If Google were to include this in versions of Android I would be one happier guy.
/end mini, pointless rant
I KNOW! That whole 10 ~ 15 seconds between holding the power button down, selecting power off, my phone powering down and then pressing the power button again is so UNBEARABLE, I wish I could have that time back. I LOST a whole 10 ~ 15 seconds of my life! I want it back!

Hmm .. rather convenient.
root required:
install terminal emulator
load it up
allow it su permissions
type 'reboot'
done
search for extended power menu mod or flash a custom rom.
I suppose the reasoning is that these two options may confuse users because they're so similar?
Agree with the OP, there have been times I intend to reboot my phone, but only complete the power down and forget to power back up. Strongly prefer ROMs that offer this.
Why do you guys reboot so often? I've gone weeks or months without having to reboot my devices, unless there's a firmware update or something which forces you to reboot. I don't think my iPad had been rebooted since the summer!
Yeah, why do you need to reboot so much? My stock Gnex has 9d 10h of uptime at the moment...and I'm not familiar with any apps that require a complete restart of the phone in order to work properly?

Ok so i would of posted this in the development thread of the rom but I don't have 10 posts yet. It's really not that big of a deal but I want the app draw button from the screen shots lol.
I just have the regular ics one, is this because he changed it with the newer updates?
I know this must seem very silly but its frustrating the hell out of me!

Yes the ROM has been updated make sure you read the OP's update notes before you download and flash. You can always down load another launcher from the play store if you don't like nova.
I believe dazed switched in 1.3 from apex to nova. So just download apex and sent it as your default launcher.

I still use apex as well on version 1.4. You can change the icon used for the app drawer by long pressing it and then select edit and then tap on the icon. If you extract that icon from the ROM and stick it on your sd card, it will be easy to find and select. I would attach it here for you but I don't know if that's allowed!

I simply can't get this thing to work consistently..
It will only work if i open the Light flow app and go to notifications, then I can press home button and go back to my home screen but as long as the light flow app is still in the 'multi task' it will work, once I'll swipe it from there it stops working.
Also - when I check for 'Light flow' in the 'running services' under 'apps', it is still there, even after I've swiped it from the multi task , saying '1 process and 1 service', but it will not work unless I open the app itself and go into notifications...
Info -
It only started after the JB update..
I am not running any task managers etc..
I am rooted, stock 4.1.1 JB
I tested it with Gmail, charging etc..
This really sucks.. Am I the only one??....

Got a responce from the dev:
"Hi
At the moment for some reason in jelly bean swiping away the app causes the app to stop working. It'll show in the services as android restarts it on the crash, but it's lost its state until you re-enter the app to initialise it.
I'm looking into a fix for that.

I know I can't be the only one here. This is driving me crazy. Please help. My phone was rooted stock..then I unrooted and took all the updates to get current. Now ALMOST every time I wake up my phone with the home button, it brings up the task manager. It never did this since I've had my phone on launch day. Is it something in the update? Can I turn something off? I've scoured the net for this answer and can't seem to get it. I appreciate the help.

More info guys.
What lockscreen methods are you all using? Do you have the preview motion on? S-Pen settings? Voice command wake up settings?
swipe or No lock for me. When I did have swipe, I just had the clock & user banner. no preview motion. S-Pen sensor is off until removed. No voice command wake up.
Am I going in the right direction here?

This is driving me nuts on my T-Mobile Note 2, 4.1.2 OS. I spent a lot of time trying to troubleshoot this issue thinking i installed a misbaving app. I'm using the factory T-Mobile 4.1.2 upgrade ROM that's been rooted. Its hard to believe this wasn't tested before releasing this to thousands of people. Is there a way to at least manually fix this? I really need to be able to have a dependable home button on my Note 2.
