Req ics launcher

Just like the post says any way to get a working ics launcher apk kinda like how the one in the market for gingerbread is. Sorry if its been asked but idk if its possible or if anyones tried

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I downloaded it when it first came out and immediately removed it.

Yeah i tried i just want the launcher i have a theme with go launcher and the new acs ics with a twist is a good holdover but loving the lwp you and the keyboard awesome now time for the laucher

It has been attempted but the framework is so different that until there are stable ports to different devices it will not work out.
The one in the market to me just isn't good at all. I mean they did good work but just the fact that they insist on having those onscreen buttons there and not make them option is what bugs me the most. The app drawer is going to be a chore to try to even imitate. Like I said they do good work but they don't seem to take user input very seriously.

I feel the same about all android imitated launchers in the market, froyo, GB, ICS ex... But I think Ics is ugly anyways, that's why when it comes out for our phone, I will theme the hell out of it on day #1.

I like my tw4 app icons and if i change them all to cyan theyll look pretty good

Taking the proper steps...flash cm9 alpha 4.
Then download the theme and install. Then apply it in the themes section of settings.

natemodz red on cm9.. gapps is themed but then again i am using a slightly older version of gapps and its inverted. the ui is all red though

Go Launcher has a fairly descent selection of red themes (red Nexus live WP looks good too) and Dazed has a nice red flip clock.
DL your fav rom with inverted apps, DL and load Go, DL your red theme from market, DL Dazed red flip clock and you're good to go. Did this on my wife's EVO. Not exact, but it's close

I like the theme, but I agree with the above poster that the wallpaper makes it look a little busy and confusing. Loving the black & red theme though; as I currently have my desktop PC setup in an ROG black/red theme ATM that reminds me of this.

Agreed, definitely sick. But i'm ruining TDJ's UCLE2 beta-7. Could (would) you twist this to work on that ROM?

Is the official ice cream sandwich update any good ?

I'm tired of being on gingerbread but I'm pretty much dome with custom roms. I've seen a lot of people bashing the update so I never touched it but apparently they sent out another update a few weeks ago. Did it make things worse? How is the smoothness and battery life compared to stock gingerbread.

Official update is better.. on all accounts.. For those who don't care for touchwiz, we've abandoned it! lol

Worked well for me. You can change the launcher to a vanilla ics look if you go to Sprint id

I vote installing the ics BluKuban! He only bases off of official releases, and is awesomely themed and customizable to boot!

I'm a little biased, but I agree. I personally do not care for themed roms. I would prefer to make small changes myself and if I want a little theming, there are a few good launchers out that provide the theming that I need.

Im trying calkulin's 1.6 ics fe22 rom in the original development section. Yes its old. Yes theres recalk. His fe22 and el29 may be old but they are stable and ive not had any snafus yet.

Every time I try ics its still buggy for me. Sometimes the capacitive buttons don't work for a couple seconds, or the weird visual glitch in the task manager. None of it seems worth the hassel. JB is the way to go imo with project butter this thing is bulletproof. Yea they are a bit unstable which I realize I just complained about, but I think jb is worth it because you actually gain something compared to the ics update, where really the only thing you get is access to a couple apps (chrome etc) and instability. It gets rid of all the nice cosmetic changes ics made, and covers them with touchwiz. For the bone stock user, yea the ics update adds functionality (very little) but if you're rooted ics is a waste of time. That and the fact that no one can theme a rom to make this phone not look like a toy anyway.
